I cannot wait to return! Preferably in the cooler months when one can take advantage of the plentiful fireplaces in the rooms, two in the cottages and lofts! All I can say is that this place emotes a serene, peaceful energy that is just perfect for an escape. My husband and I were lucky enough to spend our most recent anniversary at Woolverton, staying in the Sojourn Loft, which, of course, had a loft, complete with a hammock, soaking tub, spacious bathroom with separate toilet, 2 fireplaces, a comfy bed, and beautiful views of the land. Check in was easy, we were walked to our loft by Katie, which was a nice touch. We were able to partake in the afternoon cookies and pet the sheep--I feel as though they make the place lol--feeding them was a great experience. Was so excited about the breakfast and with great reason. Hats off to the chef. Everything was top notch, high quality, and you can tell it was made with love. We chose the egg with asparagus and cheddar which came with perfectly made home fries, some of the best sausage I've ever had, a beautiful fruit salad, delicious strawberry scones, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Check out was easy and we left full of food and relaxation.

This was our first time visiting and we weren't disappointed. Our server was fabulous with recommendations. We really enjoyed learning about the inn from the owner as well. Great place and looking forward to coming back

I really enjoyed my stay (4-star rating only in relation to exceptional Inns I've stayed at in my lifetime). This place surprised me as I wouldn't expect the hills of New Jersey to be so relaxing. Bunkered down in Cotswold cottage. Pretty pastel blue, high ceilings made space seem large, fireplace & jetted tub added luxury, window seat facing sheep was tranquil entertainment, & screened porch a lovely place to sip coffee & talk. Large mini fridge stocked w/ complimentary water & soda stored our restaurant leftovers nicely. Standouts: In-room massage by "Yulee" knocked my socks off. In fact, I owe her a better tip (which I laid out beforehand not knowing this would make my list of all time best massages). I need constant, intense, pressure & she was powerhouse who knew exactly where to apply it. I'd return just for her. Breakfast sandwich immediately on to-do list for recreating at home. Grilled challah, scrambled eggs, thick-sliced bacon & tomato finished w/ green onions- glorious! This foodie was happy. Everyone loved full-service coffee/espresso machine. Breakfast delivered to room on day 1 made for special experience. Owner was receptive, not defensive, about feedback & place seemed a WIP that she was committed to. Prices were fair. I look forward to a return visit. Minor critiques- No stranger to anti-electronics B&B's, but at 1 point I did miss having a TV. (We stayed in during rain storm & thought how nice it be to snuggle up & watch movie.) Toiletries were respectable Aveda, but something more luxurious like French milled soap or bubble bath for the tub would be nice touch. Lastly, I celebrated a birthday- not unheard of to put complimentary bottle of wine or card in room.

Came here to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday and oh my goodness, this place is amazing! From the comfortable accomodations, to the hot tubs, to the fresh baked goods and the delicious breakfasts, this bed and breakfast was unbelievable. Also, there are sheep that roam around near the cottages. You need to visit this place. NOW!

Charming and historic inn on a pristine bit of property. Mary and Mario along with their staff are welcoming and cater to the comfort of their guests. We were in the Balustrade and loved having our meals on the balcony. Breakfast is delicious and filling. We enjoyed our relaxing walks on the property and petting the friendly sheep. We'll definitely be returning to Woolverton Inn!

What a perfect little B&B. If you are looking for a charming getaway, look no further. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their work and seemingly go over the top to care for their guests. The decor is pleasant and not overdone. Just the right amount of country charm. The beds are delightful and fire places add such a nice touch. Oh and the sheep are just the cutest things. The breakfast was just what we were hoping for. Fresh, delicious, and made with love. For a gal that is obsessed with swanky hotels, this was a great experience. Thanks!

The property is on a sheep farm! The sheep are very friendly, and you can ask the staff for feed to give to them.

This is a great Bed and Breakfast. The highlight is definitely the extremely friendly staff, but the in room fireplaces and jacuzzi in the Amelia Room also made it great experience! It's set on a beautiful property that makes for a nice stroll around to look at the sheep that live on the farm. The staff even provided some visitors with feed for the animals. It's also in a good location, just minutes from Lambertville and New Hope (a picturesque little town that's great to explore on foot). There were a few things kept this from being a 5-star B&B. First, the breakfast was not anything special. It wasn't bad, but it didn't have the same quality that I have experienced at other B&Bs. The good news is that they easily accommodated vegetarians and the service in the morning was also so friendly so that it made up for the basic breakfast. Additionally, they provide breakfast in bed free of charge - you just let them know the time and pick your dish the night before. Another drawback for me was the lack of soundproofing in the Amelia Room. We could very clearly hear who we presume were our upstairs neighbors - footsteps and more! This is a risk of staying at B&Bs, but still, it would deter me from recommending or staying in that room again.

Great Staff + Facility for Wedding Reception…read more - - - - - - - - October, 2023 Visit Our family visited Philadelphia for a family wedding. We had a good time. The wedding Mass was at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in Doylestown, and the reception was at Hollyhedge Estate. The bride (our niece) and groom, and the families, found a fantastic location with a great staff, at a wonderful location... so good that even a light rain throughout the day could not dampen the event. Hollyhedge and The 1740 House have the same owners, and they offer a shuttle bus from our room to the reception... we were able to socialize on the ride and not worry about driving home... three bus times were available. - - - The Arrival - - - Our first impression was a strongly positive one... it was still raining lightly as we arrived and as we stepped off the bus, there was a sizeable team of Hollyhedge team members holding umbrellas waiting to escort each of us / each couple inside... not a single raindrop fell on our clothes, thanks to "The Hollyhedge 'Umbrella Brigade'." (my respectful term) - - - The Food - Hours d'Ouvres - - - Some fantastic hours d'Ouvres were served, and if there had no been a site-down dinner, another couple of rounds of these would have filled us nicely... each and all were fantastic! - meat and cheese and fruit trays - bacon-wrapped shrimp - salmon fish tacos - grilled cheese and tomato soup - Philly cheesesteaks bites - Hamburger sliders - fried chicken on a waffle - - - The Food - Dinner - - - VERY good steak, and potatoes and veggies; and the person who ordered the chicken shared approval of her dish, too. And wonderful desserts which disappeared, fast. Good wine at the table, and the bar, which is a full bar. - - - The Basket at the Sink in the Restrooms - - - In both men's and women's room had baskets with anything you could think of... perfume, band-aids, and more... thankfully barely touched, but they thought of anything... to get you cleaned up and back out on the dance floor. - - - The Reception - - - The reception was in a Hall accessed via a short walk from the main building. It has high ceilings, and a bar and comfortably seated the ~200 guests. And the dance floor was the place to be. - - - The Ride Home, back to The 1740 House - - - After the main room was closed for the night, we went back to the front building for more socializing and a snack and then the buses got us back to the 1740 House, safe and sound Thank you, Hollyhedge Estate ----- ----- -----
