My friends and I stopped by Woosah while we were in Saugatuck for a bachelorette party, and we loved both the experience and the overall vibe. Inside the cafe is a gift shop filled with art, apparel, and fun local items like shirts and sweatshirts, which was fun to browse. You place your coffee order at a little window outside, at least during the fall when we visited; I am honestly not sure how it works in the winter months. When we arrived, there was a decent line of people waiting, which we took as a good sign. Clearly, this spot is popular. I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded good, but I ended up choosing the Harvest Moon Latte ($6.25). It had a good mix of brown sugar and spice flavor, and I did enjoy it overall, but the espresso was slightly more bitter than I typically prefer, and the drink was not very sweet despite the brown sugar flavor. Ultimately, I am glad I ordered it hot because the whipped cream on top melted into the drink and added a bit of sweetness, which helped balance the flavor. The staff did an excellent job handling the crowd and keeping things moving smoothly, even with a lot of people waiting for drinks. Since we had a large group, we were lucky enough to grab seats at the long outdoor table with swing seats, which was such a fun and unique feature. The outdoor seating area, in general, is cool and adds to the laid-back, artsy vibe of the cafe. Overall, Woosah is a great stop for coffee with a fun atmosphere and unique setup. Too cute! So I've been to Woosah Art & (Sidewalk) Coffee in GR. I didn't realize they had another outpost in this area. I love that they have such a unique pup cup! My pups slurped it right up - it was like pumpkin with some whip. I also got myself a lil 'latte which I enjoyed. There's ample outdoor seating and again, super doggo friendly. What a cute spot in the area and the staff was so nice. Drinks came out quickly as well. read more

Such a cute cafe nestled in the heart of Douglas. The cafe is on the outside of a cute gift shop called woosah but you could use both the indoor and the outdoor seating for either the cafe or the store. The cafe had some great options for coffee. We tried their mango matcha, strawberry shortcake latte, Girl Scout cookie latte and banana bread latte. All were good but the mango matcha was my personal favorite. They were low on the food options with just a couple muffins left. The outdoor seating has a couple hammocks and swings. The indoor store was so cute and artsy! They even had Jenny lemons clips, my favorite! They had the national park candles too and a lot of fishing inspired stuff (not a shocker since it's Michigan :p) Loved my visit here! read more

Me and my girlfriends stopped here on our last day in Saugatuk and wished we had discovered it sooner:') Not only is it a beautiful coffee shop surrounded by native greenery, but the inside has handpicked goods. Woosah is a coffee and pastry place with a great store of various items that are park-themed and promote respect for nature. Situated on the corner, there's a beautiful outdoor space of swinging chairs, hammocks, benches, and a fire pit. The service was friendly, and its dog-friendly outside. There's even a doggo latte. I had the Hazelnut latte, and my wife got the banana bread latte. I liked hers better, something about the cinnamon in it. The drinks were about $6-7, the specialty ones. Drip coffee and espresso-based drinks about $4-5. On a 10 scale, 8/10. There was an up charge for alternative milk, so just a minor grimace. But this is because I just fundamentally think if someone was lactose intolerant, they shouldn't have to pay a surcharge. Overall, please stop by here. This is the embodiment of Michigan in the summer by the lake. Just small independent places that create memories. read more

This place was so cute and got an extra start for the friendly staff inside. You order coffee outside, but the inside has a bunch of cute designs and things to buy. We took our time exploring, but didn't buy anything due to our budget and how the coffees were more expensive than we were expecting. Sadly, I would give this place 2 stars since the drinks weren't good and were expensive. We were really excited for the banana bread latte and were very disappointed. It was bad. When we drove by this spot for the first time I shouted to my husband, "FINALLY!" Because I always thought something like this would do gangbusters over here on the road to Oval beach. It's part coffee shop, part clothing/snack/housewares shop, and part beach rentals, all in a stylish little package! My husband and I stopped here on our way to Oval Beach for the afternoon and we loaded up on bevvys to take with us. A latte for him and a cold brew for me. At the last minute I was lured by the idea of a delicious beach slushie so I went back and ordered a cool cherry slush and it was so good! Not too sweet or artificially flavored. We had just had a bite at the Root Beer Barrel across the street otherwise I would have also totally loaded up on some snacks as the shop side also carries the perfect picnic/beach snackies like chips, candy, cookies, etc all made by small batch food purveyors. The shop part of the complex carries home goods and gifts like art prints, candles, blankets, ceramics, plus outdoor games, inflatables for the beach, clothing, and more. We were lucky enough to have access to lawn chairs and an umbrella from the bed and breakfast we were staying at but if not this would have also been the perfect place to rent them. They also have bikes too, which we definitely plan to take advantage of in the future. Also the outdoor seating area is SO cute. They've got hammocks and picnic tables with swings. Great stop and addition to the Douglas area! I've always thought this area could support more local coffee shops. Goodness, Uncommon Grounds is always bopping. This clever coffee shop meets gift shop features delicious seasonal drinks and a store filled with fun decor like mushroom tea towels and candles. I thoroughly enjoyed my oat milk mocha. There were several other treats I was eyeing on the menu. The outdoor discs features several seating areas including a swing set table under the trees. It also doesn't hurt that you can follow the walking trail from here to the beach (.8 mile walk). Overall, a lovely addition to the area. read more

This place was such a delightful surprise find. Passed it on the way to Oval Beach, and made it a point to stop on the way back. Coffee was good; but the environment and ambiance made it top-notch. Lots of kooky and clever seating outdoors (no indoor seating), a cute little shop with local goods, and a great vibe. One day we were there it was sprinkling rain; but that didn't stop the band from playing, the fire from crackling, the kids from playing, or any of the fun to be had. I ordered an iced Carmel latte, could barely taste the espresso nor Carmel. Tasted more like a lightly flavored milk. Second trip -- this time ordered the campfire cold brew, once again not very tasty. The attached shop, Woosah was super cool and worth the stop alone. Great store and coffee shop; a perfect combination! It's a beautiful and fun store to shop at; we had shopped previously here and at their Grand Rapids location. This location offers rentals...bikes, beach chairs and other items for your vacation. Yesterday, we enjoyed their coffee shop. My mom throughly enjoyed her latte and almond croissant. My son had a chai tea latte and I had the blueberry lemonade (it was incredible and made with blueberry purée). He and I also split a ham and cheese croissant and we both agreed it was the best we've had! We devoured everything before I even thought of taking pictures.
