It was fabulous and worth the $15 imo. Our waiter, Pedro, was the best! He's worked there for over a decade and knows the family that runs this restaurant--- 3 Dutch brothers--- he gave me a run down on the lore and all the pictures are of their family photos hanging around the restaurant. I think that's pretty cool. They will be opening and expanding into a new restaurant location on the corner of River and Lakewood Blvd sometime in the near future. That location will have more of a "hipster" vibe with breakfast cocktails, etc. Check them out when you want... but if you don't want to wait come during off peak hours and off season times. I give our experience only 4 stars because I thought that the service could have been a bit better. The place was extremely crowded, so I give the baristas some sympathy there. However, they messed up the food order of the woman before me, then messed up the order of my friend who ordered behind me. My friend asked for a hot chai but received it cold; then, when she politely showed her receipt and asked for her hot drink, they refused to remake it for her. I would still recommend this place, but I would be wary of going during a busy time of day.

The second I walked into Uncommon Coffee Roasters, I was hit with the smell of fresh bread. It immediately took me back to my grandma's kitchen. She used to bake a loaf of bread just for me--with no nuts, because she knew that's how I liked it. Walking into her house, I always knew exactly what she was making. The shop has a colorful, artsy personality that fits Saugatuck perfectly. It feels modern without losing that cozy small-town charm. It was all delicious. This isn't lip service all of the food was incredible! The restaurant is small but decked out in Caribbean art and nods to the island. It was a bit cold this morning, but there is also a nice patio out front. Just trust me, try it!
