Woosah is a store with so many unique and fun artwork. The shop has stationaries, clothing, hair accessories, and little gadgets. It is an art and apparel brand that is based out of Grand Rapids, and the store certainly has this local and intimate feel to it. The founder and owner of Woosah is Erica Lang, who is an artist who has a passion for creating art and spending quality time in the outdoors. You can see that from the creations and artwork in the store. In terms of the store name, their website says that "Woosah brings a sense of inner peace, calmness and stillness when said out loud." You do feel that calmness when you are hiking in the great outdoors when you walk into the store. It's definitely worth it to visit when you're around the area. If you're looking to decorate your house, or to get gifts for loved ones, I would recommend taking a look at this shop! Next door is a nice coffee shop, Outdoor Coffee Co, that was created as an extension to to Woosah. According to their front window display, Woosah is an "outdoor lifestyle brand created from the woodblock artwork of local artist Erica Lang." This is one of the most unique stores in Grand Rapids! It's full of unique, one of a kind items that feature Erica's artwork. The items mostly skew towards outdoorsy and adventure vibes, but I think there's something here for a lot of people. My recent purchases include stickers, sweatshirts with animal prints, and playing cards. They also stock many cool greeting cards, camping/backpacking items, candles, blankets, dog gear, mugs, patches and pins, tools, notebooks... the list continues! The shop feels like a place you'd find in the Pacific Northwest or Denver - hipster rustic-chic and artsy and cozy. It's definitely become one of my favorite local places to shop and it's so cool to see how a local artist has created an entire lifestyle brand with partnerships with Miir, Merrell, and Buff. Super fun little shop, with great branding and some good gear. My wife loves their sweatshirts and we went back to buy another. They have their coffee sold here on-site too. Fun posters, random assortment of camping items, lanterns, bedrolls, etc. They have a lot of coffee table books, so if you like to look like you adventure a lot, this is also a great spot to pick up some bonafides. I know the best customer isn't exactly one that just walks into the store and stares at everything - but I can't help it. I have a problem with loving everything, that it is so hard to pick and actually purchase something every time. Don't worry I do show the love and purchase things but not every time. Please please don't change making this an issue for me. It is definitely not a problem when you want to buy the whole store. I love that a lot of the times, she will be working on a new creation in the back of the store. Everything is great quality and made with lots and lots of love - it shows. Erica is one of the coolest people I've ever met. The first time I went to the shop, I told her about a mutual friend, and she jumped right in and showed me around the shop and her studio. Her art is fantastic and the quality of products is unreal. I would have gotten one of everything had my wallet allowed me (although I will say that I came dangerously close). HIGHLY recommend. I love Woosah! Erica is a printmaker and full-time (successful, shall I say?) artist based in downtown Grand Rapids. Most days, you can find her in the store answering questions and making' sales. She's an extremely hardworking and talented artist. This store is great for nature lovers and adventurers of life. Woosah offers a huge variety of shirts, backpacks, water bottles, stickers, patches, wall prints, hats, and sweatshirts with original wood-print art. I'd love to save up to buy one of the larger wall pieces :D I purchased my best friend a t-shirt for Christmas, and I went a size up figuring it would shrink. It did shrink just a little bit and fits her really well now! If you're on a budget for shopping, check out the sale bins. Last time I was in, Erica had four buckets full of $15 t-shirts with every size from S - XL represented. Shop local! Show Woosah some love!
