Located just a stone's throw from the Palladium and DCU center, this establishment packs a punch with its delicious pizza. Came across this business when searching for a cheap place to stuff myself full before a night of drinking and live music at the Palladium. This did the trick! The interior reminds me of the decor in McDonald's restaurants back in the day. Tiling, plastic booths and tables, and the occasional fake plant for accessory. I had the a lunch special meal - two slices of pizza and a soda for $5. Slices are decently large and very tasty. Thin, doughy crust, little sauce, lots of cheese!! FIRST I WILL TELL YOU: YES! YES!! Woosta Pizza was McDonald's back in the day. It closed sometime late 90's early 2000's, and became Woosta Pizza the BEST pizza in Worcester (Woosta!) Seriously, this is soooo good. I grew up eating real Italian pizza from the North End. (Regina's is still my fave!) Thin crust, foldable, with big fluffy crust/edge for dunkin' in dressin' like ranch or ceasar. JUST LIKE WOOSTA PIZZA!!!! Really, WHO DOESN'T FOLD??? ALL PIZZA LOVERS DO!!! SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Papa Ginos has NOTHING on WP. Also, try the tortellini - OMG - soooo delish! Salads are fresh and yummy. Brauna and her husband (owners/workers) are the REAL DEAL -they do it all and are so humble. Either I hit this place on a bad day or the quality of the pizza varies widely because I cannot really explain why other reviewers love this place and I hate it. I was in Worcester for the day for a workshop and wandered around during lunch time till I came upon the sign and something about "Worcester's best pizza." What a joke. This is the kind of middling, mall pizza you find in sleepy towns - cherished by locals as the "real deal" but laughed out by out-of-towners and big city folks who know a thing or two about pie. This place is cheap, but that makes sense since the pizza sucks. I don't remember the last time I was in a pizza place that did not have a non-meat option other than cheese - oh that's right, it was 1986 or something. I had lunch special #2, which consisted of a slice of cheese pizza, a very poor salad and a drink. The pizza looked like it had been sitting on the counter for a while and even a few minutes in the oven could not resuscitate could it. The person answered the phone attention was elsewhere but otherwise pleasant. We ordered just a plain cheese pizza. It is difficult to find parking because it is downtown Main Street. This is an unusual Pizza shop it seems as though it was a McDonalds. The place is run down. The smell of the pizza fills the room even before you open the box. Opening the box you are rewarded with a pleasant looking pizza that needs to be eaten. This is the thin Italian style pizza. The dough had that pleasant crisp but chewy feeling and the sauce had just the right amount of spices and sweetness. The cheese was a bit skimpy but did not take away from the flavor. This is a pleasant pizza and a bit shocked that it is located in downtown Worcester. This pizza is worth the drive, I will be ordering from them again. read more

Great place I didn't read the negative reviews yet because I don't really care,hopefully this will counter any of the negative reviews. For starters CUSTOMER SERVICE is a 5 stars they are very open very welcome and respectful,never had any problems or even a hint of disrespect with this company and by the way I'm a regular before I got my home renovations I ordered 5 times a week. They're always on time,I wait no longer than 30 minutes and I usually order a large box of pizza,manicotti (for my other half) small fries and sometimes a few snapples. THE FOOD,is almost all good I think the fries could be better when you first get them they're soggy because of the steam and have a slight hint of cardboard. The salad is always fresh,and the pizza is the best pizza I've had in all worcester and shrewsberry,better than papa Gino's. The bread is average sometimes they have a special bread that's good,regardless the bread you get with the salad and pasta is eatable,soft,and has a fresh baked taste. I don't really eat pasta a lot,but when I do it's usually chicken and ziti with broccoli and I think it's delicious,but again I don't really care because Im a pizza and steak and cheese kind of guy. The food is great,really good overall better than average. But on the short hand,because this is why they didnt get 5 stars from me Is simply I feel as if they're lazy,at almost any sign of snow you can bet that they won't be open,and sometimes after holidays they are still closed for a day,again this is after the Holliday and its disappointing to say the very least. I like Woosta Pizza, though I think the name is silly. The pizza is Italian style, and could use about double the sauce..but otherwise good. The sandwiches are a great value for the area and come with Potato chips for about $5 for a foot long. While there could be improvements on the pizza..it isn't your typical central massachusetts greek/turkish style (cooked in a pan) pizza that's everywhere. It's closer to Papa ginoesque Italian style, and they are a full 18 inches which is pretty huge. Calzones looked huge as well, though I haven't had one. I do appreciate this place. read more

I went in to Woosta Pizza and bought a drink and chips to use the bathroom. When I asked to use the bathroom, I was told it is for customers only. I asked if buying chips and a drink didn't count as a customer and was told no, it's only if you eat here. I proceeded to the bathroom that had an out of order sign on it, but it was In perfect working order. As a colleague walked out, the guy at the register shook his head, turned to another employee and said un-f'ing believable, the bathroom is for customers only. Now I am driving and have to use the bathroom again after drinking the soda I didn't even want. I would have bought a slice, but the pizza looked so bad that I didn't even want it. read more

The food was low quality. "Panini" served on thick cut slices of bread, soggy instead of crispy. Gluten free pizza was downright awful. I ordered a large roast beef grinder with extra cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. When I got it, it had just 1 piece of roast beef on the whole grinder! The grinder was mostly lettuce, tomato and mayo. I think there may have been a slice of cheese or 2 in there. You'd think for $9 they could have splurged for a few more slices of meat. I work downtown, so I've been exploring my lunch options. I stopped in around noon the other day with the intention of getting a calzone. Unfortunately for me, this was apparently lunch time for the MCPHS students, so I was told it would be a half hour. I couldn't wait that long, so I grabbed a lunch special with a slice of cheese, salad, and a soda. Luckily for me, the pizza had just come out, and it was great! The crust was a good balance of chewy and crunchy, and there was plenty of cheese. The salad was good, though looked a little sad. (Not their fault, I think, since it is February.) This is a spot I will certainly come back to for lunch. Next time, though, I will definitely phone iin my calzone order. read more

I love good pizza however, they skimp on the sauce and the next time i went in, they told me i have to request for more sauce which made it better but i had to pay for sauce where that amount should be on in anyway. I know they are kinda slow because the times i went in there, it was not very busy. I do like the pizza with the extra sauce. Pizza is pretty good customer service needs work. Was told a 25 minute wait for a call in order. Arrived at exactly 25 minutes they just put my order in the oven I waited another 10 minutes. First off, I have to warn you, I am a bit of a pizza snob as I am from New York and grew up in the Bronx and Long Island. I think I know a little something about the stuff but I may be entirely full of it or just plain wrong. Anyways, this is my opinion of the joint, for good or for ill. Let me tell you something, besides a Chinese place (Dragon King or something) and Dunkin Donuts and the Armin Abbey (I may have misspelled that!) which I felt under dressed for, there are not a lot of places to eat in Worcester at 230p on a freakin' Saturday! I read Yelp reviews prior to my visit, so when I saw the little sign lit up from a distance, it looked like an oasis. We (me and my gf) had been walking around the downtown area for quite some time when we arrived unintentionally at our lunch destination. First, I like the McDonald's turned Pizzeria layout. Nostalgia does play a small part for my review and it hearkened back to a much different time in my life. Heh. Enough of that, let's get down to the service and the food. In that order. The nice young woman behind the counter was pleasant, she had to deal with somewhat indecisive customers who were apparently from somewhere that doesn't have too many pizzerias since they seemed to ruminate over the entire menu and took upwards of 5 minutes to complete their order. We ordered the special (2 Slices and a drink for $5), both getting 1 slice of pepperoni and regular cheese and grabbed two sodas. The lady got our order correct and a couple of minutes later we were summoned by her to come pick up our food. Ya know, for only 5 people being in the joint and we were at the table by the register, she *could* have brought it out. I've also been called "picky" but that's an egregious understatement. The cleanliness level of the place was on the higher end of good. I know they probably only just opened an hour or so before but the tables and chairs were good and the bathrooms were better than passable as well. I find this very important to note about food places, sometimes the food can be so good but you just want to get it to go because of the interior of a place. Anyways... on to the Main Attraction: The pizza: Very average. Even though I was ravenously hungry, I did everything in my power to not let it skew the datum (i.e. The Pizza) unfairly. It was near identical pizza to a place back on the Island called Les' (in Patchogue). I am not a fan of their pizza, and as such, I am not a fan of Woosta. I am not an Enemy of it either. It was semi-crisp, had a decent amount of cheese, but very little sauce. Bother slices. The pepperoni slice had an adequate amount of topping and was just a tad bit better than the cheese. Overall, my rating would be a 2.5 if I were allowed to give half-stars. It is, in my conclusion, a good place to stop off for a quick something if you are going to the Palladium or if you have other local business but I'm not driving 15+ minutes to eat here if I were a local. I really don't understand the rave reviews. The people were very nice and friendly and the place very clean.That being said , the sauce had little or no flavor , the cheese had no flavor and was a mixture of what type of cheese I couldn't tell, I asked for extra crispy and extra sauce and got not much sauce and I think they tried to make it crispy but the dough was very weird like cooked on the outside and raw gummy on the top under the sauce.I have this problem that time and again where I actually sometimes get drawn into a place because of a review.Doesn't anyone in these restaurants ever taste the food they are serving ? read more

I stumbled onto this place while walking from the MCPHS campus and searching for a slice and have returned a few times. The pizza is typical and doesn't lean either way in quality.Slices are your favorite are here and they have affordable sandwiches and a decent size menu of other options. Came before show at Hanover. They looked closed even though it was only 5 but when I called they said they were still doing deliveries. So they let me order for pickup. Ordered vegetarian calzone without broccoli. Instead they put in extra veggies which I didn't ask for like bell peppers and mushrooms. So don't trust the menu to be accurate. After picking out unwanted ingredients it was decent. The service was good enough so that I would come back again, just more careful in ordering. read more
