I have been a member for about 5 years and feel it has gone downhill. First of all, I'm glad they have gone back to teller service again and not just those self serve machines, but the employees are not very friendly or understanding. In the past few months, I think they all left, which I don't blame them. Steven was so nice as well as a few others (don't remember their names). I walked in on a Saturday, and had a question about my account. I spoke to several employees about my potentially negative situation, and none of them seemed to have any sort of empathy or compassion. I have been working in customer service for years, and this is NOT how you treat people. Especially working at a bank, you need people who are personable and understanding, as there are many members with different issues they need help with. Also, the 1-800 phone customer service is awful. I wish it was easier to get through to someone without having to press a million buttons. Sadly, I will be switching credit unions. It's too bad cause the only positive is their interest rates are pretty good. read more

I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Workers Credit Union. Based on my interactions, I'd advise others to carefully research and consider alternative financial institutions that better meet their needs. I encountered issues that led to my dissatisfaction, and I encourage others to thoroughly review their options. It appears that Workers Credit Union have evolved in many illegal activities by stealing from clients and forging contracts for many years. Specifically individuals Rose Ruggiero, RRuggiero@wcu.com, who is constantly on vacation and working closely with the CEO of Workers Credit Union to commit the frauds. Not to mention Rose and CEO of Workers Credit Union is also evolved is a digital coin scams by stealing large amounts of money from their clients. This bank has been nothing short of a nightmare. A car loan that I had through workers I decided to voluntarily repossessed because the vehicles motor blew and my gap coverage would not take care of it. So I really didn't have a choice. Bank was notified and never picked up the vehicle. It was unable. I spoke to numerous people on many occasions, and all of which said this was a unique circumstance, and they would have to speak to Management and get back to me. Well, they never did. And when I did get calls from the bank, they would act as if we had never discussed it and I didn't have a clue what I was talking about nor did they even if it was the same person I previously dealt with. I wake up today and my account was debited 3400 and past due loan payment because the bank never followed up with the voluntary repossession and had the loan still open and because I have an account linked on the page with my loan payments, they decided to take it upon themselves and take the money with no notice at all and legally they have to send three notices. I know this because they also debited my forgiveness checking account over $500 a few months back as well and never put that back either, stated they were gonna call me back with proof that they sent notices out but never did. What my advice? Do not use this bank. They are fraudulent and they are criminals and they will steal your money. I'm currently sitting at the bank branch, waiting for her to open to fight to the nail for my money back because that was a down payment on my house that is due at the end of this month I've been in contact with these people on many occasions and nobody can seem to give me a definitive answer on what exactly is going on. But they have no problems stealing my money! read more

You can no longer speak with a person face to face. You have to deal with a stupid ATM machine. When you call to speak to someone on the phone it takes multiple times to finally get to someone to help you. Their customer service has gone downhill. I've been a customer for over 12 years and I'm ready to pull out all my money and go somewhere else. I'm done with this impersonal bank! read more

It is ridiculous that you cannot walk in and speak with a human being anymore. You are forced to use an interactive ATM for everything. So everyone in the bank waiting behind you hears all of your business. They even closed their drive up window. So user unfriendly. I closed all my accounts. It's too bad because they were a good bank at one time. They used COVID as an excuse to remove all the live tellers. I joined DCU instead and couldn't be happier! read more

You can't get anyone on the phone. The last time I talked to someone he didn't know anything. I have been advised twice what the hours are and they were wrong. Have to log on frequently because you won't be able to get in. I don't want to do business with someone I can't get on the phone in a reasonable time. read more

I've been a customer of Workers' for years. My husband, for longer still. Friendly, knowledgeable people who treat you like a human being. A "bank" which doesn't charge extortionist fees for every little thing --- because they don't have to: there is no fat cat CEO who needs to have a bonus paid. The people at WCU work for their customers -- period. Between my husband and me, we have regular checking and savings accounts, two credit card accounts, and our mortgage at WCU, and we have never had a single problem dealing with the staff -- nor a fee that made us ever raise an eyebrow. I wouldn't go back to a regular bank for any reason. read more
