The employee I spoke with was kind and clearly told me it would not be a problem. Based on that, I drove over 30 minutes to the salon with my son. When I arrived, I set up my account, paid, and was ready to go back when the assistant manager, Sarah, came up and said my baby was not allowed in the back and I would have to leave and come back another time. When I explained that I had specifically called ahead to confirm this, she tried to tell me I must have called the corporate office--which was completely untrue. I repeated the exact number I called (the Pantops location), and instead of taking responsibility, she doubled down and refused to acknowledge the mistake. There was no apology, no attempt to fix the situation, and no effort to make it right--despite the fact that I had just driven over 30 minutes each way with a baby based on incorrect information from their staff. I also had to specifically ask for a refund; it was not offered upfront. Yes, I ultimately received my money back--but that does not excuse the wasted time, unnecessary trip, and dismissive attitude. The issue wasn't just the policy, it was the complete lack of accountability and basic customer service. If this is how new customers are treated, I would not recommend this location.

With that being said, there is one that I…read moretypically go out of my way to interact with because I swear she makes up different rules every time I visit and makes me feel anxious every time I have an interaction with her. Today, she asked to see my eyewear. I showed her the eyewear and she then informed me that I could not tan due to my eyewear. (I have the higher dose brand "red light" goggles, that are completely black out). I have also been using these same exact goggles the past SEVERAL times I have been at THIS location without anyone saying anything. I requested to cancel my membership and asked for her name. She then said she "wasn't allowed" to give out her name. I was at this location 4/7/26 at 5:46pm. This isn't the first issue I've had with this specific employee. I'm not sure if this will get to the appropriate people but you are most likely losing out on business because of this individual.
