Don't get me wrong, I quassia liked this Gym for over a year till this happen, I'm commenting on this incident not you Gym in San Fran...The Gym equipment isn't the real problem, what I wrote in my feedback is absolutely 100% true...it stands for itself, Do you agree that the Gym to be able to control who a person can ask out on a date, yes or no, I don't think so, the feedback I wrote is 100% true, no matter what rebuttals come, it's 100% true and accurate, I still haven't received my refund like they posted in my feedback, nope...And they did charge me a cancellation few. I'm a very good GOD-FEARING HONEST person ask Staff Dave or Gracie, they shouldn't treat me like a fringing "Stalker" (Read my Feedback in its entirety) I'm pisseed, so let's go, I will rebut this if you are too. They have a private group training studio, recovery suite, turf workout area, and so much more. Terrible place. The first day my husband went to workout anytime, he had billing questions. The manager got upset with him and her husband told my husband he was not welcome there and not to come back. Now seven months later a lawyer calls and say he owe them $270. How can you owe money to a place that won't let you in??? Be aware of your account. These people are thieves. read more

Pros: Clean, new equipment, 24-hour access, consistently uncrowded. Cons: Super pricey for what you get. Roughly $550/year compared to Chuze Fitness at around $170/year. Signed up for a 12-month commitment but almost certainly won't renew in 2025. read more

Horrible experience, avoid at all costs! The owner is executing fraud. The gym sold me a membership based on their cold plunge which is in a trial run. They pressured me to act quickly, both in person and over text, because prices were increasing in the next few weeks which wouldn't include the cold plunge. When explaining the protocol of the cold plunge, they gave a sort of "it's all in trial right now and we are figuring out the logistics of it" type explanation. No one told me I would have to have someone with me in the room while the plunge was occurring, they only said it would only be open during staffed hours. Being someone who exercises alone and is new to the area and the gym, I don't have anyone to be in the room with me, and I would have flagged that as an issue for me becoming a member since the cold plunge was the selling point for me. I got a membership on Monday, and today, on Friday, I walked in and asked to set up an appointment for the plunge. One guy at the front said "well we are in a trial period and don't really have the legalities figured out." I was baffled, since they had sent me several texts saying I should purchase a membership ASAP before they raise prices, in mid-August, which won't include the cold plunge! Another lady said "and you have to have someone with you" and I said "that's news to me." Another front desk lady said "Well I can stay in there with you or you can find someone on the floor to go with you." All of this was said off the cuff, as if I was supposed to just go with the fact that they sold me something that is illegal and not organized. I did a quick 20 min cardio after this conversation. and then returned to the desk asking for a full refund including the $120 up front fee. The manager approached me and told me he wouldn't refund me because the cancellation rule says three days (it's been four.) Are you kidding me? So the gym ripped me off, and when I ask for a refund for the product I they sold me that I can't use, they put the blame on me. That's fraud. I am reporting them to the FTC and BBB currently. You can imagine my frustration after just spending $120 plus another upcoming membership fee. On my way out in a rage, the gym owner said to me "Enjoy Planet Fitness" as if I was even considering going there. So they pressured me to purchase something that 1) isn't legal and 2) doesn't have a clear procedure and then when I request a refund, they blame me. Yes, I was enraged. I also felt ganged up by the staff who, instead of accepting their mistakes in the situation and working to remedy them, were busy gossiping about the situation. One front desk girl even lied and said she was with the other girl when the cold plunge explanation happened prior to me purchasing a membership, which was a straight up lie. I believe they brought someone to record the encounter on an iPad, recognizing the frustration I was in. I would call that bullying and group harassment if not worse, especially of a new member. Absolutely horrible business, horrible toxic community, and total legal fraud. 0/100 stars. This place should be out of business ASAP which I will be pushing for legally through the FTC and BBB. read more
