Just signed up for a trial membership with Nate, who gave me a tour and was very helpful! I told him I would be back in a couple days to pay for a year membership up front. I just came back today at noon(Sunday) to pay and work out. A man with dark hair parked in the front door in a black pickup who works there told me that I could not work out on Sunday because I wasn't a member!!! My pass says it's valid with NO DAY RESTRICTIONS!!!!! So, I told the RUDE guy that I'll just find another gym that will be glad to take my YEARLY membership fees upfront!!! This guy was rude! Did not offer to let me work out, never offered any solutions, and I told him I was calling the owner! He DID NOT GIVE A DAMN!!! I woulD advise NO ONE to go there!!!EVER!!! read more

They had me sold at 24 hours. The gym isn't bad however I think they sell you on the tanning and hydro massage thing. I'll admit I was suckered into paying the extra bucks for the extras. After thinks as a black man I clearly don't need the tanning option. So that leaves the hydro water blasting thingy. Complete waste of valuable work out time. When I did use it I walked away felling like my skin was tingling. Weird. Maybe the pressure was to high. Knowing me it was probably something I did. The only other issue that I had involved an attempt to cancel my wife's contract. She wanted to do classes and after several promises of classes they it never happened. So when I signed her up at globo gym (long story). My attempt to cancel reminded me of a senior that is dating an underclass men that wants to break up before prom. It was followed by more question and broken promises of classes. Other than those issues the gym is new with very good equipment. Not bad place to work out. read more

Do not join this gym. It's a real pain to cancel this membership. I moved out of Lexington. Tried to cancel membership over the phone. But they wanted me to either go to the gym or send a certified mail explaining why I want to cancel their membership. If I was living in Lexington at the time it would have been okay. But I had to drive an hour just to cancel membership. Also you'll have to pay an extra month of membership cost to cancel it. Just bad management. Stay out of it. read more

I wouldn't use this gym if THEY paid ME. It's that bad. I stopped in after seeing their billboards all over town highlighting a membership special. First, the person at the counter was dismissive, like she had better things to do than keep business coming in. Then, when she was outlining the membership options and fees, it was their standard charges. Apparently the billboards plastered around town were a figment of my imagination. She was kind enough to outline all of their numerous fees within the first couple of months (membership fee, join fee, "rate lock in" fee {what does that even mean?}, fee for the plastic tag that allows after hours access). When I balked at all of this for a basic gym, I was told it was an "industry standard", as if I had never stepped foot in another gym before. However, it's was their asinine guest policy that sent me straight out the door. Being able to bring my 16 year old son is my number one priority in a gym so I asked up front if they allow guests, and was advised they do have a membership option that does. Okay, great. Then she added that it doesn't apply to teens under 18 because they are "an 18 and older gym." BUT I could sign him up for his own membership (and have the privilege of paying all of the fees x2). That is okay somehow. They'd rather sign a contract with a child than let them attend with their parent. I left and went right down the street to a gym that ended up having far more features, who was happy to have my kid. read more

I do not consider Workout Anytime a globing gym. It does have some meatheads or gymhardos, but not like others. It has great equipment and everyone makes sure to clean up after using them. One of the best things about Workout Anytime is that you can do it any time of the day. You can even watch tv while you walk on the treadmill. read more

Would have posted a zero but couldn't. Went in to cancel cause I wanted classes. My monthly charge was posting for April apparently, however even though the charge was going through for April, my membership was cancelled effectively that day. I had planned to continue until end of April. On top of that a "30 day charge" was going to have to be paid immediately. I paid it but BUYER BEWARE! Didn't like the atmosphere anyway. My bad pick. Update: Management called me and corrected the error the clerk made of telling me I was not able to attend for the rest of the month. They also offered to extend the membership. PREDATORY BILLING. NOT BBB accredited. There are better options for the price. I haven't been there in over a year, and the owner, Derek, is not willing to cancel my membership without charging for a month extra. If you are attracted to this location by the rates, please take my advice and go a block down the road to LA Fitness. They don't have predatory billing practices. I literally am having to file a formal demand for arbitration to compel them to uphold my rights in the terms and conditions. Think a 6-minute mile is tough? Absolutely the best place to go workout I have encountered. This place just got taken over by new owners and Kayla is awesome, she tries AMAZINGLY hard to answer any questions and alleviate any concern you have and is wonderful at her job and taking care of her customers. I go late just about every night but the people there are friendly and let you go about your business and are just there to bust rear like you are. The hydro massage I have never experience before and I have to say I would pay the full price just for that no lie. After years of back problems it helps SO much. Its not the same as a massage but in my opinion its better because the machine doesn't get tired and you can target specific areas. If you are serious about losing weight and just want a small gym to do your thing this is definitely it. read more

I just joined this gym in February. It's a small gym but it does the job I do wish they had towels available though. I keep forgetting to bring one. I have never been a gym guy but I want to improve my health and do it right this time so I hired a personal trainer. Nolan has been very helpful in teaching me not only how to use the equipment but also teaching technique so I do not hurt myself and routines to do when I am in the gym. The price seems fair, maybe a little high, but Nolan will go out of his way to help you out. He always answers my texts when I have question. He will also stay with me after my session to help me finish up if he does not have anyone right after. I cannot say enough good things about Nolan. He works hard at making you better. read more

It has some basic treadmills, elliptical S and bicycles, as well as weight machines and free weights. But, as someone who has joined gyms in various cities around the country (New York City, Miami, Los Angels, Houston, etc.) I am surprised at how unfriendly the staff members are at this gym. You can walk up to them and greet them and they say nothing. When I first joined, I wanted to pay for personal training sessions, but after watching them work with clients over a period of several weeks, I changed my mind. I have never seen more bored-looking trainers. They barely engage with their clients. This gym could make more money if the staff were more welcoming. read more

The new 24 hour gym in town seemed awesome based on the Groupon offer I saw. I snagged the Groupon and planned to change from my gym with limited hours to this one so that I could go at times more convenient for me. It took a while to get to sign up, as the gym is only "staffed" part of the time. If you go after 8, you can't go in without a membership card (auto scanner opens the door, they said). So I finally had some time on Sunday to get over there during the "staffed" time (noon to 3 or something like that). I was told they wouldn't honor the Groupon because they didn't want to (I'm not even kidding, they suggested I ask for my money back from Groupon). They have ads all over town pushing their low $15 a month flat rate fee, but they have a $99 activation fee and that won't be the only fee you pay (of course!). You'll pay $30 two months in for a "rate lock fee" which I guess is for the privilege of paying the monthly fee. Lol. Plus of course there's the $15 fee for the key-card (yeah, just like those plastic ones you get at the grocery...actual cost about 2 cents). I found it further concerning that this guy was happy to sign me all up and send me on my way to come back for my first workout without any staff present without having even given me a tour of the facility or explained anything at all about the rules, how the machines work, etc. Yeah, super-safe...not. read more

I tried to choose 1/2 star but I can't. While the facility is nice, these people are crooks. Much like Urban Active these people won't let you cancel. The first time I tried they had me put my account in hold . I told them I was moving, sonow I moved away and they tell me I have to come back to town to cancel. They tell me they have no mechanism for this. So I went to a franchise in my new city, and they said they could do that and said the other location was being ridiculous. Why take information when you sign up, if you don't use that as identifiers to confirm ID on the phone. So if you join this club be prepared for the possibility of closing your bank acct to leave this business. read more

I am typically not one to write reviews but based on the fact that I have been coming to this gym for quite some time with only positive experiences I felt compelled to write the following. I have worked out at many gyms for the last 20 years and have to say the Matrix equipment stands as some of the best and it always works which I can attest has been issues other places. There is everything you need in regards to lifting and cardio exercising. They added a new area with lots of various equipment, rowers, boxing etc... I needed to travel out of town for a few months and the staff "froze" my membership with zero fees. The gym is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Its hard to complain when I signed up for like $40 and pay $15 a month. There is not another gym in town where I can get the variety I get here for the price of a couple of sandwiches~) read more

Went here today for my first gym visit (yea, my first actual gym visit not counting hotel gyms). Anywho, I wanted to try it out for the 3 day free and the customer service was amazing. The gal, Sydney, was able to give me an actual card instead of having me lug around my print off sheet. The machines were great. They had treadmills, angled bench press, bench press, and one for triceps. All I needed! They do NOT have towels though, so bring your own. For the machines, especially the treadmills, they expect you to wipe them down with sanitary wipes. It's great how they also have three tvs in front of the treadmills. Was able to see Brazil play another team for the -1 day Olympic games! read more

I called to join this place I was told I could not set it up on auto pay by the staff up front.. I would have to pay month by month... so I didn't think anything about it. I lost my job about a month later and finished the month out and never went back.. cause I could not afford it.. got a call from the bank that I was over drawn cause of them taking from my account ... so I called the place and they called me a liar.. and that I was wrong and the staff never told me that.. and they still wanted me to pay membership fees after costing me hundreds of dollars in overdrawn fees... and they said they would not stop it until I went in personally and closed my account there... never trust them with your bank account...if it don't suite their needs the customer is never right... read more
