DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS CRIMINAL, NEFARIOUS BUSINESS. I visited this gym ONE time on Feb 04th 2025, while visiting family in Winston-Salem. The next morning, I learned the franchise had no location in NYC -- where I live -- so I immediately cancelled my membership and requested refund of the $55.98 I had been charged for membership initiation. I have attempted to cancel my membership and be reimbursed numerous times via email, voicemail messages, and live conversation with management to no avail. I have been consistently ignored. Instead, the Gym has continued to levy charges: $34.99 on Mar 04th & 13th, and $49.99 on Mar 21st. American Express has so far credited my account on all 4 charges which total $175.95 but enough is enough. Someone at this Gym is running a fleech-swindle operation. They should be stopped, if not arrested for their unethical, mercenary practices. read more

Very nice gym. I never use it due to my laziness, but I think the gym is very nice. I recently had a major surgery and tried to get a temporary break in my charges due to this and can't get anyone on the phone sadly. I don't have any problem paying month for the last 3 yrs and not using the facilities(all my fault) and plan on continuing to pay for the membership once I've recovered from my surgery (and probably still won't use), but it's wrong that no one will answer my email asking for a 4 month break in membership charges while I'm physically disabled! Especially considering my years of being a loyal customer while never actually attending their gym. read more

Worst Gym in Winston Salem, Unprofessional and untrained workers, the GM is never around and will not answer, in April I tried to cancel my account and they have yet to, but I've been contacted by a 3rd party due to collections, but it's okay bc I have screenshots of so many failed attempts to cancel my account, If you want to be ignored and workout in a petri dish of filth this is your place, good luck with the terrible staff. read more

It's a 24-hour gym with excellent equipment for both a beginner and the advanced!! I, honestly, do not know why anyone would join any other gym in Winston-Salem except this one! The memberships are always more than affordable, the facility is always kept top-notch when considering cleanliness and upkeep and the staff is forever friendly and approachable. I often purchase two-year memberships because these particular packages are even more cheaper than the already general, cheap membership packages offered to customers. Even when COVID-19 affected businesses, forcing them to shut-down, this gym froze memberships for free for its customers, which says it all about their concern for their clientele. I not only highly recommend this gym, I grow frustrated when I cannot regular workout there due to work demands. The best part is how it's a gym chain and your membership allows you access into various gym locations! (NC, GA, etc. etc. etc.) read more

Went to this gym over 3 years ago before i moved to FL. I walked in to cancel the membership and now I'm getting calls from collections saying that I owe money. Do not go to the gym and expect them to cancel your membership for you when you ask. I do not recommend this gym if you want your money taken from you even after you cancel it 3 years later. Where to begin. I thought this gym would be a great fit for myself and others that I workout with. After years of being a member of this gym we have been told in so many words that our business isn't wanted. Or in their words "our culture has changed and you don't fit" you can read that however you want to. Several instance we were unable to get access to the gym as they say 24 hours but several times the door has been broken with no emergency contact to get us access to the facility. The gym was not cleaned on a regular basis often trash and dirty machines as well as dirty locker rooms. The staff is very unprofessional and quite rude. Necessary equipment locked up and not available for use like in other fitness gyms. Yoga mats disgusting. Gym is pretty much abandoned now! I joined in 2018 and from then until the manager passed away it was a good, clean gym that was full of people trying to reach goals! Now the bathroom is gross, a good 20% of the equipment is down and has been down for years!! Stay away! I remember don't understand how it's still open they should cut their losses and close. read more

I wanted to like this gym so badly. I used to go to the workout anytime in Greensboro and loved it, but this one is nothing like it. I attempted touring yesterday around 11am and no workers were at the gym. Had to call a number on the front door to confirm. The person on the phone said i should just sign up online and they would make me a card. Thankfully, I did not. I was able to tour the gym the day after, but I had to call the GM so someone could open the front door. I walked around and there was trash on the floor. Looked like they hadn't vacuumed in a while. There were also machines that looked broken. The women's bathroom was gross. It had spiders in the corners of stalls, and the floor was dirty. Wouldn't be the biggest deal but I like to workout before work, so a clean shower/bathroom would have been nice. read more

No issues with the gym environment or equipment. When I went to sign up it seemed like a great family deal for $35 for my girlfriend and I. The gentleman I spoke with said I was signing recognizing gym procedures and for an autopay for the $35 monthly. There was no actual paperwork, just an electronic pad to sign for autopay which I have done with many merchants so I thought nothing of it. Fast forward three months and we decided to drop the membership because the place we moved to has a gym. We call and suddenly we find out we are in a year contract with this gym. When I call and speak to the exact guy that signed me up he flat out lies and says that "I've been doing this a long time, it is your opinion that I didn't explain it". I'm a business major in a sales role, I deal with contracts on a daily basis and can assure you that no reputable business would blatantly hide terms in order to obtain a signature on a piece of paperwork that is meant to lock you into something that you aren't aware of. I would highly caution against signing anything from this gym as it is only meant for them to try to get you to agree to terms that they do not make you aware of. It is unsettling that a company that has increased competition in the area has resorted to underhanded tactics instead of diversifying themselves competitively. I once had an account with Workout Anytime, as did my partner, and I was paying for both memberships via autopay, but I have not even lived in Winston-Salem in five years. I cancelled our memberships multiple times, mostly over the phone, but also email (although they do not respond to emails). A couple of years ago, when I had to get a new debit card due to fraud, I got a phone call from Workout Anytime corporate saying that if I didn't update my card, they would send the bill to collections and I'd have a ding on my credit report. I told them that I had repeatedly cancelled the membership. They said that there was nothing they could do to cancel my membership from the corporate end that that I would have to update my card or my credit history would suffer, so I updated my card. I have continuously tried to cancel and have paid for over 4 years worth of unused gym membership because they wouldn't stop charging my autopay. I eventually got through to someone on the phone sometime last year and they confirmed over the phone that they were cancelling my membership. They never sent written confirmation, although I asked for email confirmation. When they stopped charging me, I thought this nightmare was over and let it go, but I just got a debt collection letter. And now their phone is out of service. I am at my wit's end. I am disputing the debt collection, but there is very little written documentation because they don't send email verification of cancellation. Predatory and dishonest. read more

Worked in the area over the course of 3 months and needed a decent gym to work out in. This place was very accommodating and straightforward in its contract. There were no surprise fees, hassles, phone calls regarding my membership, which I really liked. The manager at the gym is super friendly and helpful. The space itself is solid. There are plenty of treadmills, two stair climbers, and a few elliptical machines. The weightroom area has a fair selection of machines and benches. There's a smith machine and calf machine. My only gripe is there is only 1 squat rack (where undoubtedly somebody is curling or benching or doing anything BUT squatting), so the place could benefit from more racks. The barbells are also a bit worn and could use replacement. The locker room is clean, there are plenty of lockers and one shower per locker room. The place can be pretty busy in the evenings between 5p-7p, but even during these times, I rarely had to wait to use anything (aside from the squat rack). All in all, 5 stars for service, 5 stars for the contract, 5 stars for hours and location, 4 stars for cleanliness, 4 stars for equipment. read more

This gym is up and coming and making tons of changes for the BETTER. Atmosphere. Energy. Cleanliness. Equipment. It is on the incline and won't be stopped. You can't beat friendly faces and positive energy and just a general sense of making a facility the best it can be for all members. Smelly facility . It smells like urine when you walk in. Needs more cleaning the floor is dirty everywhere. The equipment is probably not wiped down as often as it should be. The water fountains are filthy and look like they are never wiped own. Get it together workout 24hr . The owner is keeping up with the facility the whole time I am I there I just see him working out and listening to music. read more

I went here for the first time today to try my journey of getting back in shape and losing some weight. I was recommended to it by a friend and thought Id give it a shot. I walked in and it is a very nice gym with more than enough machines and weights. VERY clean and all modern new equipment. It even smelled nice to a be a gym! The lockerrooms were clean, the showers were clean, the floors were clean. The staff was nice and it was not overly crowded. I do not know if they offer any kinds of classes; but if you just want to go to the gym and hit the weights, treadmills, ellipticals, then this is a good start. read more

Great gym with all of the necessary equipment for a good workout. The place is clean with fairly new modern equipment. Staff is helpful in explaining equipment function and most importantly greet you with a smile of appreciation. Josh is also a great addition as he can answer all of your workout questions. Very nice gym, very clean and organized. Smaller but more than enough equipment to do anything you need to do. Trainers and staff very knowledgeable and more than willing to help. Much much better than any Planet Fitness I've been to and more suitable for experienced athletes...no lunk alarms, no peeps lounging on machines staring at their phones. Well worth the money!
