It just makes me nervous... So running out of weight to clean the machines with a toilet paper in the bathroom seem to have a pretty steadily. It makes me so sad. I'm hanging out with this membership though because it is an awesome job and they have some great equipment. Great people and staff though. The sauna is amazing and I love it! The equipment was mostly well kept and dumbbells were nicely organized. The machines upstairs seemed a bit dated, but they still worked fine. I did notice some rust on the elliptical machines, probably from sweat. The ladies locker room, however, was spotless and well maintained. The owners and employees are unfriendly. Don't say anything, walk right by you even when greeted. The "managers" this fat beef biker looking dude who walks around with a stick up his ass and doesn't know what he doing. Been in the fitness industry 10 years and watched both him and. The owner train people and it's your classic put people on machines and count their reps type of trainer mentality. The staff is pleasant and not trolling the gym but available if you have questions. (note:There is child watch during certain hours but I have not used it.) The facility is in the Old Farmer's Co-op so the location is in the middle of Uptown however there is enough parking or at least I have found that I have been able to find a space 7 days a week for two weeks now. The floors are all hardwood and the equipment is divided into several areas. I like that the cardio equipment isn't right next to the weights so you can suffer in a little privacy instead of being stared at by people while they rest. There are three areas of machines and free weights which include everything you would need to workout either parts of the body of full body. The machines give you ample space so that you don't feel crowded next to person sweating next to you and there are multiple mirror walls to check for form or just check yourself out. Whatever works for you! There is a dry sauna locating off the main room that is directly behind the ladies locker room. I suggest you make sure it is hot while working out if you plan to use it during the day. It heats up quickly but I have had to heat it up on non-peak hours which is really no big deal and doesn't waste electricity. Lastly if you wish to shower here and head out or to work be advised that the ladies' locker room has only one shower. There is an additional shower outside the locker room that you can use and I have never needed a shower and been unable to take one. I am very pleased with City Fitness and thus far it has been one of the most pleasant gyms I have joined.

No extra fees or upgrades just to participate. One of the best features is that childcare is included. The kids room is available from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and children as young as 12 years old are allowed to work out on the gym floor. You can also bring a guest with you every day, which adds a lot of value. The hours of operation are very convenient: Weekdays: 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM Weekends: 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM The customer service was amazing. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to give a full tour. They also offer a 3-day free pass, which is a nice touch. Since this is a new Greensboro location, everything feels fresh and well maintained. The only downside for me was the sauna--I didn't like it in either the women's or men's restroom, and that area could definitely be improved. When this pitch finally ended, I had to go back to work, so no workout. Went the next day around 4:30pm and it was busy but not crowded. Next day around the same time, HOLY CRAP!! So busy there was nowhere to park with a dozen cars circling the lot. I got lucky and found a spot. This place has been crazy busy ever since. They paved for more parking but it's still difficult. I can only imagine how pissed the other businesses are about the parking. I know this is a large branded gym and it's January when everyone vows to get healthy, but I didn't expect it to be like it is. Mostly the under 30 crowd filming workouts using tripods and posting to socials. People everywhere, hard to get on equipment, people wandering around aimlessly. Since starting my membership I have been emailed repeatedly about the expensive personal training to the point it's irritating. Again, I know gyms are busy in January, but this place is chaos. Classes started last week and they book up immediately and they are wall to wall people. I cancelled my membership today and will go elsewhere. Good luck if you join here.

This gym has a wide range of old school bodybuilding style equipment and has pretty much everything you need. If you are looking for powerlifting-style training equipment, this might not be the best option (for deadlifts) but there is a squat rack and 2-3 benches so you can make do. The bathroom was super clean. Kinda surprising for a gym TBH. They also keep a supply of towels there which is convenient. The slightly inconveniencing: If you are looking for a platform, nada. However the gym does have bars and trap bars, so you'll have what you need to do deadlifts. However all of the plates are steel plates, I could only see a pair of 10lb bumper plates. I just don't feel at liberty to drop things in other people's facilities when I don't have a platform, out of respect for the floor. Also, it's kinda crammed. There is a lot of gear in a small space. This wasn't a problem when I was there because there was only one other person training there, but it could get very crowded with 10 or more people in the space. The not so good: The weights are everywhere. People don't put things away and if they do, plates are mixed up everywhere. Bars are left loaded with 275lbs just sitting there like a zombie apocalypse hit and everyone had to get out. The place was not attended when I was there (and might not ever be attended - go to the tanning salon next door if you're not a member and want to pay/get in) so I dare say nobody walks around to pick things up.

I wanted to try out Kraze Fitness because it is locally owned and well I would rather have them get my money every month and cycle it back through the community than some of the bigger guys. They have a free two week trial or you can just head in and try a class for free on the spot no problem at all. I worked with Jasmine who gave me a tour and encouraged me to try out a class. Once I did, I immediately signed up afterwards. The instructor of the class (Reggie) was great at explaining everything to me as to how the class would work and showing me each of the moves for that session. The class was small so everyone got personalized attention. Which is something I am a big fan! Jasmine let me know that the most popular class is kick boxing but even that usually maxes out with 15 people. You don't have to worry about signing up online or reserving a spot because well they always have a spot open for you. To me there is nothing worse than wanting to go to a class but then finding out it is full. The interior isn't the fanciest place but from what I could see they really have every weight machine you could want, as well as plenty of treadmills, and other cardio machines. They do standard classes like yoga, Zumba, and kick boxing. But also offer things like kettle bells, a toned down version of a Crossfit class, and some type of class that is based off of how MMA fighters warm up (will have to give that one a try). AND they also offer legit Crossfit classes as well. For the price you truly cannot beat this place! If you are in the market for a gym or looking to take some interesting fitness classes give this place a try. With the free two week trial (which includes all the classes) you really have nothing to lose!

Who thought that was a good idea? They have space to make it good but they chose to do bjj and weightlifting still when there is no room for both in this tiny spot. So half of the gym is this cramped section and half of it is this giant mat that will only be used when there are classes. No water fountain, you can barely hear music. At the old place they played movies and had music booming. Go anywhere else.
