Lovely small shop tucked away on a busy street. They focus on niche fragrances so it was nice to be able to test harder to find fragrances. Beck was really friendly and knowledgeable throughout the process - they walked me through the entire Zernell Gillie line and even, very thoughtfully, labeled the test strips. I appreciated the low pressure approach (my social anxiety is real LOL) and the calmness of Beck and team was welcomed. I can't wait to come back! I came in to this shop on vacation and I had a WONDERFUL experience. I always buy a new bottle on vacation, something to transport me back to the fantastic time that I had. I told the person working I wanted something different, and she helped me nail down what I was looking for. I ended up with a bottle of Nasomatto Baraonda and I really love it. I went here on a solo trip from Detroit in search of a niche perfume/ cologne for me and my husband. Merv help me and was a blessing to work with. Merv work with me for about an hour and I found two options that worked.The one thing I wish I had done was listen to Merv advice about trying on my option before I opened the packaging (no returns on open package) or get a sample to try out first ,because I ended up not liking the dry down of my pick ( which for me gave more masculine) Ultimately meaning my husband ended up with two colognes. A wise lesson in listen to the professionals if ever there was one! Definitely would come here again on my next visit to Chicago. Beautiful little shop. I went in there to find a new summer scent and was happy to see they had a great selection of niche perfumes including from Litoralle, a maker I've never seen at brick and mortar shops but one I love. I received amazing assistance narrowing my choices down and walked out with a perfume that had a distinct guava note; something I never would have never handpicked myself by just reading the notes but it's layered, complex, and fresh and now in my top 2 favorite summer scents. read more

This is the hot new florist in town. It's a nice shop to use if you live or work in the downtown area. They have a variety of flowers and make everything customized if you tell them what you are looking for in terms of color and style. The overall presentation of the flowers is great. I was surprised and happy to receive them. The not so great thing about this shop while I visited ... the employees do not know anything about Chicago or the downtown area. You aren't just selling flowers, you are selling Chicago! If you don't hire people who know the city or at least the downtown area it will be hard to be a 5 star shop. If you want to give a great customer experience the associates should at least understand what is in a 2 block radius of their location. My advice have them go out and walk around and pay attention to the new shops, vacant store fronts, parking and street numbers. They don't have to walk far. Either that or have them look on google to get familiar with what is within a block or two of the shop. We will definitely buy more flowers here but for the time being I'm not suggesting it to tourist, or people looking for Chicago hospitality. read more

this was a lovely experience at a niche perfumerie! field & florist had a very nice selection of perfumes from brands i had not previously heard about. the two ladies working there were extremely lovely and patient and let me sample like a quarter of the perfume selection LOL. one of them was very helpful and forthcoming about recommendations and she asked me a lot of questions about what i did or didn't like to narrow down the search. i ended up getting two samples, hip hop by zernell gillie and pony boy by jorum studio (both of which have a bold fruity edgy kind of scent) :^) i will 100% stop by again if im ever in the area! read more

Per the suggestion of a coworker, I stopped into F&F on a chilly Tuesday evening and had a wonderful experience. Superb and warm welcomes accompanied a "scent tour" by Bec, if you will. They reminded me that scents help you figure out how you may feel each day, how you may dress, or act. They have a range of very unique fragrances, and after informing Bec some scents I enjoy wearing and am attracted to, I eventually landed on one. It was a great pre-Christmas treat for myself, and I anticipate on returning in the spring or summer. F&F would be a great recc for someone who enjoys exploring fragrance or who may not have much knowledge around it--but with the customer service, you'll be guided in a very helpful direction. read more

I was quite disappointed with these people. I stopped in there to get a sample for a table top piece that would be used at a fundraiser dinner this fall. We would have ended up buying about 50 pieces. They quickly threw together a sample and it looked OK. but then shockingly, shey charged me for the few little flowers in the sample. It was a very poor move on their part because they will not be getting our business for the gala. Talk about Pennywise and pound foolish! These folks need to learn how to do business. read more

Wow. This is the loveliest shop. The flowers are sourced ( in season) from the owners fields in Michigan and are pretty spectacular in the varieties offered. They also have a really cool inventory of bespoke perfumes. I recently came in looking for a gift for a Parisian friend that was looking for a new fragrance after her local parfumerie discontinued her favorite. After letting them know some of the predominant notes that she likes, they set me up with a flight of scents to consider and after paring down to a few that I loved, I was able to buy a few samples decanted to present to my friend. She was overjoyed with the options and looks forward to stopping in to pick up one or more fragrances.... And some flowers too! I highly recommend this lovely shop in the historic monadnock building. Beautiful store. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by amazing smells from both the flowers and the perfume. It's so light and airy and refreshing. They have perfumes that I haven't seen anywhere else in Chicago, and they're very knowledgeable about the notes of each scent. It's really a personalized experience where you can tell them the types of scents that you like, and then they pull a curated selection for you to try, and you get to learn about each one. I loved hearing about all of the scent profiles. They were patient with me, as I went several times and tried a few on my skin to see how they settled over time before making my selection. The perfume selection here is amazing! So many brands that I've wanted to try but couldn't find anywhere. The woman who helped me was kind enough to let me try a large number. She had great suggestions based on the ones I sort of liked and helped me find two I loved! And she had the cutest pink sparkle Tabi shoes to boot.
