Cheap junk.. I spent over 160$ for fabric I can't even use. It falls apart when I try to manipulate or tuck in places. All fibers come off. Yes it is CHEAP prices but u are also getting CHEAP low quality fabric. Do not use this junk to upholster. I bought the fabric and I can't use any of it for my couch. Low life scum bags won't refund any money either. Make sure when u buy it, it's exactly what u really want. It might "look" pretty but it is awful. I will never go back. Hole in the wall graffiti all around. U got Fanilies that come in here running all around. One of the guys working here YELLED at my husband for using the bathroom so....it's NOT ok to use bathroom but it IS ok to met your kids run wild. Would never come read more

As many of us are looking for mask material, I was told this place had elastic in-stock. So I made my way here wanting to look at fabric for quilts while I was at it. The guy at the counter was rude and I asked about elastic. He told me $10 for 10 yards. Way to price goug when its normally 12-25 cents a yard for quarter inch elastic. There is a reason why they have it in stock. I'm not desperate enough to buy it. I wanted to make some extra mask to donate. But at that price, it's more than what I paid for 3 yards of twill. Go to their competitor down the street, nicer and reasonable. read more

Very helpful staff and great selection of fabrics of many different types and colors. Very affordable prices as well. Went shopping for wedding dress fabric. Found one I liked, a lace for the sleeves, and fabric to sew a liner and a practice dress to check fit. The man who helped us wore a mask and gave great advice on what materials would work for my specific needs and how much I would probably need. Also, way cheaper than a chain store. Only $80 for about 13 yards of fabric, a zipper, and a cone of thread. I could easily spend 3x that at Joann's and not get as good of service to boot read more

It seems that this business is a treasure trove. But of what? It has a focused product range that, from my perception, seems to be heavily focused on attire -- and maybe drapery? I've been here once, but tried to shop with them one additional time. Unfortunately, they did not carry either item. First, I looked for a rotary cutter. No. Second, I looked for 28-weight thread. No. Clearly, the selection of sewing notions and accessories are limited to select items -- however, those limited items have a wide selection (i.e. fabric, so much fabric). Ok, I should start with the following: Being in the store was a great experience. They were helpful, attentive and got us taken care of. Until... I got home tucked away my purchases until I had time to think up a project for my new linen. Now I've had some time to mull it over, wiped some other projects from my slate and washed my "linen" I came to a very unhappy realization. I've been duped. What was sold to me as linen is really very much not. I washed and dried my linen and when I pulled it from the dryer I realized something was wrong. It was too much exactly the same as when it went in. Those of us who wash and dry linen that has some sort of sizing will understand this the drape and feel of linen changes. It softens, wrinkles a bit, and usually needs a good ironing to smooth out for patterning and sewing. This required some investigation. I went downstairs to where I'd serged the edges and gathered up some of the cut off bit (I serge before washing it avoids the tangle and unravel of unfinished linen) and got out a dish and lighter. This stuff MELTS. Not some small balling of mixed fiber content, it catches fire and MELTS in a dripping stringer ball of hate and fire. So much for linen and what do I do with all this plastic hate I have now?! It's SO pretty, and SO much not what I need. read more

I love this store! My husband and I have come here for years. We have bought hundreds of yards of lace for our business. We've also purchased cotton prints, muslin, tulle, organza, knits for clothing, bridal satin, fancy embroidered fabrics, burlap and upholstery fabric. I love the selection and wandering through the store is a wonderland. I get so much inspiration and with prices less than the sales at Joanns I can indulge myself and buy whatever I want. The staff is amazing, the owner cuts most of the fabric and he has his brother and another man help customers too. He always recognizes my husband and I even though we only come in a couple times a year. His sister runs the register and she is very nice and efficient. They accept cash and credit cards and if you have a sellers permit be sure to show it so you won't have to pay sales tax on business purchases. If you are looking for something they don't have, the owner can usually special order it for you. This is my favorite fabric store! read more

Horrible store. Staff is rude and not at all helpful. The man who runs the store did not wear shoes in the store when I was there He was rude and obnoxious to the customers. And as to their fabrics...it is not st all the high quality of fabric that you find in the other quilt shops in the area. This is a typical warehouse type store where nothing is organized and has no semblance of order. In other stores fabrics are put together by the many different lines and with the same colors I would never recommend this "store" to anyone. It is no better for fabric than another big box store who only wants to sell quantity while not offering quality. Do yourself a favor and check out other great quilt shops in the area that have fine quality of fabric and staff who want to help you and guide you in the right direction. read more

Good warehouse for any kind of fabric. It is a family owned business. The owner is always there and very knowledgeable about fabric and colors etc. the guy who works the floor is also very knowledgeable and knows where all the fabric is. No air conditioning! It's June and very difficult to hang out very long browsing when you are uncomfortable. I appreciate the mom and pop business aspect, though. There are tons of polyester and blend fabrics. Lots of beautiful formal looking options. I was looking for natural fibers and blends which was a challenge. I feel that fabric is not a big seller anymore, at least what I'm looking for. The stores in south sac are geared for ethnic designs like sarees. I'm looking for soft cottons for caftans and summer dresses. I ended up at Hi Fashion Fabrics for the limited selection of cotton lawn. read more

I had high hopes for this place after reading some reviews and hearing good things through the grapevine. But, I'd say my experience here today was just... "meh." 1. Parking is absolutely terrible. After circling the block three times to no avail, I finally found a measly excuse for a parking spot AFTER getting flipped off and honked at by a really nasty (what seemed to be) resident of the "block" as the man outside called it. 2. The selection of the fabric was just OK. They're lacking in the knit/jersey section, and everything is so mixed up I'm not even sure what's happening. I usually go to Fabrics R Us in San Jose, and although the selection is OVERWHELMING, surprisingly there is an order to the chaos. Knits here. Tulle there. Satin here. Taffeta there. Oh well. 3. The knit fabric I purchased was alright quality. Acceptable for $5 a yard compared to Joanns selling theirs at $7.99-$12.99/yd-- although the quality is much better. Anyway, the fabric was sitting in the middle of a bunch of other fabrics, so he needed to pull it out. I totally get that. But he didn't grab the entire roll and pull it out... He pulled the actual FABRIC and stretched it so far I could see clearly through it. It hurt me to see him do that. So by the time I got my cut of fabric, it was so far distorted I wasn't even sure if I could salvage that part of it. Never in my 10 years of fabric hunting have I ever seen fabric treated with such low care. :( 4. Customer service is good. After he finished assisting the customer in there before me, he quickly attended to me and asked if I needed help. His wife (I think) was also all smiles at the register. 1 star for good customer service and another for cheap prices. I don't think I'll be back though. read more

If you are in the market for fabrics this is one of the very best spots in Sacramento. Dupioni Silk for only $10 a yard, satin for $3... The shop is set up bazaar style with bolts of fabric on tables. The more you buy the better the price! I always check here first then Bahn Phat fabrics second. The staff here are helpful and friendly. I am in this shop at least 3 time a month. The prices cannot be beat. They even carry English and Italian mill wools for suiting. read more

Some of the reviews of this shop are a bit misleading. The shop is fairly bursting with fabric and the workers in the shop are very helpful, showing you what they have and suggesting alternatives if you'd like one. The misleading part of the reviews is that in spite of a store full of fabric it is mostly full of formal fabrics for weddings, sari's, and upholstery fabrics. Great if you're looking for any of those things NOT great if you're looking for clothing fabric. I went in looking for fine cotton twill, linen, or other shirt weight cotton blends they had none of these. Lots of poly blends and not so many 100% natural fibers. Again, it is a great place for fairly cheap dupioni, $10 a yard. Great deal of interfacing and muslin (60" muslin for $2.50). read more

This is a wonderful store. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very low for such good quality fabric. There are so many different types of fabric to choose from that it can be a little overwhelming if you're in a hurry. I suggest taking your time to really look at everything and feel the fabrics. There are different types of fabric for just about any project apparel or otherwise. A few things to keep in mind would be that parking can be difficult if they are very busy. There are a few spaces at the side of the store but that is all, otherwise you'll need to find parking elsewhere. Also the bolts of fabric are somewhat difficult to look through as many of them are stacked together. But if you're patient getting them out shouldn't be a big issue. I've seen reviews that felt the variety of fabric was lacking, but I went in looking for fabric for a circle skirt and wasn't disappointed with the lightweight but sturdy options. read more

I really like this place even though the parking is a nightmare! I had to park around the corner in the half concrete, half dirt sidewalk. It's family owned and the prices aren't steep--unlike the place across the street, ahem. WARNING!!! If you want elastic for mask making, do not shop here! I purchased two precut bags of 1/4 inch elastic. The clerk quoted me prices of $6.00 for 20 yards of white elastic and $7.00 for 20 yards of black elastic. I looked over the samples on the counter and I agreed to buy one each. First, I went to my car and found that she gave me the wrong type of white elastic. I went back in and she gave the correct type. I arrived at home and found that she only gave me change for $14.00 and not the $13.00 she quoted. I was not given a receipt. Lastly, I noticed when I prewashed a few yards of elastic, it wrinkled up but it was still the 14 inches I cut so I determined it hadn't shrunk. So, I went ahead and made 6 masks. As I was ironing the fabric, I looked at the elastic. The casing had melted and the elastic was exposed!!!! I did not iron the elastic but it is attached to the fabric so it is in close proximity to the iron. I was devastated because now the masks are unusable. I am going to have to take them apart and find new elastic from some place else. Do not buy from them, their elastic is cheaply made and of poor quality. read more

Love, love, love this store! It's messy and more like a small warehouse, but wow! great bargains! I bought some great 100% cotton 60" wide fabrics for $2 for plain and $3 for prints. I haven't purchased any of the formal wear or home dec fabrics but I definitely will when I need them. They also have invisible zippers for $1 each, any length and cone thread for $3. I will be going back! I have become a regular customer and still have nothing but good things to say about this place. This place is a hidden gem! Run by a family, they have an unbelievable selection of fabrics at really dirt cheap prices. I needed organza for my wedding ceremony arch and didn't really know how much I needed. With the help from one of the gentleman that was there, he measured and cut 60 yards (yes you read that right) of ivory organza straight from a new bolt. Any other fabric store this would cost me $15 a yard, but this man sold me 1/2 the bolt for $1.50 a yard. C'mon that's amazing! Incredible selection of fabric in many rooms. Perfect for making dresses or upholstery! They even have tons of lace and that sequin fabric that changes color depending on the direction you move it. I wish I lived closer, I'd be here all the time. -1 star for just being a hoard of fabric stacked to the ceiling and it being hard to find anything and the yelling across the store in an Indian language. read more
