The first problem is that clearly there was no market research done for the area. The skin colour and type that culturally dominates the city has very little to offer in terms of tone compliant foundations and powders. I know they have one of the largest libraries of skin match Make up for Asians.....where were these? Not a huge deal but still worthy to bite as an example. I love bold punk rock colours. I am a niche, however, a little more colour in their general pallet would help them stand out more. Thankfully Mac is across the street for all my bold colour needs. Also thrilled to find the overnight hydrating masks that is blowing up my Instagram. The brand is called Biodance and I can't wait to try this! I couldn't find the sunscreen I was looking for but I saw many familiar items that were very popular in Japan. They had lipgloss, eyelash curlers, hand cream and other skincare products. The price was pretty decent. I did notice they stamped my receipt, final sale and no refund or exchange. Fun place to browse and shop. I am sure I will be back soon.

The optical department of London Drugs on Broadway near Cambie is great. The friendly service from…read morethe minute you walk in. The staff are very helpful, starting your vision experience while you wait to see one of the optometrists. The optometrist that I had was very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The equipment they use is state of the art. The vision tests took about 30 minutes and as we went along with it, everything was explained in terms that I could understand. After the test I looked at frames as I wanted to purchase everything while at the store. The frames are not inexpensive, they have name brands, but they do have a London Drugs brand and the cost of those fit right into my budget. I am was very impressed with all that I came in contact with. It was a breath of fresh air to spend time with employees that seemed to enjoy what they do for a living. I can highly recommend the optical department at this London Drugs hands down.

We initially spoke to a woman at the register who continued to insinuate that we were lying about washing the garment by hand, despite telling her that we had not put this shirt in the washing machine multiple times. She also said that because it's past 30 days, there was "nothing they could do." She was condescending and completely unhelpful, even after explaining my husband has multiple cashmere pieces from Banana Republic that he has had much longer than this shirt without issue. She acknowledged she has never seen a hole like this before, but yet continued to deny any culpability with the craftsmanship of this piece. We then asked to speak to the manager, at which point a man came to speak with us and was even more rude and dismissive. Again continuing to say that the hole was due to it being put through the washing machine. When I asked him if he was then calling us liars, he would not acknowledge this. My husband has been a long time supporter of Banana Republic, but will be taking his business elsewhere from now on. Would have thought a company like BR would stand behind the quality of its products, but was sorely mistaken. Absolutely appalled with both employees' handling of this situation, particularly the manager.
