Do not support this gym. They make it impossible to cancel. I have been a member for about a year at the $40/month tier, and have been fighting with them for about 2 months to cancel my membership. I called, then they said I must go in person. I went, they said the manager was not there and to come back on a Monday between 7am and noon. I did, and yet the manager was not there. I was then told to come back on easter Sunday. I calmly explained that I had already been in twice, and asked if I could leave my information so the manager could get back to me when they were in. They said no, I either had to come back in or send a letter. So I wasted gas there and back, then paid to have a letter sent, where I asked them to email me upon cancellation. While I was waiting for them to receive the letter, I got charged again for a bi-weekly payment, and for my yearly renewal fee. Had they cancelled when I asked the first 3 times, this could have been avoided. Then, I finally got an email saying they had received my letter and cancelled my membership. Surprise! It was a lie. I got charged again 2 weeks later. I emailed the manager, Breanna, and she ignored my first 2 emails. I got a response after I kindly asked her to stop ignoring me, but that was 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing regarding the status of my refund. Aside from my wasted gas, World Gym has taken $114 from me, while also telling me my membership is cancelled. Had I seen these reviews prior to signing up, I never would have joined in the first place. The entire time I have been kind and civil, yet they continue to ignore and take my money. The staff is very cliquey, equipment is often broken, and the women's room doesn't even have overhead fans like the rest of the main gym. Absurdly expensive for a sub-par experience. This gym is worthy of no star and i sincere feel sorry for innocent public who walk into this establishment seeking to live a healthy life. After after almost 2years of harrowing experience at the hands of the staff and management of this gym, i have decided to come out and warn unsuspecting gym goers to seek elsewhere for healthy living because World Gym is not that place. First of all, then Gym is dirty, cramped and stinks. But that is not all. They have a system of making sure that you can never cancel your gym membership with them even if you move city, country or die. These guys are very heartless in their pursuit of money. I joined the Gym in October 2023 and after a few weeks of regular attendance, i got too busy with work and could no longer attend the gym. But i continued to pay biweekly and did not mind that, as i was hoping to get back to my routine someday, as long as i still leaved in the city of Niagara Falls. Fast forward to August 2024, i moved from Niagara Falls to Burlington. It is only sensible that i cancel the member at a gym that i will no longer be able to attend. So one fine Saturday afternoon, i went to the gym to declared that i had moved home with proof of this move. A young lady at the front desk told me that only the manager can authorize my cancellation and he does not work on weekends or evenings. Apparently, the manager only works 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, so for a busy family physician like myself, i must close my clinic on a weekday in order to meet the mighty manager of World gym and beg for their permission to cancel my gym membership. Of course i could not do this as i work 6days a week in a different city and live in an even farther city. After this experience, i continued to pay the gym membership from that August up until November of 2024. At this time, my bank started to charge me $45dollars every month for no sufficient funds in the account. I called the gym again and again, and they told me the same thing each time i.e. i must come during working hours or they wont cancel my membership and wont stop taking money from my account. Eventually, i had to close this bank account because the NSF fee was beginning to pinch. Then they started sending me threatening emails, threatening me with all sorts of retribution, threatening fire and brimstone and recently, threatening to report me to a collector. Since the beginning of 2025, my wife has called the gym so many times, the had even sent them the lease agreement for her new home to show that we no longer live in Niagara falls. Now they have sent me a list of outstanding fee that i must pay or else they pass me on to a collector. And at this point, i will be involving a lawyer for these guys and making everyone know that cares to listen, that World gym is not a gym, it is a scam, a trap and racket for luring the unsuspecting public into a perpetual membership payment that never ends. True, it is impossible to cancel, management is never there when needed and when if you do get charged a cancellation fee they will add on another 2 weeks.. bad business after 1yr of dedication. Do better! read more

From America, not my first time at this gym, or visit. It's cool that a day pass is good for 24 hours, save your receipt. So $10 a day, but if u go within 24 hours really get 2 workouts at $5 each. Great gym for legs, love the hacksquat machine & calve machine feels really good However there's only one full squatting rack & the height adjustment sucks, same with the two racks. There's big differences for each level down/up. Bar felt little thin & bent/bounced a little more then bars im use to at 465lbs Dumbbells only go up to 120 Atmosphere isn't terrible, everybody minds their own, not really any fitness sluts/players for socialization there. No big guys there either, a lot of skinner ppl just healthy. Not so much a bodybuilding crowd, no powerlifters. Good gym for arms Back seems like it be good there too Sauna is really nice in the winter. Easy way to warm up. Staff spotted me on squat did a great job. pretty much an impossible process to get them to stop charging your credit card after you tell them to cancel your membership. I have tried for 3 months now and again today I noticed that there was another charge. When asked to speak to a manager I was told that she was not in at the moment and she didn't have a voice mail to leave a message. Then I was told that I had to send a registered letter to cancel my account. Totally ridiculous, totally unprofessional. Management is bad/lacking here. Wont be returning. Place is filthy and they lie about your contract.

This gym has excellent equipment but unfortunately either the owner or the management still have some learning to do about taking care of the gym. One of the treadmills was so loud because it needed adjustment it sounded like a siren was going off. Even a simple thing like a rack to put the bars and other accessories used on the universal machines doesn't exist. You can tell that the vast majority of the members don't appreciate the continuous head-banging disco music as they have ear pieces in. After 40 years of training and in gyms all over the world I can't remember the last time I saw a bench press and incline press backed up against each other so that you couldn't get in to spot someone if you needed to. Half the members just walk away leaving their weights on the bars because you don't see anyone from the front desk having any interest in following up on their posted rules. read more

I like this place a lot. It's a good sized world gym with plenty of clean, good, brand new equipment. There's plenty of equipment for everybody as the gym doesn't ever get overly crowded, especially in the day time, so you don't have to wait around to use equipment and delay your workouts. The staff is super awesome and helpful and friendly. They have a good basketball court, saunas, clean change rooms, a women's only section, a private coaching section, personal trainers, a section for kids, tanning beds, massage chairs, you name it! read more

This place is not clean. Obviously no one cares about this business. You get what you pay for, dirty change rooms, dirty equipment.

Good clean gym with lots of cardio, weight machines and free weights. Basket ball court, women's section and personal training areas are available but I don't use. Free hydro massage, tanning and daycare...all good. Also like the half price protein shakes. Nice staff helps too! read more
