I had to go here to find the sugar free Raspberry Syrup from Torani. I was almost out of that flavor and the others I took with me when I had to move from Saline last December. Why would I need it you may ask? Snow cones. EBS LOVED snow cones. He LOVED them enough to have an industrial 100 lbs an hour ice shaver on the condo's kitchen counter. He had downsized from the 300 lbs an hour one he had before he divorced and moved out of the family house - that one was in the garage and left for estate sale. The 100 lbs one is now on my kitchen counter. Now, I love snow cones, but he really did. I just thought it was ONE of our strange ways we were alike UNTIL I saw Crazy Rich Asians and saw the scene at the food court. I understood a little more than. I have never been to this store before, but as I walked around, I knew where EBS got some of favorite food. Lots of interesting things to blow money ON. I love stopping into World Market for food and drink in particular. As the name suggests, they offer a lot of unique options from around the world. It's always my first go-to if we've gotten something delicious that we loved from outside of the country to see if we can get it here, or if I want something neat for a gift for a foodie. In addition to the fun food choices, there are also sections of furniture, homegoods, some clothing and jewelry, and fun seasonal items. There is a very nice selection of creative ornaments in December. The rewards program and email list offer some good opportunities for savings with rewards cash and coupons. There is plentiful parking available in the shopping center lot. read more

This is a great World Market, with plenty of solid options for those seeking quality food items, decorations, furniture, or gifts for the young and old. Some prices may surprise you (in a negative way) considering the place's reputation for good deals, though if you get lucky you will still save some money here. Came here a few times with my girlfriend and her sister seeking ingredients for memorable meals, and we left successful on both occasions. They have an excellent selection of pastas, sauces, wines, side dishes, drinks, desserts, and everything else a person could want to find. On top of that, their discount desserts are worth checking out, with rare offerings in every aisle at good prices. Want to save even more? Check the expiration date: if it goes bad within the next few month or two, the discount at check out will be even BETTER. I found this out firsthand when what I thought would be a $25 purchase ended up being around $13 once the close-to-expiration discounts were applied. Talk about a pleasant surprise! You will find many other well-stocked sections here, including an affordable rack with every conceivable airplane-sized bottle of liquor/liqueur, which is a great way to try out otherwise expensive options like Chambord or Cointreau. Looking for decorations? Plenty of those around too, some of which are unique enough to make the search worthwhile. I probably wouldn't get my furniture from here, though you might find something that strikes you if you're in the market for that sort of thing. All things considered, World Market ranks up there with other excellent discount upscale stores like TJ Maxx, only with more unique options. The prices sometimes aren't what the average person would consider "discounted", though hunting down the store's best deals is part of the fun (a challenge made more complex by the sometimes disheveled nature of the shelves!) World Market is probably one of my favorite stores since it has a bunch of random international food items. Their food section is like an international convenience store from countries around the world. They also have really nice household items that are reasonably priced. During any holiday they have really cool items to purchase too. Around Christmas they have a large variety of advent calendars that can be candy, tea, chocolate, hot sauces, popcorn, alcohol and other types of food. They sell out quickly though. As of December 2021 they do require masks when inside the store and have complimentary masks in the front if you need one. read more

What's not to love about World Market? My sister and I regularly swing by to browse around, especially during their sales and special promotions. Lately there's been a scavenger hunt and if you find the hidden item you're entered into a drawing for a free vacation. How fun is that! When you first walk in you'll notice signage that explains what's on sale that day. They also have a coffee cart near the front door. I think it's pretty cool that they offer free coffee. It's always nice to have something to sip on while your looking around the store. I usually start in the front right hand corner of the store and I work my way around. I really enjoy their jewelry section. It's reasonably priced and I almost always find something I MUST have! I also love the outdoor items they have. Everything from cute pots, to patio furniture, outdoor pillows and rugs, and even grill essentials. You can even grab "wordly" munchies like unique chips, coffee, fancy water, and candy. Snacks on snacks! I'm also obsessed with their indoor rugs and pillows. Everything in here is so beautiful and fun! The only downfall is the price. Certain items can definitely be costly. I think my most recently purchase here was a watercolor shower curtain. It's gorgeous and I love it. I found some cool things at World Market. It's got some upscale food and furniture but most are priced reasonably. There's lots of alcohol which makes it a must stop. It also has other good stuff for gift ideas. There's other of these stores but this was the best one around. I will buy most of my stuff at cheaper stores, but this place has some good values. This World Market is pretty fun to walk through. It has, like the name says, products from around the world. It's not cheaply made shit either. They have an excellent beer and wine selection. It's not overly expensive for most of them. They also have a pretty nice selection of furniture, which has discounts on some of it. I won't always buy something. It's been awhile, but I always know I can depend on World Market for interesting sweets and other comestibles, and a decent beer selection. I was not disappointed- all sorts of interesting stuff here, some old favorites but most new to me. Oh, yeah, there is other stuff here too- kitchen stuff, baskets, even furniture. I recently took the advice of fellow Yelper Heather A. and visited the World Market. I can't believe how many times I've been past this place without noticing it. I thought it would be a grocery store of sorts. It was so much more than I was expecting. I'm one of those people who walks into a store for the first time and sticks to the perimeter until I get my bearings. I'm not just going to run out into the field. So, this is what the trip was like for me. I walked in, immediately turned right, and found myself in the home décor area. There were reproductions, candles and incense, lamps, end tables, and knick knacks galore. Everything smelled good and looked nice. It was all gorgeous, and marked at great prices. I scoped out some paper lanterns for just $6. The next part of my World Market tour landed me in the food section, to be more specific, I was in the candy and cookie section. It took a lot of willpower, but I managed through without picking up anything. Well, I might have picked a few things up, but I put them back down after walking a few aisles and talking myself out of it. There were all kinds of candies and cookies and gummies and sauces. Once again, all outrageously cheap. Then came spices and dried and canned foods. I picked up some pre-made gnocchi on sale for about $3.50. I've never made my own or even cooked my own pre-made gnocchi, so this should be interesting. The pet section was close by. It was small, but there were some cute things including chemical free pet bath products. Christmas candies and goodies were next door to pet supplies. I picked up one of those calendars where you count down the days until Christmas and are rewarded with a piece of chocolate for each day that passes. I loved these things when I was little, so I'm planning on passing the love on to my little cousin. Now that I think about it, we should use those chocolate calendars year round. Maybe we'd reach world peace if we did. Now for the kicker. The beer and wine section (also bordered by the coffee and tea section). I had heard fables of that you could pick your own six pack of beer here. Oh, those are not fables, my friend; those are true accounts. I got a mix of fruit beers, organics, and beer from other ports. I've made it 2/3 of the way through the pack and have had mostly bad experiences, but at least I know. The six pack prices vary, but most of the bottles are priced at about $1.89. Around the bend from the beer and wine were plates and glasses. I didn't spend too much time there since my kitchen is already massively overstocked. I moved on to the Halloween goods which had been marked down since we were so close to the holiday. Some very cute finds there including fake Coke bottle eyeglasses. Right before I left I spotted the jewelry. I looked briefly but knew I had better run before I spent too much. The only bad thing about the World Market was that every time I turned a corner someone was asking me if I wanted a basket. Maybe I just looked like I was really laboring with my chocolate calendar; I'm not sure. But I like to keep to myself and not be bothered to much by store clerks while I shop. No biggie though. As its name suggests, World Market markets the world to, well...Columbus. I came here to look for cushions and room separators for my always-in-progress lounge. There is one quick and dirty way to find out whether you will enjoy World Market before going, and that is to ask yourself this question: Did you enjoy "Eat, Pray, Love" (movie/book)? Yes? Did you think wow, those ethnic things are always so colorful...and SO CUTE! Did you think...my mundane life and terrible relationship problems could be solved if I just donned the trappings of someone else's life for a bit, when I get that vacation? Yes? Definitely, World Market FTW! No? Did you think that whoa, this girl needs to do more than consume other people and their lifestyles in little tiny handle-able packets like her morning jasmine tea? Does she ever stop talking about herself? Why doesn't she take a REAL risk? Yes? Don't go to World Market; go to Global Mall.* *I answer no, a hundred times no, so caveat emptor: Attached to the room dividers, of which they had only 3 kinds, were these price labels with huge block letters of made in INDIA, or made in MALAYSIA, or made in THAILAND. Seriously, the font size of the country of origin was eight times larger than the rest of the font size on the rest of the tag. Is some sitar music supposed to go off in my head when I see that label, WM Marketing department? Is your store my suburban replacement for getting out of my comfort zone? "Explorer" program? Which verified my suspicion that World Market is really a Big Lots for people whose taste just isn't satisfied by, say, a normal furniture store. Somehow, seeing the name of a country in BOLDED, LARGE BLOCK LETTERS really gets some people to couple-bond over the exoticness of a colorful trinket. I wonder about the quality of some of the $300 pieces of furniture in here. Some of it looks quite rickety. I think that's supposed to mean it's "authentic." Nevertheless, some items seem sturdy as can be and priced right. Their curtain rods, drapes and things like that don't appear to be any higher quality than anywhere else where they would cost a fraction as much. But the store is a lot of fun to walk around. That is to say, there is some neat stuff to be found. They have a good wine and beer selection, better than you might think, decent coffee and teas, and rare (for us) foods. This location carries bodum french presses, unlike the World Market I went to out of town a few months back. Sometimes they'll have furniture that's "less-than-perfect" on sale for a good discount, and like I said, not all of it looks like crap. They also do the occasional wine and/or beer tasting. I thoroughly enjoy visiting here, even if I rarely walk out with anything. read more

I love World Market for the good deals in the grocery department and all the cool kitchen stuff. There are some great values to be had if you need pantry items. The 1l. extra virgin olive oil for $6.99 is a favorite of mine. They have a healthy selection of spices and international oddities. You could put together a killer gift basket with the stuff they offer. I find cool things in the kitchen section. Demitasse cups for espresso, little ramekins for single-serving sizes of everything, cool glassware for the bar. It's also a great place to visit for seasonal items. Christina C inspired me to review this place. All I can say is....there are no words to describe my love for World Market. Yes, it's true - you get what you pay for. And stuff aint expensive there. So you can deduce that some things aren't top notch quality. But who cares? It's fabulous!! My coffee table was purchased at this World Market and I get compliments on it all the time. It's great quality and looks stylist. It was only $200. My curtains (gorgeous), shower curtain (way cute), wine glasses (essential), cloth napkins (also essential) and some dishes are from here too. The prices are spot on and I've never had a problem with anything. What I love so much is that the store is eclectic. Home goods? Check. Accessories? Check. Food? Beer/Wine? Check! Always have fun at World Markets because it's fun to explore and often I can find certain foods/snackies that are hard to find in regular stores - like Doctor Who's Jammie Dodgers :) It's your typical WM store with all of the usual suspects (wines, plates, glasses, nik naks, furniture, etc.); they're consistent if nothing else. It's no Jungle Jim's but it's a decent little import market they got going here! Personally, I'd love to see the half of the store devoted to furniture and housewares removed and replaced with even more international groceries, but oh well. This is by no means a full-service market. You aren't going to come here for milk. But what it does have is an eclectic selection of foreign snacks, foodstuffs, and condiments, as well as a decent wine and beer selection that touches various parts of the country as well as countries abroad. What an awesome store for nicknacks! We were on the hunt for a specific beer that my brother wanted to me to find and bring back home. I managed to end up here, and I found the Jackie O's beer that I was looking for! However, I was very impressed by the random gourmet selection of beers and food, that I picked up a few extra things for myself. Situation: I went it for a quick in-and-out pick-up for some vegemite (well, Marmite now that the US has banned the original- don't get me started) and before I knew it, I had somehow gained access to a shopping cart full of things I never knew existed let alone I never knew I needed. I could spend so much time and money in this place. There is so much to look at, and I always see things I just HAVE to have (but not really...). One of my favorite things is their wine selection. I've been here like 4 times in the last week. This place is so great. I could buy everything in this store. They have everything from wine to coffee to bath soap. This past week I bought a set of nesting tables and a couple small lamps. Their prices aren't bad for furniture. I've discovered that I'm a tight wad when it comes to furniture but relative to other furniture stores, it's pretty inexpensive. You just have to wait for the deals. My nesting tables were on sale and I only paid about $50 after coupons. They even loaded my car for me! Everything here is unique and fun. I love their vibe. I went here earlier today because my boss needed something to create traction underneath her chair. Our office has seriously sloped floors and she kept running into me. My first stop was staples and I guess my easy button wasn't working because I couldn't find anything to do the trick. On a long shot I tried this place. I had only been there once before and remembered it being a bit like Pier 1 only cheaper yet somehow with better quality products and an entire grocery store in the back. I was ecstatic to find a cool little rug with enough weaving to stop a semi for only $12. I also noticed great sales on furniture and other housewares. This world market has a very good variety of different international products including food, beer/wine, furniture, kitchenware, and more. I really enjoy looking through the food section and being able to buy foreign spices, sauces, and treats. They also have a ton of items that you can't find in many places (German spaetzle noodles, vegimite, English digestive cookies, a lot of Torani syrups etc.) The only downside to this being a lot of their products are pretty expensive for the quantity you get. They seem to have a decent selection of alcohol but I don't drink so can't truly give my opinion. Same with the furniture- seems like a decent selection but I haven't been in to buy any. I will say they have some decent looking kitchen cookware for a fairly reasonable price. Overall it's definitely worth a stop if you haven't been to a World Market before and are interested in any international foods/drinks/other items. read more

I immediately bypass the furniture and only come here for the world food products. That said, they have a great selection compared to the international aisle of your grocery store. They're the only place where I've found a decent selection of kinder chocolates (try a kinder bueno, seriously!), and they have a decent selection of craft beer and soda as well. If you're well travelled and saavy on your international brands, then this is a good place to go and reconnect with your favorites. read more

I was on vacation in Columbus and I was so excited when we randomly drove by world market. They have no world market stores in my state so we had to stop by. I guess I'm used to the world markets in New York City that are combined with bed bath and beyond because I was not very impressed. It was a decent sized store but not huge by any means. The main reason I like world market is for their wide selection of torani syrups and candy from other countries. They did have the syrups but not the flavor I was looking for. The candy selection was not big either. Worst of all, the store had zero samples out. I ended up just buying one torani syrup and a small bottle of Godiva liqueur. read more

World Market has always been a favorite shopping stop of mine. I am glad that they still have a store (or two in Columbus (as Cinci no longer does). A year ago I bought an solid, well-made daybed in black; fairly recently started offering the color in an even better grey color. I went to the store and asked if they might happen to sell the paint to upgrade the frame color. The store manager Kate went out of her way in helping me with my previously made purchase; both the day that I stopped in to inquire and with follow-thru, to pickup. I have experienced a lot of forms of customer service in my time and what she did for me the day I stopped from the time of a new pickup went above and beyond my expectation of general management or customer service. The other employees at this store have gone out of their way in customer satisfaction before, but it was unique to me to walk away from a purchase praising/even fist pumping an experience. What I have experienced with this store location is that the staff know their stuff, and enjoy making their customers happy. Very impressed! read more

I really enjoy the products for sale here. I gave it 2 stars because even though I love the selection, the staff was rude. No one smiled. As we were shopping for a table, a staff member told us not to touch the it. (??) At checkout, our cashier put all my glasswares in one plastic bag without wrapping them. When I asked for wrapping, she blew her breath as if it was a huge inconvenience. We left disappointed with our personal experience. read more
