I'd seen this a million times, but hey, I'm not into home decor, so I passed on by. But wow. I popped in, expecting to look around and leave. But they have a ton of cool stuff. There's a furniture sale this week, but we don't really need any. Still, some nice pieces. And lots of interesting home decorating ideas. There's a definite love for dogs and Ohio, and smartass humor, all of which I appreciated. The items are arranged beautifully, and the staff are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Ended up with a few small things. Prices can be high for the bigger stuff, but there are plenty of things at very reasonable prices too. I'll be back. I'm surprised I didn't spend more there. With Christmas coming up, and other occasions, I can find lots of gifts here, and some things for our house.

Kind of comes across as a hipster Restoration Hardware... Some nice pieces, but they are mixed in with obvious Asian repro pieces, so you have to kind of hunt and educate yourself to make sure you get a good value. As a result, some of the prices were surprisingly low for how they are intended to be viewed and other pieces seem a bit overpriced. The shop draws you in as you drive by on the street. They have a good assortment and they really know how to stage the items to tell stories and encourages you to wander through the entire store. I'd go here every once in a while, mainly for ideas and in the hopes of finding that one authentic, vintage piece that is reasonably priced.

I was in Clintoville for lunch today which gave me a chance to stop in here and look around. They've only been open since last October. It's more home furnishings than I imagined but it was nice to browse around nonetheless. They had all manner on stuff, some old some new. I mentioned to the young guy minding the register that this reminded me of Restoration Hardware that used to exist at Easton but he had never heard of it. I guess I'm sowing my age. ;) Anyway it's a pretty nice store.

Pretty much sums up the attitude of the store employees...

There are some amazing vendors that have quality vintage pieces at very affordable prices. You can tell that they take time and care with what they stock and how they set up their displays. I find that my favorite booths get restocked often with an array of new treasures. I've purchased beautiful original art, handmade ceramic pottery, a gorgeous Persian rug and many more one of a kind pieces. This is my go to place whenever I'm looking for unique home decor or a special gift. The off putting.. the staff is usually so helpful and kind but there is one employee (Kerry) that can be outright nasty to customers. I witnessed her make disparaging remarks about another customer. She did this in earshot of my mother and I and then acted like the other customer had personally offended her or done something wrong when they asked for a discount on a damaged item from her booth. She then proceeded to speak to my mother about why her nasty remark was justified. It was gross and I hope that the owner of the store reads this review and is able to address Kerry's nasty attitude. The other complaint is when you see an item with a thrift store price tag right next to the vendors highly inflated price tag. So tacky! I do highly recommend this store but I also hope they can address these issues.

In one of the pics I saw a little beehive Christmas ornament so thought I would go check it out (my mom is bee anything crazy). I wasn't sure where the GPS was taking me but once I saw the beatiful mural on the side, I knew where I was heading. Really friendly staff and some really cute gifts here. I was promptly greeted when I came in and was offered some coffee or water. I had to pass as it was a quick stop but I really liked the vide here. The shop had a bit of everything including clothing, candles, jewelry, and all sorts of gifts including some gorgeous drinking glasses. Definitely worth browsing just to check it all out. Overall, it looked like the general price point is on the higher end but nothing too outrageous for a boutique shop. I did find the ornament I saw in the picture but I know my mom already has the same one, or one that could pass off as its twin anyway. So many cute gifts and would totally visit again even though I didn't find something this trip. I really had to resist buying something just to buy it (holidays and all) but they have so much cute stuff.

The building is unassuming from the outside, but the inside is filled with anything from ancient church doors to vintage Kotex dispensers. The whole front room is filled with hundreds (even thousands?) of doorknobs, screws, locks, hinges, etc. Bigger furniture pieces are in the maze-like warehouse that lies in the middle of the structure, and there's a salvage yard out back. We saw some truly beautiful pieces and also some unique, more crafty and modern pieces. A word of warning: this is NOT a thrift shop. Though their inventory is very old, it is in good condition and is relatively rare I'd assume, so their pricing is moderate/expensive. I did, however, purchase some glass slides for what I thought was a reasonable price. This is an awesome find in a bustling city like Columbus and I'm so glad it exists. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to people to visit, especially if they're looking for specific pieces for a project or to decorate their home.

Maybe the employees were having a bad day, maybe I was. There are some days I don't want to talk or smile either. The last time I was here, Cora herself was at the register and a joy to talk to. I felt very comfortable taking my time browsing the whole store, and took a few trinkets home with me. Their wares are random and constantly changing, but that day was a heart-shaped box with hand-glued buttons for me and an antique pink glass ashtray as a gift. (Fantastic gift store.) For me personally, I do consider this a pricier store - but it is so lovingly and uniquely curated, I can understand that choice. Now that I've given it a couple more tries, I can say it is worth just walking around anyway. If you're into freaky macabre stuff. Even the music is period so as I was shopping I felt a little like I was in a tv show or movie- it was surreal. (Esp because I was born in the 80s ;)) However, for me I didn't find anything to take home, and I think it was because the prices were a little beyond what I felt comfortable with. For example- there was a jadeite Bowl in the front display case, and it was priced at double what I paid for the exact same one the day before at the Country Living fair. There were also two other smaller bowls marked jadeite but I don't think they were... and in the back was a statue marked $16 and I have a similar one I rescued for half that in Maryland. In fairness I'm not from Ohio so I don't know what the market will bear and I don't love all mid century modern I tend to like some of it... But the store is immaculate, and all the items are immaculate- and that doesn't come cheap. For example- I saw a pristine teal blue sofa set- two chairs, a large sofa and a loveseat in better condition than some new couches I've seen in show rooms. And a hanging silk Hollywood regency lamp that was delightful. And some of those little plastic serving dishes that are so hard to come by... I think I would come here if I was looking for something in particular from the 60s or 70s. Or if I was shopping with a friend looking for high quality authentic mid century modern furniture.
