Crate & Barrel definitely leans toward the premium end of furniture. It felt like almost everything I looked at was around $2,000, so be prepared for sticker shock. That said, they have some genuinely unique pieces. I especially liked the Drew Small Swivel Chairs and a stylish patterned desk chair that had a great mid-century vibe. The staff was excellent--friendly, knowledgeable, and they even helped me get a 15% new mover discount, which was a nice surprise. My only disappointment was that they don't offer assembly for a desk chair purchased by itself. At these prices, assembly should be included. read more

I want to give a huge shoutout to Emma Baumann, who greeted me right away as I walked to the help counter. She was smart, welcoming and knowledgeable - she led me directly to the sofa I came in to see, and explained about different fabric options, including custom. She was able to very quickly look up which fabrics could or could not go on the sectional I am interested in. When one of the colors wasn't available, she found an almost identical shade of olive green and gave me the swatch to take home, in addition to 3 others I had asked for. Emma was able to tell me about the financing options available to me, which is an important consideration for this purchase. Another store associate, Meredith Luttrell, checked in with me as I was analyzing the dimensions chart for the Aris sofa, which was perfect timing, because I needed to know if the longer side could be ordered to be on the left rather than the right - because otherwise, it won't fit in my space. (It can.) She was friendly and knew all about the different options available. The store was impeccably clean, and staged beautifully. Both associates let me wander and peruse at my own pace; there was zero pushiness or pressure to buy right away. I always take time to "let things marinate" when I make a large purchase, and I appreciated that they gave me the option to take home swatches and "see how they look in your home." I adore Crate & Barrel, always have. I love the aesthetics of their collections, perfectly aligned with my own taste. Simple, elegant, well-crafted home design. And lovely barware. I collected barware for years, since I love to entertain. I was gifted many fun things from Crate & Barrel over the years. They sell things that last. This is a large store, with everything you could possibly want, from furniture and home decor to pots, pans, small appliances, china, glassware, vases, flatware, etc. I couldn't find what I was looking for on this particular trip, so I asked a sales associate, and she very kindly walked me to the location. It was BKF cookware cleanser, and C&B is one of the few places to carry it. It's for stainless steel cookware. This is different from the "regular" BarKeepers Friend, and only comes in a small silver can. Prices are generally quite fair for the quality of the items. I have never been disappointed with any purchase or present from this store. read more

I sat on hold the first time for 7 minutes, called back selecting a different extension, it rang non-stop for 6 more minutes. I walked through the whole store, and was looked over by the staff. One walked right by me, looked-(and this isn't speculation, she did a once over)- at my outfit, decided I didn't look like I had the $$ and asked proceeded to not only ask the person behind me If they needed help, but also went around and asked two others if they were okay and did not bother to even GREET me. I spent 30-45 mins in the store, and was not spoken to ONCE in a sea of many employees. It did leave me wondering if they are commission based. Awful experience all around. read more

What a dangerous place for me when I have some extra money to spend. I knew exactly what I went in for , stemless wine glasses for drinks. Very good price $2.95 ea. But then of course buying drinking glasses made me think of whiskey so I got ice sphere molds and then of course the silver jigger jumped in my basket and I couldn't stop it. Then I had a come to Jesus moment and realized that if I didn't stop right there , I'd be sad because I'd be broke. I don't like to be sad , or broke. I ordered the 60" glass top parson's table with stainless steel legs on sale off the C&B website. Days after I ordered, I get an email from C&B informing me that they don't have the table, so they are refunding my order. I was PLANNING on receiving this table - why? Because it was AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE on their website. Get your ecommerce website management together. If an item is NOT AVAILABLE, then remove it from your website so it can no longer be purchased. Common. Sense. I've purchased many items from C&B over the years, and it's a shame to watch their continual quality degradation in both products and customer service. I will no longer buy products from C&B. They seem to be on a slow spiral down a toilet of despair. Have you seen their shop in Cherry Creek North lately? Crate and barrel has been our go-to location in the past. We bought our couch from there and had a wonderful customer service experience, which made us come back. This time for table purchases, Melissa, sales representative was initially helpful but then when I had asked her if we can see a similar table color in natural light aince it doesnt really match witj our existing furniture, she stated you can take it yourself and stated she hasn't been able to understand our requirements and crate & barrel doesnt have more stuff for our needs. One of the worst customer I have experienced, especially for furniture shopping, when their end goal should be to help customer meet their needs, and instead, she left us with a bad taste of the store for us. read more

we bought a kettle from them the sales person told us you can make tea in this kettle and if you don't like it you can return the kettle in 30 days we went to return this kettle and was given a hard time and we were told that since we used it they will not take it back and we told them if you don't used it how will you know that is not doing it's job very bad experience will not go back there again. read more

If you're looking for something to take home with you on the same day, this probably isn't the place that you should bet on finding it. We went here during holiday shopping season. The store seemed miserably understaffed, even with the expectation that there were more people there than usual. 30+ minutes in the store, and we never saw a single person on the floor helping anyone. I found about six empty bins where things should've been that we had come to buy for gifts for Christmas. Shame on us for last minute shopping, but shame on them for not stocking their store with people or products during holiday shopping season. The products the did have in stock seemed to be of high quality as do the products that were delivered at a later date. Their saving grace is the staff that were there. The cashier that we worked with was very, very helpful and kind. For the items that were not on the shelf, she was able to find them in the system and order them for us with free shipping. She was very helpful and made the trip seem much more pleasant even though it really was a failure. The items that we ordered came in the mail on the 31st, so we missed the target date. That wasn't so big of a deal. It was just the idea of the fact that we spent over an hour of driving time to go to this mall, to go to this store, to make purchases, and they failed on every level except check out customer service. This is literally the reason why brick and mortar stores are going bankrupt. If I wanted to order something online, I would've started there. read more

I came up empty handed at Williams Sonoma for a few things, and was happy to find exactly what I was looking for (and more) at a lower cost. Their kitchen gadgets are high quality and fair priced. They always have fun little things that you don't even think of that I enjoy looking at. I enjoy how they have the layout grouped by type (bedding/bath/kitchen gadgets/drink ware) as I find stores that have things scattered around the store very overwhelming (because who enjoys doing 16 laps around the store to decide what you want). This particular store is very busy and your experience will vary depending on the time/help needed, the sales associate you get, and the time and day of the week. I invested in a 4 piece Axis Sectional about 13 years ago that held up beautifully!! I just got sick of the color and style, so recently sold that bad boy on Craig's list and began researching my new sofa. I knew it would be Crate and Barrel because of the quality I have grown accustomed to in the past. So I strolled into THIS store at the meadows on a week day where I worked with Brian to select my future living room/binge watching/lounging/Yelping center of my home. Lovely experience and a lot of time was given one on one. With Brian's help, we selected the new style (Taraval) and all the options such as color, fabric, wood stain, cushion comfort selection. He gave me a bid, sent me swatches, and I went home to ponder. For me, this sofa is basically the center of my home where me and guests spend a lot of time, and also must be stylish and coordinate and ground my home decor. So I pondered for about a month. Finally, I went back in on a Sunday. Sadly, Brian was not there, and the furniture store portion of the store was severely understaffed that particular day. I had to go over into the glassware department and get someone to try to help me find an associate. We waited for about 10 minutes and finally a very harried Sue came over, but she was so stressed and stretched, I could tell I would not be able to work with her on this rather detailed order. So we waited and another stressed out associate helped us for a bit, than passed us on to a new employee straight from Chicago (yay!), our heroine Doreen, who was engaged, helpful, went above and beyond and made sure we got the order right. Bottom line: save your detailed question-and-answer home Decor design workshops for the weekday when Crate and Barrel can focus on your needs. Although the furniture is good quality - the waiting and wondering when your order might come in is so frustrating, inefficient, unnecessary and so customer un-friendly. The Crate and Barrel store is essentially a showroom - EVERYTHING must be ordered. The focus should be seamless ordering and delivery. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 only because they loaned us floor chairs when our order was over 1+ month late (but paid for in it's entirety 2 + months ago). Most stores, when they don't carry stock (as this one does not carry ANYTHING furniture related in stock; lamps, carpets, tables, chairs, sofas, dining, etc...) have EXCELLENT delivery information and go the extra distance to keep you up to date on your order. They need to get this right. In addition, the salespeople aren't that caring when it comes to the situation and can offer no information on when the product will arrive. They always sound like they have better things to do that look up your order and try to surmise when it will arrive. In addition, they report that there is no manifest / no tracking available so it's a big surprise every Friday when they unload the truck from Chicago. What? That is the most ridiculous way of operating a (primarily) ordering business I have ever encountered. Honestly, as nice as everything is - I won't be back. This has been a time consuming experience and we still do not have our chairs. There is no excuse for this business model in today's world. read more

OK. I already love this store but let me tell you how great the CB is at Park Meadows. I was invited, last minute, to spend the holidays with my BF's family. I obviously couldn't show up empty handed so I decided to buy the hottest wine toy of the season...the Vinturi Wine Aerator. Since it was the hottest item, every single CB in Colorado was sold out of them, Sur La Table was out of them, and I refused to go into Williams Sonoma in fear that it was going to cost me 3 times as much for the same toy. However, the CB in Park Meadows was the only store that was getting one last shipment in before the holidays so I was smart and pre-ordered my aerator. It didn't arrive when it was supposed to and I started to panic...I called CB and told them that I needed to have that thing by Monday night at the VERY latest. I couldn't think of a better gift for his parents and we both had our heart set on them getting this. CB assured me that as soon as they signed for the box from UPS, they would call me so that I could pick them up. They did exactly that. I got my call at 5:15PM Monday night. Christmas was saved! They had promised and delivered and I was ecstatic. Thank you CB! read more

So much stuff! And much of it more affordable than I thought. We registered here for our wedding and could not be happier. They do registry parties where they open the store an hour early to give couples space to scan stuff and ask questions. During these parties they provide snacks and some vendors to answer questions. And the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Every time we've come in to get more stuff or do an exchange, we're treated as if we're a VIP. So how is that stuff? Sure there are some items you can get cheaper elsewhere, like small kitchen appliances. But they also have a lot of unique items and well designed modern designs for reasonable prices. From our square plates to cork hot pads to storage canisters with chalkboard labels (best thing ever), we're happy with everything. Of course the Cherry Creek store didn't have the Bronze Tapered Planter I found in the catalog and thought would look perfect on my front patio. But I was referred to the Park Meadows store where they had two (but only one by the time I got around to calling them to confirm). I was able to purchase it over the phone and arrange for pick up that day. And then I schlepped it out to Park Meadows. But when I got there, the planter wasn't nearly as stunning in person and I actually decided I liked the Tidore planter collection much better. I found someone preparing a display on the floor and asked for help. She called Jocelyn to assist me and from there I had the most awesome customer service experience. Jocelyn was extremely patient with me as I tried to decide exactly which configuration of the three Tidore planters - regular, tall, and square - I wanted. Once we got that all figured out, she looked them up in the computer to see if the store even had them. Of course, there was one, but not all three. My choices were to go ahead and purchase all three and pick up the missing two at the Cherry Creek location when they became available (estimated time of late May) or purchase the two online and have them shipped to my house. Since the price of shipping was only $4.95 through some kind of website special, I decided to have them shipped to my door. So Jocelyn made the exchange for the one available Tidore planter, which involved a trip out to the warehouse to find the original paperwork for the Bronze Tapered Planter (already at the loading dock waiting for us), and sent me on my way with a smile. In the future, I will be happy to drive out to the Park Meadows Crate & Barrel if I can expect such amazing service. When you're there next, ask for Jocelyn. read more

I Love this store! They do have some mundane things, especially dishes and glasses, but they also have a lot of eclectic things! They have great furniture and home accessories too. You have very poor customer service Park Meadows Colorado store. We bought the Petrie sectional last spring for $4700 and twice buttons have fallen off requiring a service call. Then over a month ago, a friend sat on the sofa with a loud crack. We immediately stopped sitting on it, took photos of the issue and sent them to C&B. No one called us for over a week so I had to call. Then our local repair guy comes by, takes a look and tells me the frame has not broken, the glue had failed and he will come back to reinforce the frame. Then nothing... I had to pursue this again via a group email with staff that suggested we 'misused' the sofa. Next, I'm told that they decided it would be "better" to come fix the issue after we moved. -We live in Denver, our house sold in 4 hours. We were in a temporary apartment waiting to close on our new house. - I did not want to wait since we have family arriving and will need a useable sofa. I was then told they will no longer service this sofa after it's moved into our new home. Pauline, Store Manager needs some serious training. You can be certain we will never buy from C&B again. This sofa has caused us more stress than selling/buying 2 homes. read more

Manager was very bitchy and rude about "requiring" me to wear a mask even though the mask mandate was lifted today. I and one other customer were in the store and all 4 employees watching, laughing and giving me smirky looks while the manager forced me to wear a mask. I think the store could have handled it better. Very frustrating when the state lifts the mask mandate to encourage people to get vaccinated yet I still can't go into a store without a mask on. Greatly enjoy this location! Layout is wonderful and easy to navigate. Being in a mall, it's usually packed, but if you need a breather, check out the furniture section in the very back. It's usually quiet and has comfy sofas and beds to check out. I purchased a mug just before Christmas and when I got home, noticed that there was a large crack that wrapped all around it. I brought it back a week later and it was the easiest exchange I've ever done. I found a new mug on the shelf, brought it up to the counter, the sales associate looked at it, wrapped up the new one, and handed it to me. No computer transactions. No signing random pieces of paper. We were in and out in like 2 minutes. Amazing. We've signed up for their Wedding Registry party in February and are thrilled that they offer special times to come in and get this tedious process done. Especially as they have vendors out to explain the products and I hear there are food and drink samples! Another reason to love this store! read more

A very clean and well organized store. My Hubs and I had to stop in to buy a gift off a wedding registry. Having traveled from LA to CO we opted to purchase a gift there instead of having to handle another package on the flight. The registry was easy to acquire and when we had difficulties finding certain items and asked for help, we were helped in a friendly manner. The associate that helped us found the items we were looking for and helped us skirt the line as she noticed we were in kind of a hurry. I love crate and barrel and find every shopping trip to any of this chains locations is always blissfully easy and pleasant. I wish I had had more time and more space in my suitcase to pick up a few extra items needed for my kitchen. I also encourage all those who may have been recently engaged to start a registry here, as they have great products and incentives to complete your registry after your big day. I have always enjoyed wasting time walking around this chain, inventing uses for the items that catch my eye and must become part of my toolbox. read more

I shop here frequently and love their style and prices. My only complaints are: 1. Nothing is in stock and it takes weeks sometimes months to get anything e.g. lamp, drapes, and curtains. 2. Getting help in the furniture department takes forever and the helpfulness of the sales person varies greatly. 3. They make you stand in the freezing hallway to pick up items at the warehouse. I've never in my life ever been treated with such disrespect as I was from one of the sales associates at this location. I was told to go to this location for the customer service agent online to pick up an item from the baby room set that I ordered. I drove straight there and waited patiently, as they were very busy. When it was my time to be attended to, the lady looked at me and stated "we are extremely busy, what can I help you with". I proceeded to let her know that I just need them to find the item (I had it pulled up on my phone). She didn't even look in the computer or anything, immediately told me that "we don't have that, you'll have to order online." I responded that I was told from customer service that they have 2 at this location and that I could pick it up there. She then said, "okay again, we are very busy and you're going to have to wait. Typically people purchase those kind of items online." Keep in mind I was waiting patiently, and waited my turn as I was next in line at the desk. Sure enough the next lady found my item in the back. While I understand my item was a sale item for only $29, I had just spent $1500 on the rest of them items that match. This small item was just not available at the Cherry Creek location. I wish I would have gotten the sales associates name, but I just wanted to get out at that point. I will continue my business elsewhere. read more

Shopping for big ticket items like furniture can be stressful, but we had a great experience at C&B. We came in with an idea of what furniture we wanted to check out, but also just wanted to wander around and look at other stuff. The salesperson we met at the front gave us some tips and then let us wander. Eventually, we found the sectional we wanted and spent some time talking to Chris. He helped us cut up the pieces of the sectional off the measurement sheet, drew out our room and fit the pieces in to figure out what configuration would work best for us. We really appreciated his help and patience. He also did a great job explaining the Crate & Barrel credit card if we wanted to go that route. He got us a couple color swatches to take home in order to compare colors and was straightforward with us on what dates we would have to order by to get the furniture when we wanted it. Fast forward a couple days and I call to place my order. Chris was not available, so I spoke with a customer service representative who put the sale under Chris' name. Unfortunately, even after being on the phone and going over everything multiple times, the sectional was ordered backwards. After I looked at the receipt and realized it was wrong, I went back into the store to correct the mistake. I spoke with another woman first, who suggested I wait for Chris. It's slightly frustrating that once you work with one salesperson, they ask you to work with same person every time you come in even though she had my order pulled up on the screen but I understand since he was most familiar with our purchase. Chris was quite busy that day with other couples and I ended up waiting a lot longer than I hoped just to update an order and ask for a coffee table suggestion. Eventually, we got it all figured out and he did a great job getting everything ordered properly. Our delivery date only got pushed back four days so we are definitely very happy about that. We are so excited for our new sectional and are overall very happy with the customer service at C&B. read more

If I need some inspiration for a tabletop or decorations I consistently stop in Crate & Barrel. They have wonderful glassware, silverware and vases! I can easily spend an hour just wandering through the store. They always have great seasonal inspirations for a down to earth price. In the summer they stock fun patio tableware and during the holidays they have elegant ideas to kick it up a notch. The furnishings are nice as well, fairly clean lines and contemporary, for the most part. Between Williams & Sonoma downstairs and Crate & Barrel upstairs, you can stock a gourmet kitchen or put together a starter set for a college student! Great resource in a vast mall. read more

We purchased a beautiful wood block table that cracked, due to the dry climate in Denver. I called and Ann took care of us and graciously replaced the table, explaining they had a problem with cracking but we could try again. I got a replacement and about 9 months later a loud pop, and the table cracked again. I went in and talked to very nice young man and I purchased another table that had similar features, but made out of a different type of wood. My table was returned for the third time with full refund. I highly recommend this company not only for the people they have working there, but the company policy to make sure it's customers get what they pay for. Good job done by all at Crate & Barrel, including the 3 men that delivered the new table and picked up the broken one! This was my first big purchase at Crate & Barrel and I will certainly go back. Which is a lot less than I can say about some expensive furniture I purchased at a furniture store in Evergreen, worst furniture experience ever at top prices.
