We've used Worthy Plumbing for four years, and wouldn't call anyone else. Fred has even come out to our house on a Sunday evening to locate and immediately fix what looked like a serious leak--water coming through the downstairs light fixtures! He figured out within 10 minutes what was causing it--a poor builder-installation on the tub drain--and got it replaced before there was serious damage. He then set up a fan to dry out the space between floor and ceiling and prevent mold. Fred and his son Jeremy have also installed faucets and toilets, and fixed a blockage in our dishwasher drain without having to tear the plumbing apart. When the old water heater went out, he had a new one in within a day. Fred stands by his work and doesn't leave until it's done right. He carries enough parts in his truck that there's rarely a need for him (or you) to race out to the hardware store. His prices are mid-range--there's no such thing as a cheap good plumber--and Fred takes pride in his work. Unlike with a larger plumbing company, you can count on a truly competent professional showing up to do even emergency jobs. Oh the joys of home ownership! Leaking water heater; DIY or plumber? I went with the latter and gave Fred a call based on favorable Yelp reviews. As promised, Fred sent his son Jeremy out on a next day first service call. Jeremy confirmed my replacement diagnosis and quoted a flat rate for a new heater, replacement of various connectors, install and haul away of the old unit. Based on reviews I called Worthy Plumbing and Jeremy came out. He was busy but since my schedule conflicted with his a bit he went out of his way to accommodate mine. Full disclosure: I wasn't a customer. But read on... I was just a guy who randomly called about some questionable plumbing work done in my apartment, a water heater installation. We had a leak coming from our upstairs bathroom into our downstairs living room. I called several Plumbing companies and had to leave messages. Great Service! In the process of my DYI Water Heater replacement, I ran into a small hiccup when I was unable to carefully remove the flex line on the cold water supply line. It appears that this water heater hasn't been touched since it was originally installed back in 1994! and this thing was seized on. The more I wrenched, I felt that I was either stripping the nut or putting too much stress that I might damage the home's water supply line. After a frustrating hour, I decided to give Fred a call and explained my issue. He was able to drop by within 30 min and had the flex line removed in no time at a reasonable price for such a small job. Actually he spent more time talking to me after the job to assure that I did the install correctly. He even called later that day to check up on my progress.
