Customers: Read the bad reviews too. There's a pattern. He makes excuses. I think Rob is a good plumber and knows what he's doing, but he's a failure with public relations if things do not go smoothly, and he needs to hire someone competent. His partner made a mess. A copper pipe under the house was leaking and spraying water all over the subfloor and crawl space. He said he'd" replace the pipe" but he didn't. His partner put a metal clamp and black tape on it! It was spraying water days later, soaking my subfloor beams and flooding the crawl space. And he left a tool and a large plastic tarp under the house that covered the flooded area which could cause a lot of mold. I found it when the pipe began leaking again. Rob came and replaced or repaired the pipe. I asked for the old pipe but he seemed reluctant so I let it go. The job was not quite finished, but he came the next day at 9a.m. and wanted to get paid and said he'd send me a receipt, but he hasn't. I paid him in full, and I gave him my email address. Over the next week or so I gave him my email three times and repeatedly asked for an itemized receipt but got nothing, not even a return call. I thought he'd finish the job when he came at 9 am and wanted to get paid. After I paid him in full he left, and I waited for 5 hours and called him, but I got no return call until I called again and left a message that I had put a hold on the check. Then he called back. He was angry and yelled at me and hung up on me. He finally showed up to finish the job, but he was still angry and wouldn't look at me. Earlier, he said he'd clean the mud off the house that his partner smeared while working but he didn't clean it. He placed an industrial fan in the crawl space and left it overnight, but never picked it up. I called and told him I'd cover it and leave it on the side of the house. That was 10 days ago. The fan is still there. And he's sent no receipt. I only have an estimate with no date and writing that is illegible. He charged me $900. My regular plumber was busy. But he came and took photos of the pipes and I turned on the water, and he made a video of the "repaired" pipe that was spraying water and flooding the crawl space. Bad job, Rob, and lousy communication. And pick up your fan before it's stolen. And send me an itemized receipt. Maybe I won't ask you for the $225 I had to pay my regular plumber to come out on a Sunday and document the mess your guy made under my house. Fantastic service! Short notice leak detection and repair for our upstairs showers that was slowly leaking below on our garage. If I paid his service, I would contact BBB/CSLB to his business practice which misleading/inconsistent of service fee that quated by Rob.B. I called Rob's Pluming and spoke to an owner Rob. B 14 December 2022. I called about leaky faucet one of my rental properties in Port Hueneme, CA. After I sent via text for 3 photo of old faucet, Rob B. So he can to identify type of faucet, and equated me "200 dollar" (two words). I assume that two hundred dollar includes a cost of faucet and labor. I texted back to Rob B. it will be good price, and I can meet with him next day between 2-3pm, 15 Dec 2022. However, he or his employer texted me in the morning at 0928 am, "Good morning, "running little late be there shortly". I give 24 Hr notice to enter to my tenant between 2-3pm. Suddenly he wanted to be the service 9am. That was very inconvenience to tenant and owner (scheduled meet between 2-3pm). However, a Hispanic person showed up around 1145 am even my tenant contacted the person what time arriving the property, he just said "shortly" turned to 1145 am.. Upon arrival, I showed him the kitchen faucet. Fist he told us that 'faucet is good shape", and gradually he changed his opinion, that need to be replaced. After I asked him "are you Rob B?" he replied that Rob B. is sick. I asked him if you are employee of Rob B?, he did not respond. Now I assured that $200 quoted yesterday by Rob B only labor? include faucet? Please specify. He replied me that "no other plumber offer you to replace faucet $200.00". So, $200 dollar and cost of faucet. So, totaling between $400-$500 dollar at least.
