I'll admit, I had doubts about getting my import (2017 VW Jetta) and its turbocharged engine and…read morefinicky tires worked on at Warren Tire in small town Whitehall. I'm glad I got over my doubts, because they did an excellent job! I was due for a 20k mile service, and with travel coming up, I couldn't wait a week for the closest VW dealer (where I'm visiting) to take my car in. The VW dealer also told me that once they saw me, it would take at least two hours, and when I had further questions, they sent me to a service advisor's voicemail! I called Warren Tire around 1:45 PM, and they could take me in for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation by 4 PM that same day. You can't ask for anything more, especially in a rural area. I will say they didn't have the 5w40 synthetic oil that I wanted, but 5w30 is also within VW specs and they of course had that. Tires were all rotated just fine, and unlike other shops, they didn't leave any schmutz on the inside or outside of my car. As others have mentioned, you wouldn't expect to find a modern auto service center in what frankly appears to be a crumbling old railroad depot from the outside. This old railroad depot lends a nice historical ambiance compared to the generic boxes you'll see everywhere else. The AC was ice cold on a humid 95 degree day, and the restrooms are clean. I had my car back in less than an hour! $60 for synthetic oil change and $22 for tire rotation, came to a shade under $90 after taxes and fees. Not the cheapest, but less than the VW "stealership" and extremely convenient. I'd come back to Warren Tire in Whitehall anytime. You probably won't wait long, but if you need to, there's a nice canal front area to walk along, a CVS, and a couple of local eateries (deli, Chinese, and a tavern) within walking distance.

Total incompetence when repairing drivers window not functioning they spent three hours with there…read morecomputer trying to diagnose a 2002 window problem put the car on the lift could not figure out why they were looking for other problems that did not exist told me the front end neaded work. Nobody asked them to check my front end I had just had my entire front suspension rebuild in the end they had no idea what was wrong with my drivers window but when I left passenger window also stoped working from screwing around for hours trying to trouble shoot a 25 yr old car window problem bottom with a computer instead of taking door card apart they wasted 3 hr embellishment of a unnecessary repair and taking out drivers window computer that also operates passenger side with the scan tool. I personally replaced drivers side ecu and trouble shot the drivers window tap drivers window motor with a screw driver motor stated to work ecu brought back to life passenger window problem solved totally incompetent to do anything but change parts of diagnosing the simplest problems without ther scan tool They are part changers not mechanics beware when bringing your car there for service ps I do not and never had repaired cars in my life this was the most basic problem compounded by incompetence

The second time I brought it back in not even 2 days having it back my steering rack and pinion was broken, I took it back to the shop so that they could fix that too, Unfortunately since all this basically happened all at once my finances were completely wrecked! but they were completely understanding about it and worked with me so it could play out best for us both and I can't be more greatful. I have a broken radio and sooner rather then later Im bringing it back to get it replaced!! Please consider these guys if your vehicle is having any trouble, They deserve the support!!

TIME LINE @ ENGLAND BROS…read more 4/13/26 brought to shop Paul said grandpa had one just like it Was thrilled to work on it. 6/22/26 picked it up Paul said he did the brake job (bleeding the brake lines) but wouldn't charge me since it took so long & couldn't complete all that I wanted done. He didn't bleed the brakes even though he SAID he had. I can't stress this enough. I knew it as I was pulling out onto John Stark Hwy. when my foot went to the floor trying to stop for traffic. In between April 13 & June 22? It was raining. It snowed. He was sick. He got behind in his jobs. It rained again. He was behind again. He was starting today. It rained. He was gonna do it tomorrow for sure & thanks for being so understanding. He'd call as soon as it was done. After a week I called him. He said he was on it. He'd call in a few days when it was done. It rained. I left a message that if he can't do it please just call & let me know so I can move on. I called 2 days later & he said I was on his call list & he just can't do the job. April 13-June 22. I was kind. I never yelled. I was understanding. When I went to pick it up he said the brakes were indeed bled but no charge for my trouble & for being so patient. Gave me a safety inspection sticker. A SAFETY INSPECTION STICKER. No longer required in NH but I wanted to be sure I was good to go. Knowing FULL WELL he hadn't done my brakes & just let me drive away. EDIT TO SAY: Just went out to check things out (it was raining yesterday when I picked it up) and found the ORIGINAL LIST I had given Paul. bleed brakes (price given $127), safety check, fix gas gauge, new battery for engine to include new mount, de-winterize it ($127), blow out the vents (n/c), attach front plate (wasn't done when I got there but he had his guy do it) and NONE OF THIS WAS DONE. What WAS done was muddy footprints & dirt everywhere, seats taken apart & not put back together, and a drawer that doesn't close now. It was clean when I brought it in. Everything in place. And now.....? What a MESS!
