I can say with all honesty in the half century of my dealings with automotive repair shops that I have ever had, the service I received at Auto Fix car care center - Paul and Joan are automotive rock stars! I called at 7:30 AM explained my situation - with being out of town and in need of a quick turn around to get back home, and then giving my novice self diagnosis of what I thought my problem was and not having any delusional expectation of having the repair done quickly but still asking. Paul told me to bring it in and they would get a look at it. I dropped it off at 8:00 AM had an estimate by 10:00AM and picked it up by 4:00PM unbelievable - unexpected - heartwarming! The work was done as estimated, quickly, properly and was a good value. all I can say is they are honest, trustworthy, dependable and just all around great people my hat is off to a great team of professionals that should be everyone's go to repair shop. I want to start by saying that this company did everything they said they would. To start- they stated I could come bring my car to be "looked at"before 11am. They stated they would have my car checked out and get back to me. I went in at approximately 08:30am-- they IMMEDIATELY pulled my car in and put it on the lift. I proceeded to get an Uber to go wait BUT they stopped me and stated it would take only a minute or so. They lifted my car and within minutes had an answer for me. They proceeded to take ME OUT TO the garage and showed me the exhaust and issues. WHAT A CLASS ACT! They then walked me back out, gave me an estimate and asked if I wanted to move forward. Was on my way to Lake George from Long Island. Three hours into my trip had car trouble that caused me to stop at VW dealer in Queensbury. They determined I needed a new belt, but did not have a mechanic in on Saturday. Were nice enough to make a call and sent me down to Andy at Auto Fix. Not only was he gracious enough to take me at the last minute, but had me back on the road in 30 minutes. When I asked how much, he waived his hand and said your keys are in the car, have a nice day! I am so overwhelmed with his kindness. Couldn't be more grateful. An Angel sent from Heaven to save me and my vacation. Wish I lived closer, would be the only place I take my car. I had a very positive experience at AFCCC. I brought my car in because my drivers side window had slipped off the track and wouldn't roll up all the way. The man at the desk explained to me that he would have the mechanic look at it and there would be a $45 diagnostic fee. I agreed to pay whatever I had to to ensure that my window would be back in working order. I got back to AFCCC about an hour and a half later and went in to discuss what they needed to do to fix my window and the man said I didn't owe anything!! They are very reasonable people at AFCCC and I will definitely be bringing my car back for any problems in the future!! Very professional and kind people! read more

Auto Fix is great! Every experience I've had with them has been superb. I went today as I was quoted about $3,000 for a repair to replace my catalytic converter and wanted a second opinion. Auto Fix has done exhaust pipe work on 2 previous vehicles of mine. They checked it out, it just needed some pipe repair for a tiny fraction of the cost quoted me. They were done in about an hour and I was on my way. My van is so quiet now! They are a small business and the owner and his wife were on site workin, and they are very personable. A car dealership suggested Auto Fix to us for exhaust work and I'm pretty sure this will be our go-to shop from now on. They did only what was needed and the charge was completely fair. We had only scheduled an appointment for an estimate but asked if they could do an oil change. They called just a short time later to advise what was needed for the exhaust repair; gave us the cost for the repair plus oil change and offered to do both that day. I would highly recommend AFCCC for your car repairs recently my son had some major front end problems while traveling for work. With a quick check of Yelp reviews and a few phone calls we were able to arrange for his truck to be repaired quickly and with a price that was comparable to our own mechanic we use where we live. I can't begin to tell you how great this place is! I was up to Lake George area for vacation when my cars alternator went. They had my car in and out super fast and the price was right. The owner is probably one of the nicest guys I've ever meet. He wouldn't let me take a taxi to and from my resort to pickup my car, he actually drove and picked me up (3 exits away on the interstate). I wish I had a mechanic like this where I live. My review is to say that the reviews yelp labels as "not recommended" (for being TOO glowing) are probably worthy of trust. Granted, the first one listed is, perhaps, incredible. A woman vacationing from NYC, wrote that they took her in short notice at closing time, replaced a belt and didn't charge. Don't know about that one. I will ask them and add their answer here. I took my car in because I thought I needed an A/C charge. The mechanic told me I had a full charge , but the compressor was bad. Rather than spend the money for a new compressor, I'm going to buy a new car. My car has 155000 miles and things are starting to break. They didn't charge me for checking the A/C. Pretty Awesome!
