This is a gas station off the main road in Wrightwood. I believe there's four pumps for gas. They also sell cold beverages, snacks, newspapers and even passes for the local ski resort. I go here to get newspapers and a day pass when I intend to hike Inspiration Point. The cashiers are always friendly and service is quick, there's usually no line. Cute little stop heading in or out of town. Not much parking but it's easy to park nearby and walk a short distance if no parking is available at the market itself. read more

The staff are always nice and price for gas is always fair. Their selection is pretty stacked and they're quick to restock. I've only spoken to the owner when he's there a couple times, but he's also very pleasant in my experience. Very glad Wrightwood has this gas station. read more

Given that this is the only gas station in town, the gas here is fairly affordable. The real gem, though, is their market. There are so many cool finds in there. I just recently found out that they serve frozen drinks, which if you know me, I'm addicted to. They make all their own merch and homemade delights like daily biscuits and gravy, chicken salad, and your standard hot dogs and whatnot. They also have water outside for your pups to sip if you're passing through or stopping in. read more

Visited June 17, 2017 Needed to gas up before heading back to LA. This gas station/market was the closest to the zipline. Little sitting area outside. Usual stuff inside. We ended up purchasing soda and junk food before heading onto the fwy. Parking is horrible though. If you wanted to just go into the market, you have to find street parking. There were only a few gas pumps so we had to wait awhile for a pump because the people getting gas also went into the market and they weren't exactly quick about it. This little store is great. Staff is very friendly. They have some really good essentials for you trip up Mountain High. Gloves, beanies and random nic-nacs that you may need. Prices are sensible nothing outrageous. I got me a very nice thick beanie. O yes and can't forget to mention that this is the only gas station up here in Wrightwood. read more

The customer service here is great! While we were visiting the town we stopped by this market and bought a sweatshirt. It wasn't until we got home 6 hours away that we realized the sweatshirt was the wrong size (it was labeled incorrectly by mistake). I called them up and asked if I were to send them the sweatshirt back and pay for the postage, would they send the right size back to me which they kindly agreed to do. But not only did they send the right sized sweatshirt back, they also included $ for the postage plus extra goodies like stickers and a bottle opener plus an apology note for the mislabeled item. It was beyond what I expected and I very much appreciated their thoughtfulness and generosity! Thank you kind Wrightwood market people!! :) read more

We are so fortunate to have this wonderful little market here in town! They don't upcharge a ridiculous amount for gas even tho it's the only station around for about 10 miles, and the only place to fill up along Highway 2. They have air and water for your vehicle, a clean restroom and the employees are all helpful and friendly. The market has a surprisingly good selection of snacks and a lot of vegetarian/vegan options too! The owner even loaned me a gas can once to help out a friend in trouble, and helped me fill up our vintage RV because it's a hassle with the old RV and California compliant gas nozzles. This market has the nicest employees! I couldn't find my drivers license for about a week and thought I lost it while at Mountain High. I totally forgot that I stopped by this market and left it there. They ended up mailing me my drivers license and I couldn't be more grateful! Thank you Wrightwood Market! You guys are so kind. P.s they also have great sleds. I stopped by to buy a couple and I am so glad I did. I had brought my english bulldog to the snow for the first time and he absolutely loved one of the sleds I got from this market. The sleds definitely made our trip. read more

This seemed like any other gas station/c-store. They have a plethora of drinks and snacks, dont bother looking for something healthy. They also have gas if you drove up here and forgot to fill up before arriving. Pro Tip: They dont even rip you off for using credit vs cash... the difference was only $.06/gallon. I didnt end up getting any fuel here, but I was able to see that this place was totally typical of every other gas station that I have been to. Limited customer service with a fillerup and run attitude. I know you have been to a million places like this in the past. I guess the only difference here is that it is not a chain and it is a relaxed town. But I do prefer the independent places over the chain locations... enjoy... read more

This is the only place to stop and or top up your motorcycle with fuel before riding any of the Los Angeles Crest Froest Roads such as the 2 etc. The staff are always kind and genuinely happy to see you! I stop there everytime on my bike, Its become a ritual now! read more

After a long and windy drive through the mountains this has station - literally in the middle of the forest - saved my day. My Siri told me to get onto Highway 2 to save time on the way to Palm Springs. Although scenic - it is not a drive for the light of heart. WATCH OUT IF YOU USE A CREDIT CARD. YOU COULD GET RIPPED OFF. This is one of those stations that has not modernized and you have to go inside to pay. If you tell them an amount, that's what they will charge you even if your car takes less than that amount. In other words, you pay for gas you did not buy. I pulled in on my motorcycle, told them five bucks (my bike is small) and the bike took $3.56. Did they adjust the amount like every other gas station in the world? Nope. I got charged the five bucks. This station does not inform the public of this fact or that you have to go back inside to get your card adjusted. Nope, they just let you drive off with an overage on your card. Unfortunately, they are the only gas on the mountain. If you must fill up, use cash. read more

The Wrightwood Min Mart has good aspects and bad. One clerk, who probably will be gone by the time I finish this, is very friendly and helpful, outgoing, and makes your experience pleasant. She is one of maybe four or five, and all the others do as much as they can to make your experience unpleasant...and this is the average, in wrightwood. Wrightwood businesses feel entitled to your money and think you should hand it over, shut up, and move out of their way as soon as possible. And to help the Wrightwood Mini Mart collect your dollars, they've instituted a minimum purchase requirement on debit cards. As I understand it, for sme cards this is legal and accepted. As I understand it, and I have a query in to Visa at this time to clarify, for VISA Debit cards, they are not allowed to charge a minimum. Any business that must rely on imposing "minimums" to make their money is a pathetically incomptetent business. Adding a nickel to the price of a dozen things in the store will get them the same thing (which presumably is to cover the cost the card company charges them) without annoying and putting customers off. But I think Wrightwood businesses compete to see who can annoy the customer more, so maybe that's all part of the plan. Anyway, as soon as I hear back from Visa, I'll post again,. Meanwhile, do your shopping elsewhere, and if you think the Jensens across the street is better, think again...they added 50 percent to everything in the store to make sure they get your money! read more

Under the new Boyle family management, the Wrightwood Market has turned into one of the best local businesses! They have the best selection of snacks, anyone gluten-free or vegan can find something yummy here. During summer, they had the best iced coffee in town, and they always have the tastiest fresh-brewed iced tea. If you happen to miss the farmer's market that week, they have a fresh produce cart full of local and organic fruits and vegetables. They have soy milk, good and inexpensive eggs, and basically anything else you would need. Check out the cute chalkboard art they did inside. They have turned this little mountain gas station into a beautiful spot, and their outdoor tables are a nice place to have lunch! read more
