The owner, Margarita, and her amazing staff are always welcoming and are always on point with knowing Mona's services, I basically come in and they know exactly what she need done. The best groomers in Long Beach, I been taking my Bella for years now. They are always nice and friendly. I usually do walk- ins and they are very accommodating. But I do suggest making an appointment or calling ahead because they can be booked(that tells you a lot). My Bella looks fabulous after her grooming and she smells so good. I highly recommended them! She listens to my concerns and even offers to provide my dog with special shampoo to mitigate his itchy skin. At Pet Spaw, my dog is treated with respect and he comes out so clean and soft. I love cuddling with him after his bath. This is the only place I take my dog. Before I took him to Petco and Petsmart, but I noticed that my dog would have coughing problems and/or skin problems after. I had been taking my three kitties here for their grooming needs for the past year and had been happy with their services until last week. However, I recently made the mistake of bringing them in on a Saturday; a mistake that turned out to be deadly. A few days after getting them groomed at this place I came home to find my youngest kitty dead. An autopsy showed that she had heart disease and experiencing a recent stressful situation had likely caused her to die. When I spoke with the owner about a blanket that had not been returned with the last visit, she told me that it had probably been thrown out. (How can I trust my pets will be safe when my property isn't?) When I told her about my poor kitty, she stated that my cat's death had been my fault because I didn't take her to the vet to diagnose her (Who says that to someone that's just lost a beloved pet??), adding that since Saturdays are so busy for them they usually don't take in cats on those days. (This information would have been good to know before my sweet kitty DIED) This woman is callous and heartless, only seeming to be concerned about making her money and has a complete disregard for everything else. She has no compassion for the pain of loosing a beloved pet and is unwilling to accept her role in that loss, In addition, she seems to have no problem discarding a customer's personal property. I will NEVER bring my other two kitties back to this place and I strongly urge other cat owners to do the same. If you do insist on patronizing her business, avoid Saturdays. Since she doesn't have the professional courtesy to warn her clients herself, someone must sound the alarm. BEWARE!! read more

Took my dog here last minute the other day, because the other places I was trying to get my dog groomed at was already booked for the day & no more appointments or walk-ins available for the day. So I relied on yelp to help me find a decent good pet grooming service. It didn't have that much reviews as the other grooming places but I still took the chance since most of them were 5 stars. I didn't wanna wait another day to get my dog groomed & when I called this place they said they could be able to groom her today if I take her in right away & within 5-10 min. i was there. At first my Pomeranian got all crazy when we handed her over, but she finally calmed down. So we dropped her off and within about 2 hours they called to say she was ready for pick up. & I was pretty satisfied on how she came out. Their pricing is pretty reasonable & they did a really good job on my Pomeranian. I have to admit, AT FIRST it was definantly not the first place I'd pick to get my baby groomed but like I said the other groom service (the one where I got my other dog groomed) were booked for the day already so I took the chance at this place. But I wasnt disappointed at all. and I think this is my permanent dog grooming place for my pomeranian, & maybe next thing I'll take my shihtzu here instead of the other place she last got groomed at since this one is closer. read more

Margarete the owner of this Dog Spa is the best! I am always able to get my dogs in for a hair cut and a bath on the same day I call. I can never seem to plan when I want my dogs prettied up and she makes things much easier for me! All of the staff is very friendly and Margarete is always sooooo helpful. She truly cares about the animals she grooms and remembers me and my furry 'kids' by name. She and her staff also do their best at getting mattes out of their fur, I have been to other groomers that don't even want to try to brush their fur....they just want to shave them down so it is less work. The workers here are so personable, and always recognize me when I come in, even if I wasn't the one to drop my dog off. As soon as I walk in they say "Are you here for Leo? We will go get him!". And then they will let me know how the grooming went and if there is anything I need to know about my dog. My dog's skin is easily irritated, and the Wrigley Pet Spaw offers special shampoo so he will not get even more irritated, which we appreciate so much. Also, they give us tips to help care for his skin in between grooms. You can tell that they are all passionate about what they do, and that they really care about the dogs. I took my dog Curley (Toy Poodle) to get groomed here, I was trying to find a place equivalent to the place we had in Virginia (which I loved) so, we went here after reading the very helpful yelp reviews. They did an amazing job! I have gotten so many compliments on his grooming its unbelievable. I dropped my dog at 8:30 and by 11:05 he was already done. The products they use has kept Curley smelling super fresh even though we have been already multiple times to the dog park. Needless to say I will keep taking Curley to get groomed at Wrigley's.
