TL;DR: Dog walkers have been having sex in my apartment I do not often leave reviews, but after everything that has happened, I feel the need to warn others. I have been using Wrigleyville Pet Care Services since September. Services have generally been okay, though my dog would not often poop on his walks with them, which was somewhat concerning as that is a sign of distrust. I ignored this red flag though, because I work a lot and he needs someone to take him potty. In October, while traveling Carol arranged for Jelisa to stay the weekend with my dog. My landlord told me that when he came by to change my a/c units out, she was not there. Moreover, my wifi went out all weekend and she never complained, suggesting maybe she didn't stay over very long. I received no picture updates all day Sunday. When I came home early on Monday morning, the walker was not there and my dog's water bowl was disgusting. I know I should have complained to Carol then, but I wanted to avoid conflict so in her defense she was not aware of this issue until today. Now for the really serious stuff and why I am writing this review - I found a USED CONDOM in my trash after my dog's walk yesterday. I told Carol what I found and that the only rational explanation is that one of her walkers left it (I live alone and they are the only ones with keys - plural because Carol requires you give her two sets). She basically told me she couldn't believe her walkers would do that and that someone else must be breaking into my apartment, but I should mention there was no forced entry, door was locked as usual when I came home, and nothing stolen. She also, in my opinion, victim blamed me for not having cameras in my home (heaven forbid I don't want to be recorded 24/7 and trust the people I hire to care for my dog). She told me all her clients have cameras and since my dog has special needs, she thought I would have one (wow... okay... cause its not enough that I pay your walkers to check on him every 4 hours?). All in all this experience has been emotionally traumatizing and costly. I do not feel safe in my home and am having to have my locks rekeyed. I also felt compelled to purchase a security camera for my safety and my dog's wellbeing. While I vet future walkers, I will likely have to pay double to put my dog in daycare. Don't ignore the red flags like I did - use one of the other many competitors in the area. Also, don't worry Carol, if I "find who did this" with my new security cameras, I'll still let you know and update this review. read more
