The back and forth process of creating my resume was thorough. The writer and editor teamed up to make the process easy and within the time they said. I'd say that's worth the price tag. They even made suggestions of how to apply properly and with which format, etc. All that being said, I've had my re-written resume for 3 months, have used it to apply to over 50 positions, and have gotten 0 interviews. I'm writing an update to a review because I really want people to know how great Melody and her company is. Melody and Brett recreated my resume and cover letter for me back in January. After an initial jump of interviews (where I was unfortunately beat out by more qualified candidates) I went through over a month of no call backs, no interviews, nothing. A little unsure of what was happening and not quite sure of what to do next, I decided to try emailing Melody for advice. Not only did she reply to my email personally, she even gave me a call to discuss options and what else I could do. On top of emailing and calling me, she recreated my resume as a text only version which I used to apply for a few more positions including ones for Hulu and Google. You'd think as a marketing writer and digital strategist I wouldn't have a hard time creating my personal "brand" or sales piece, but I've had the hardest time! After some career setbacks these last 12 months, I really needed help in creating a bomb resume that truly highlighted my accomplishments and strengths in a cohesive way. Melody, Ida, and Emily did not disappoint. They provided me with several different, custom-designed templates to choose from, and also spoke with me on the phone for over an hour--literally dissecting every job or internship I've ever had to get a better understanding of what I'd contributed. I really appreciated the thorough, hands-on process of this and their knowledge of the advertising industry. The best part of it all was the turnaround time. I'd looked around at several services that charged the same rates, but wanted to make me wait nearly 2 months to even have my first phone meeting. I needed something relatively swift, and I only had to wait 2 weeks in all from the moment I paid. I don't know if this will last as they grow, but I certainly was grateful for that. The cover letter, my biggest challenge personally, also turned out great.
