The oysters that my wife ordered were some of the best fried oysters we've had in many years! There wad a very large amount of very large (bordering on huge) oysters. She loved them and couldn't finish them all (I of course volunteered to help support her on that ). The oysters were just a Little Bit on the too salty side but not by any means way too salty. I called to place a quick order for my daughter and myself, only to be met with an immediate, snotty attitude: "We don't do pickup orders when we're busy." When I called back to speak with management about how I was treated, the manager, Kevin, made it abundantly clear where the staff learns their awful attitude. Instead of listening for even ten seconds, he repeatedly talked over me and started arguing. After that disgusting display of "customer service," I called Mosey's instead. You could hear right over the phone that they were slammed with a packed house, but the gentleman who answered was patient, respectful, and took our order for a calzone and cheese sticks without hesitation. When I asked if it was okay to bring my 7-year-old daughter inside to pick it up, he didn't hesitate: "We're very family-friendly, come on in." We happily waited 15 minutes in line just to pick up our food because good businesses that treat people with respect actually deserve our money. Take notes from Mosey's, Kevin. The staff and owner were friendly and pleasant to talk with, and even gave us recommendations of other restaurants to try during our stay which was greatly appreciated. These were the positives. Let's get to the food. I ordered the salmon (blackened) box with jerk pasta, broccoli and a side of Mac and cheese to try, with a strawberry lemonade. My guy ordered the 10 piece lemon pepper wings and fries. He tried all of the sodas in the machine, and informed the staff that all were flat. The owner tried to rectify the situation, to no avail. He ended up with strawberry lemonade too. There was a slight wait for our food but no worries. When it arrived, I remarked that my salmon was cooked just as I liked it. Unfortunately, it lacked seasoning. No blackened seasoning, no salt, no pepper. If it was on there, it was very, very light. Maybe it was a different cook on the day that we visited. However, I saw the same people that are in their Tik-Tok videos in the kitchen the day we visited. I so wanted to love this place!! But my food was disappointing to say the least. That makes me sad. On our food, we spent around $70 on 3 orders. Overall, while the food was not what I was expecting, the staff's attitudes were very warm and pleasant which definitely helps out the rating. If you want to support a new, up and coming, minority owned business, try them out when in PCB. Try out their Po-Boys; word has it when they operated their food truck, they were famous for them.
