I've been wanting to visit Wurst since arriving in Oslo and finally made it. Be warned, as of right now, the hours on Yelp are incorrect. They don't open until 2pm on Sundays, I will try to get Yelp to update. We showed up at noon so had to figure out how to waste a couple hours, which was a bit difficult since most retail in this area is closed on Sunday. We were starving once we came back at 2pm, and each ordered a dog. We can't read Norwegian that well so kind of flew by the seat of our pants, but it turned out all good. The beer selection here is good, and not horribly overpriced. I really like the vibe of the place, it's spacious, had covered outdoor seating, and comfy to hang out and stay a while. We both really enjoyed the dogs, I like mine best but my husbands was really good too. He got the Puerco, and I don't remember the name of mine. We also got the polse chip things which were interesting... they were thinly sliced sausage cooked until crispy and you dip them in bbq sauce. I spent a week in Iceland and Norway with my wife and we ate a lot of hot dogs. Like, too many. The best, though, were here. The menu can be a little difficult to navigate on your own, but the employees are able to help if you need it. Google Translate gets the job done too. Most surprising was the vegan dog; it didn't have the snap of the other sausages but otherwise it was indistinguishable from them. We had 4 of them (Puerco, MIM, Completo, and Bunga Bunga) and the Puerco (chili dog with chips, cheese, and their chili mayo) was the clear favorite. They also have a dozen beers on tap here, originating from the US to Japan. Total cost for 4 dogs + 2 beers was 532 NOK (about $66 US) which is an average price. read more

Loved Wurst. Everything from the local beer on tap to the amazing brats just like at home. Proper bratwurst has been one of the things I've missed the most and now I don't have to miss them anymore! Something about the atmosphere of this place was really nice. It is probably the interior that creates this warm feeling because of the wood and brownish colours that are used for the decorations. I also liked the somewhat dimmed lights, a good combo for a chill evening. The sausage was good and very filling! There are chili sausages, chorizo, garlic, normal, etc. You can also choose from several toppings among potato mouse, onions, cheese, bacon. You may add your own preference of sauce from a large selection of mild ones to more hot ones. On a regular weekday there were some people having a late (7ish) snack and beer. But by the time it was around 10 we were the only people left. The service was excellent and the order came out as a number on a screen. Very convenient way to avoid a line. The music was in the background, can't even remember what it was. Generally I liked it and I would go back for a beer/snack. Great concept. read more

Best hotdogs in town! This typical beer place offers super tasty hotdogs with chili con carne for example. On a Saturday afternoon the barman was alone and as we just ordered a queue formed itself so we waited a while until we got our tasty food. But it was worth it. In terms of pricing the hotdogs are pricy and not so big (in average 80NOK). read more

We bought drinks and shortly there after their fire alarm went off. A member of the staff told us to go outside and that we could bring our drinks. We did and waited patiently for them to figure out the fire alarm problem. Suddenly a member of the staff came and SNATCHED our drinks and said that it wasn't okay to bring drinks outside and that we had to buy new ones!! We confronted them with it and they just said we had to buy new drinks. Super frustrating. After arguing with the staff for a long time they finally agreed to give us a small drink because, quote, "we had probably already drunk most of the drink". Super bad service. Only good thing was the bouncer who agreed with us. Avoid! read more
