It's a shame that zero stars isn't an option.... Please save yourself the time and money and do not consider going to this salon. from the second i walked in it was a disaster. my friend and i were picking out our color because we were getting dip polish. we hadn't even picked out our color, when he took the color wheel and made us go sit down. we kinda just went with it because we thought it would be fine. I sat down and the guy started on my dip polish immediately. my friend was getting her cuticles cut and my guy totally skipped that step which made me so mad because that's my favorite part of it all. I decided not to complain yet because I was like OK two strikes we're not at three yet so it's fine. I don't know if the guy had no idea what he was doing or if he never had done dip polish before, but he literally had to redo four of my nails and I kid you not like 13 times. I was clearly getting frustrated because I was making faces and my friend knew that I was getting upset but I was just letting him fix it because obviously I didn't want to walk out of there with my nails looking like poop. He would have to use that intense filing thing that they use when you get acrylics to take the dip polish off because finger nail polish didn't work. He had to take the polish off so many times that he was literally burning through my nails with the mechanical tool. It got to the point where I had to keep jerking my hands because I literally thought he was going to saw through to the other side. mind you, while he was redoing the four nails he kept messing up, he kept putting coats on all my other nails for whatever reason. At this point the nails that weren't that bad got really bad because they had like seven coats on them. Like I can actually count centimeters thick of polish on my nails. my friends nail tech kept telling my nail tech that he was doing it incorrectly and he just kept sawing right through my nails. at this point I knew I definitely was not tipping and I was really tempted to walk out but I am a better person than that. My friend ended up getting done like 15 minutes before me because her nail tech wasn't redoing everything a one of her nails. So she got a hand massage with lotion after hers were done. Once my guy finally decided he was done working on my nails I didn't even get a massage. But guess what? I paid the same Flippin price as her. I paid $40 for half the treatment that she got and some shitty ass nails. I was really looking forward to going to the salon because I've heard good things about it. I also heard we were offered complementary drinks and snacks and I was not once questioned if I was hungry or thirsty. everything I was told about this place is the opposite of the experience that I had had. I do not recommend it if you can pick literally any other salon in Morgantown I recommend that you do so. Thank you for your time and I'm going to go rip my dip polish off now. read more

I stopped in to get my nails touched up, because some of the tips were chipped. I assumed they would just apply the chrome powder over the chipped areas, because otherwise my nails looked as good as the day I had them done (and honestly the chips were probably only noticeable to me). She completely started from scratch, gave me a complete manicure, gel and chrome finish, and then wouldn't let me pay! I expected maybe not to pay for touch-ups, but for a complete redo I was more than willing to pay. I pleaded, but she still refused. She wouldn't even accept a tip--I had to put cash on her table and run out of there so she wouldn't give it back. Because of this customer service encounter, their larger than average variety of options (gel, powder, glow in the dark, chrome, ...), and overall great work, I will definitely continue going there. read more

Pretty satisfied with this experience. I'm getting my nails done for graduation and the tech Aton was super patient and helpful. I don't do nails a lot and he took the time explain and make sure I'm satisfied with the design and the shape. The whole set was like $70 ($55 for ombré and $1 for each stone and I got $5 discount) and I'm pretty satisfied the result! Turns out great! I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Absolutely terrible. This is the worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life. I asked for regular white acrylic nails, after the nail tech asked me 3 different times if I would like gel, I said NO regular acrylic assuming she would understand I would like acrylic nails painted white. She then put powder dip on my nails without telling me. I went to pay and instead of my total being $30 they charged me $45 because I didn't specify I wanted my acrylics painted so she did what she felt like. I'm on the fence here between a 3 and a 4.So, here's the thing-- WV Nail Spa is conveniently located, nice staff, and good prices. The issue is that the staff is hit or miss and while they do a good job, you may not always get exactly what you asked for. Case and point-- I asked for rounded nails without any point at the tip. My nails look lovely, but there is definitely some pointy-ness to 'em. Solid place. I go every two weeks. Can't complain. Still missing my nail tech from ABQ and NYC. Oh well. read more

I get my nails done every week at home in Massachusetts and get gel polish and only pay $25. I am visiting a friend and called this place to make my appointment for the two of us and was promised that gel color would be $25. My friend and I arrive and picked our colors, which didn't look the same on our hands as they did on the color wheel. The woman cut my cuticles, and poorly filed my nails. She got polish all over my skin, and I had to ask her to fix three different finger nails that she messed up the polish on. I figured that it wasn't worth fighting over for $25 and decided to fix it on my own at home. I go to the register to pay and am told that I owe her $35. I questioned her, telling her that I was told it would be $25. She claimed it was $35 because of the manicure features I received, which were dismal at best. I regret not going to my usual guy at home. I caution anyone going here to go someplace else that charges the same steep price, but atleast does a good job. So I've been going to another local salon in the area for over 5 years now. I became frustrated when I was being rushed through and the quality was lacking. I found WV nails on here and decided to give them a try. Well let me tell you, I will be a returning customer. Everyone was so nice. The nail tech took the time to tell me what he was doing and make sure that the shape and length suited me. Often I feel like at other salons they get angry when you want a different shape or shorter nails Not here, they were more than happy to make sure I was getting what I wanted. My nail tech took his time with shaping my nails and using the grinders, making sure to not cut me. Even though he took his time, I was still in and out in 50 minutes. They have snacks and drinks if you have to wait too! Also they do not care if you pay in card and do not push paying in cash, like other salons do which I feel is kind of sketchy. So, I went to get my SNS nails removed yesterday, and then I got just a regular manicure after they were removed. The polish is already smudged and messed up. I've never gone to a salon to get a regular manicure, and had them not use a UV light to set the polish. The tech seemed like he just wanted to get rid of me. My nails weren't filed straight, he kept sighing out of annoyance when a new customer came in, and I almost felt guilty for even asking him to do my nails for me, AND I'M PAYING HIM! 1st off I wanted to say thank you to Tracy & Quynh for taking me last min. I was in Morgantown for business & stumbled across this shop & wanted to pamper myself for a mani & pedi. Mind you they have no idea I own a successful hair salon. With this being said I tend to look for services & environmental within their facility. Tracy & Quynh the owner are very easy to talk to & they both made me feel comfortable during my service. I've been to other shops near by in the past but didn't get the satisfaction because lack of services & sanitation issues. When I look them up on Yelp they only have 2 reviews & 3stars which took me by surprise. I ask them later on & they told me they took over an existing nail shop prior. They took over in 2014 but they we're surprised that they only have 2 reviews vs more they mentioned. I look into it & found out they definitely had lots of good reviews but somehow got filtered out. I think they deserve 5stars or more in my experience. I highly recommend trying them 1 time then you will be hooked cuz they give amazing service. Like I mentioned before I own a successful salon so I know what success feels like so I'm not surprised they will do well it's just a matter of time until people finds this hidden gem in Morgantown. I moved to Morgantown 2 years ago and I'm not kidding when I say I've tried every nail salon around and not one of them compared to the ones I went to in Pittsburgh. I finally found WV nail spa and I couldn't be happier. They are amazing. Literally the only place in town that does perfect pink and whites. The girls who work here are so pleasant and even remember you after one visit which is huge to me. During the manicure, my skin was ripped and bleeding. The booth I received my manicure was not cleaned and there were shellac dust all over the table- highly unsanitary and unprofessional. I got SNS done to my nails here and was excited to try something new. It cost $40. This is supposed to stay on my nails and last for about a month. Two days after I got this done, over half of my nails chipped and came off. I called the salon to tell them that I needed them to fix this because it had only been two days, and it's supposed to last a month. They said ok and I made the appointment in between classes. When I got there, they took me and began fixing it. Halfway through getting my nails fixed, I was told I have to pay $40 again. I argued that they said they would fix this and it chipped in two days when it was supposed to last 4 weeks, and I wasn't paying. They informed me I had to and they weren't going to budge about it. So, I told them to take it off of my nails and I will not be paying nor will I ever come back. Their service is below average and they do not take responsibility for a mistake that may have been made. When something is supposed to last a month and comes off in 2 days, the fix should be on the salon and they should be happy to do so, in order to ensure I return next time. That will not be the case, and I don't believe anyone should go to this salon when there are far better ones in this area, that treat their customers better. read more

Terrible experience. Got there at 1pm they told me to wait 20-25 minutes. They finally got to me at 2:45!!! The only reason I waited was because I NEEDED a pedicure. The guy did my nails as fast as he could and did a terrible job. I realized my toenails had bubbles in the polish. I told them and they tried to put more polish on top and made it worse. I have been going to WV Nails so years now! The ladies are always friendly and respectful to their clients. As of 3/9/2017, I will no longer be a customer! I had recently have my acrylic nails filled in and was excited about my new color for St. Patrick's Day! Since the full my ring finger nails have been hurting me so I go back to WV Nails so they can remove my acrylic nail completely. I believe her name is Quinn was very rude! Her and Tracy were speaking their native language and I know they were talking about me. I have been taught that customers are always right so I don't understand the big deal but I will not longer be a customer and all my friends that I recommend to go are no longer as well. I have no words for this nail salon....I went in on Friday to get SNS on my nails (which is supposed to last 3-4 weeks) and my nails had chipped the next day. then on Monday all my nails had chipped so bad that I had to try to take them off on my own. I later called WV nails and asked them if they would fix my nails because all of them were broken and the man on the phone said yes. So I went in today which is Thursday and they looked at my nails and proceeded to re due them. More then 1/2 way through the process the man in charge told me that he was going to charge me 40$ again and I said for what? He told me since I was getting them all fixed he wanted to charge me full price, which is ridiculous because they are the ones who messed up my nails and had already agreed to fix them ALL. We argued back and forth and he kept on saying I had to pay 40$ so when I had enough I said take them off and he was still arguing me with so I said it a final time and they finally agreed to take the stupid things off. WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon In morgantown. I don't understand how someone could be so unprofessional especially when your entire industry involves customer service.
