She, like the atmosphere she chose and made- is professional, safe, kind, clean, and she's good at what she does. She knows how things connect and how to release the built-up cortisol. She finds and works out knots I didn't know I had. She communicates and lets you know you matter and works on what you need. I had a wonderful experience with her personal training sessions. She is down to earth and unlike any other fitness coach I have met. She was realistic, organized, punctual, readily available, encouraging, flexible, and informative. Amanda knows her stuff. There were times in the beginning, when I started eating the way she suggested and I started freaking out feeling like it was unmanageable but she would talk me through it and I came through the experience with a much better understanding of food. I finally, after 44 years, feel at peace with food without tracking and counting calories. No longer do I obsess over certain foods. Amanda teaches you what your body needs (and it isn't cutting entire food groups out). She taught me awesome weight lifting exercises and body strength exercises too. What she taught me I can use at home or any gym. She didn't lead me on trying to hook me into buying more sessions - she simply taught, gave me copies of what she taught, and moved on to the next session. She explained a lot about stretching, taking care of your body after workouts, and more. Amanda delivered everything promised and more. I walked away with a new understanding of how to fuel my body, without going hungry, and what the best workouts are. She kicked my butt in the gym but was encouraging the entire time - she made me want to push myself but not in a mean way. Her gym is awesome - everything you need to get fit. I can't say enough good things about Amanda. I would highly recommend her. She is very personable and friendly yet professional. Definitely a good personal trainer for any age or gender. After over a year in her "care", I left and my new pcp diagnosed me with EHLERS-Danlos Syndrome​. I just found out dr allen also has EDS. Thus this review. She assumed I was overweight bc i was too lazy to exercise, so she kept telling me I needed to take daily walks and build up my muscles even tho I constantly told her some days I can't get out of bed and with my very limited amount of energy and pain level, adding more activity would only make my life more difficult to manage.​ it was like talking to a wall and knowing now she has the same disease and was so dismissive is infuriating. I have been grieving the loss of some of my favorite activities: biking, hiking and generally walking everywhere. I have stopped bc of the toll they take on me not bc I am lazy. When I said I'd had some shortness of breath not long after the pandemic, she said "it's probably your weight" and changed the subject. I have a history of blood clots and found out later shortness of breath could be a symptom of a deadly clot in the lungs. That is neglect!. Even after things had been open from the pandemic for months, she still only did video visits and never once saw me in person. One of the worst MDs I've ever had.

I never felt that the other doctor truly cared after I suffered 4 miscarriages, the last ending in a tubal pregnancy that nearly killed me! I am partial to natural remedies already and after being dissatisfied with the former doctor and the care I began to research alternatives on the insurance website. To my surprise, there were two naturalpaths to choose from and Dr. Allen's credentials and experience matched what I was looking for. I call and am able to speak to someone, either the doctor or reception at least, the same day and both are extremely compassionate and friendly. I have always been able to see Dr. Allen quickly even during the epidemic where she is seeing patients through telehealth only. She has a very professional system in place to serve clients and I will never go to any other doctor as I have found my forever care here! And spent 45 min with me for each apt. That's unheard of for us medical providers. We rarely have time. They went over my extensive history. Looked at all my medications and made a full map of my life in two sessions. I've never felt better health wise. Every day I get more energetic, and I am starting to feel like myself again. For instance, insomnia, weight gain, irritability, etc., that I have been dealing with for years. I heard about pellet therapy and got an appt. Nancy educated me about it more, and we talked about all the other options and decided on pellet therapy. I am SO GLAD I did it! The procedure was easy, and within a few hours of getting the pellets, I started to feel better. Here is what I have noticed. It was subtle at first and then got better over several days. The night I got the pellets, I noticed a calmness come over me that I had not felt in years. Previously, I lived with near-constant irritation, almost like being in a permanent state of PMS for the last few years. The smallest life disruptions would stress me out very quickly. That irritation feeling fell away within a few hours of getting the pellets. I also slept much better, and that continues. Usually, I would only get about 4 hours of sleep at night and then be wide awake again, often due to back pain. Now I am sleeping about 6 hours instead of 4 and more soundly.
