We came in for lunch on a Friday. We were seated immediately by the host/waiter. This is a fairly small restaurant, but surprisingly not crowded. After looking at the menu I decided to get the beef pho. Its been my experience with other places that the bowls are large. My wife said she would split it if there was a lot. She ordered the vegetable rolls. The pho came in a very large bowl, so we shared it. The broth had a very nice flavor and there were plenty of noodles and meat. The meal came with lime, beans sprouts, jalapeño slices, basil, and hoisen sauce. I finished my half of it and I was done. What a lovely, local mom and pop restaurant. Ordered the egg rolls, Massaman and pad Thai and all were delicious. I'd say on par with southern Thai restaurants where I'm from (Southern CA) and really just a nice change from the burgers and bar type fare in the area. Do wish there was a bit more protein in the dishes but the portions, especially the pad Thai, are very generous. The employees that work here are incredibly kind provided such wonderful service. We had been traveling on vacation for over a week, and were tired of the burger scene, so had to go for Thai food. The decor on the inside of the restaurant isn't much, but the portions are huge! We could've easily have split one meal and still had leftovers. The food was good, but keep in mind you're trying to get Thai food in Wyoming so there's that. Yum!!! Thankfully stumbled across this gem in Cody. They have a few outdoor seats and it's a trailer with a window. The woman was so funny and nice when I couldn't decide what I wanted. I ended up with Pad See Ew with BBQ Pork. It was really flavorful, had a MASSIVE portion, and was affordable. I personally probably wouldn't get the bbq beef again because it was sweet and I don't love sweet/salty combos but do NOT hesitate to go here. I must go back so I can try their curry. read more

Good food! They said they were waiting on some items to be delivered so some things were not available to order. Such as their chicken satay and garden rolls. We were able to place an order to go for Thai iced tea, the pad Thai noodles with tofu, broccoli beef, drunken noodle, yellow curry, white rice, and the Tom yum soup. All were yummy and I think our total was around $80. Fast and friendly service. Once our food was ready to be picked up, we checked and every was correct. I would definitely recommend this place! Ignore many of the older reviews which reference a trailer, etc. - they moved into a permanent building. We had lunch here this past week. Chicken satay ($14) was four good-sized skewers of chicken with peanut dipping sauce. Broccoli beef ($17) was enjoyed by co-diners. Came with a side of white rice. The massaman was fairly flavorless; it had a serious need for more basil and spice but had a good foundation. They were out of spring rolls but their dumplings were interesting. Really good chicken pad thai here. Friendly service and large portion sizes. One entree could easily make two meals. Also, their pineapple fried rice is quite good. Some places' boba is liquid with ice plus the pearls. Some places' boba is more of a milkshake-type texture plus the pearls. This place's boba is more of the latter. Try the taro flavor. Made from a root vegetable, it's not typical of American food, but the flavor is that of a birthday cake milkshake! Overall, I have never been disappointed once by Wy Thai, and I don't have anything negative to say. Just A+ food. read more

Wow!!! I mean wow! First of all I love the quaint walk up and order at the window. It's no fuss, picnic seating. We ordered Pad Thai, Fried Rice, Dumplings, Pad Ka Prau, and drunken noodles. We are originally from San Diego where we have many Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino and Thai restaurants available to us. And because we have such an immigrant community the Asian food is darn good! Wy Thai is fabulous! The food is as legit Thai food as I've had in San Diego. The yelp photos looked good and really it all came out hot and good! Portions were huge! We easily will feed our family for 2-3 meals with 3 dishes and dumplings. I can't wait to go back! Wy Thai is a hidden gem in Cody. I came here with some friends and it was convenient from our hotel so we just walked. When you walk up, it's unassuming because there are picnic tables and the kitchen is a double wide trailer where you order from the window and take your order to go. I ordered their Tom Kha soup and everyone else ordered Pad Thai. Two of my friends are vegetarians and they said their pad thai were delicious. Another friend also ordered satay chicken, which was amazing!! My soup was absolutely delicious and I was delighted by all the flavors. The other two friends ordered pork pad thai and beef pad thai, which they also raved about. The portions are huge, especially for the money. Some couldn't finish their food and were going to make it their lunch the next day, but the youngin in our group ate it as if he had a straw (he's 23 so it's expected). Before you read my review, you should know this about me: 1. I'm a southern Californian born in Taiwan. 2. I've lived in north Orange County all my life minus the four years I spent in UT for college. 3. I love to eat, and refuse to eat anything I don't think taste good. REFUSE. 4. I don't mind spending money to eat well. 5. My parents owned two sandwich shops while I was growing up. I worked there as a kid, through college and beyond, so I'm a big fan of mom and pop shops. We were driving through Wyoming and after a VERY long stop because of construction, we were starving. I didn't want traditional "American" food, so we Yelped. We ordered two dishes: pad see ew and Pad thai. They were both absolutely delicious...at first. The noodles were a little too saucy and the sauce was too salty. We couldn't finish our dishes though we really wanted to. There is no place to sit. This is not a sit down establishment. We happen to be there on a beautiful day in June, and they do have benches where you have to set up the umbrella yourself (???). We wiped everything off with baby wipes so we didn't have to eat in our car. I hope to never have to go through Cody again, but if I do, I think I just might give the traditional "American" food a chance. Trying to find ethnic food around here that is solid is considerably harder than worht the effort. read more

And that is not to say anything about getting to voice what is the best name of a Thai restaurant in America. I get the green curry with chicken and park pad Thai. I bring it home and eat it for days. Food is made to order and, along with the small kitchen, you can expect to wait, especially if the Thais working at Lake Yellowstone Hotel are here ahead of you. The restaurant is a trailer and we need to walk up to the window to order. A few benches to sit and eat. Not sure how clean they are and decided to take out. Food is really really good. I hear they just pulled into town for the summer, and word of mouth is making this railroad container the hottest picnic table in town. My drunken noodles were delicious and I originally thought kind of pricey until I got the box that weighed over a pound. I have to give 5 stars for the overtly friendly and apologetic owner who offered me a free beer for my wait. This probably won't happen to you so don't expect it.
