I hear they just pulled into town for the summer, and word of mouth is making this railroad container the hottest picnic table in town. My drunken noodles were delicious and I originally thought kind of pricey until I got the box that weighed over a pound. I have to give 5 stars for the overtly friendly and apologetic owner who offered me a free beer for my wait. This probably won't happen to you so don't expect it. Wy Thai was fantastic. It's something you might not expect by looking at the building, however they make some fantastic dishes, their staff is super friendly! It's kinda like a take out. We didnt realise this when we looked it up on Yelp. We saw the reviews and just drove there. It has two tables (picnic bench style) outside under the trees. The lady that works there is very friendly. The food was very good. It was a hot day when we visited, so it was a little inconvenient to sit outside and eat. But the food kinda made it up, we had ordered a yellow curry and a bubble tea and they were both very good. Overall, food is a delight. I would be eating there again if I'm in town. My dad learned to enjoy and cook curry in Thailand and Indonesia in 1954. if I could afford it, I'd have a Thai lady living in my basement to cook every meal except I'd also have a Mexican woman to cook on the weekends. You might not expect it, but this little drive-though place is amazing. We were working in the area and decided to take a chance on the place for lunch. I was expecting a very limited menu, but they had everything you would find at a much larger restaurant, AND it was REALLY GOOD! There are 2 Thai restaurants in the Cody area. Only ONE has Pad See Ew (or Phat si-io) with wide rice noodles fried in seasoned soy sauce. In larger cities you can get the thick and wide fresh-cut noodles, that give the dish the classic crispy-chewy that is a true Pad See Ew. Unfortunately, there isn't a single Asian grocery in all of Wyoming, so understandably Wy Thai uses the thinner dry noodles. No crispy edges. It does, however, have a few fermented soy beans, much to my delight. The dish is nicely spiced, and vegetarians will be pleased that tofu is an option, and there isn't an overbearing dose of nam pla. Pad Thai is sweet with a sprinkle of crushed peanut, Basil Fried Rice has just enough fresh basil to perfume the dish, the flavor between a fried rice and savory sticky rice...minus the stickiness. Crab Rangoon is outstanding. Prices are high considering that there is no indoor seating or waiting, but portion size is generous. Choose a Boba (smoothie with tapioca balls) made with fresh fruit, or pass. The summer ones with seasonal fresh fruit are fabulous. When available, watermelon is a must. You'll walk up a few steps to the window to order. Peek in the window and you'll see cramped quarters that are clean and well organized. Call ahead or wait in your car or sit at the picnic table in the parking lot. You are always greeted with a smile, and they are happy to make dishes spicier or milder. Food is quickly prepared and will be piping hot. Even though chopsticks aren't traditionally used in Thailand, they will be provided if requested. Otherwise each order receives individually wrapped forks. The historical dearth (or even acceptance)of any kind of ethnicity or diversity in Cody and the surrounding areas is legendary... except during tourist season. The fact that this is a year round operation is something to be grateful for. In my opinion, it's hard to go wrong with this place when you want something other than a burger and fries to take back to your hotel or home. read more

The BOMB! I order here at least once a week. Always fast and friendly, and so delicious. My go to is the red curry with tofu, but I have never had anything bad from this place. It's a take-out operation, so don't expect to come and sit (unless you would like to sit outside at the picnic tables) but so convenient for when you just want something to take home after work. Huge, and I mean HUGE portions. You could eat off one of their noodle dishes for days. I just love this place and I'm so happy they are in Cody now. read more

My husband and I ordered takeout tonight and we were pleasantly surprised by not only great flavor and good Thai food but the amount of food that they give you is huge! They make their food with a spice level of three but we asked for a "four" so it was very spicy but still good. I have since had more experiences with the food at WY Thai and it just gets better all the time. I learned their system of rating spiciness---1 to 5, with 5 being the spiciest---and knowing that, I can now fine tune my order exactly how I want it. If you are in Cody Wy,this thai is fantastic. Location can be missed if you are not mapping it. It located like a driveway with a sign but it looks like a residential space. This is a takeout restaurant. The pad thai was delicious. I also ordered pineapple fried rice, beef and broccoli were flavorable. The drunken noodle was good too but it was not spicy but I wasn't sure if it was my fault asking if the beef and broccoli was spicy because I didnt want it spicy for my kids.
