I recently changed dentists and I was advised to go see Dr Simons, a dental specialist as they felt I needed a root canal. Just the thought of a root canal sent me into shock - I had only heard scary things about it. Dr Simons assured me that I would feel zero pain. Throughout the procedure, he elaborated on what he was doing, he even has a flat screen on the ceiling so the patient can look (I didn't, too scared). But, as a result, I left after a couple of hours tops, and I have had ZERO pain, nada, ninete, none! The tooth was sore after getting beat up a bit, but no pain. I could eat and floss like normal. WOW, where do I begin?! I got a really bad toothache 4 days ago and couldn't bear it anymore. I reached out to Dr. Simons who was AMAZING!!! He got me in to see him on the same day within 3 hours. His staff was even more phenomenal which they reached out to me as sent me all my new patient paperwork to fill out before getting there to save time. They ran my insurance and gave me costs ahead of time as they wanted me to be aware. Dr. Simons team did a 3D Scan and found the area of my concern, #18 and #19. Dr. Simons then came in and reviewed everything with me in terms of what he anticipated was the problem. He is a very knowledgeable and amazing person with a lot of experience. He let me know his thoughts and where the pain and issue might be. He ran some tests and confirmed that I need a root canal where my fillings had been infected due to my wisdom teeth. We further spoke and he took his time explaining everything to me and what the procedure would entail. He then said he can do it now and felt afterwards that I would be 100% back to normal. I said lets do it, first off, every dentist experience I have had has been horrible but he took his time to numb me, he did it slowly, methodically and kept me informed each step of the way. He was able to get me numb to where I didnt feel anything, the drilling, the cleaning and everything he was doing, I was perfectly calm and pain free. He also has a screen mounted on the ceiling where you can look at what he is doing on your tooth while the procedure is going on, pretty cool. Furthermore, his assistant Bethann(sorry if I misspelled it) was so nice and accommodating. She helped Dr. Simons and made sure I was ok during the procedure and after it. Lets just say the moment the procedure was done, I was pain free and it felt amazing. Dr. Simons even gave me his personal cell to call him after hours if anything occurs and he himself would call me at 8pm to check up on me and confirm all is well, who does that?! Today, one day after the procedure, I can eat and drink like normal and I cannot thank Dr. Simons enough, you truly are a miracle worker and I hope I don't have to see you again but if I do, I know where to go. read more
