Woke up in the morning the other day where we had no water in our home. After reviewing both Google and Yelp reviews for well contractors in the area we settled on Wyckoff Well Drilling based on all the positive reviews where Google is a 5 star average! I called the business at 7:30 am, a time that most businesses of this nature were closed and was surprised to reach a human voice on the other end end. Seeing that we were literally out of water and in a lurch the owner, Robert, was able to juggle his full schedule and was get to our house less than an hour after contacting him. Upon arrival Robert was able to quickly diagnose our issue as a failed pressure switch and had parts on hand to effect the repair all within an hours timeframe. The service call with labor and parts came to $140 which was very very reasonable in my mind. I truly expected it to be much more due to all the price gouging I have seen in this area in the past and definately did not expect to be up and running again within 2 hours of my original call. Nice! Throughout the process Robert and his grandson Trevor were super friendly and explained what was going on throughout the process showing great patience with my questions as he went about the business of the repair. During the repair process he identified that the pressure switch had failed as a result of my 35 year old pressure tank being near end of useful life where the bladder was clearly starting to fail. He explained to me that we could get a few more years out of my old tank but the tradeoff was that my well pump which is also 35 years old was getting cycled way more than it should which could lead to a an earlier failure of that key component which would be a much more expensive repair on the order of $3500. At no point did he pressure me to replace the pressure tank but instead provided key data/information I needed to make an informed decision all the while stating I could push this tank replacement off maybe a couple more years. Being a retired engineer I appreciated both his honesty and candor where he presented the facts/data which is the way all contractors should act and most dont and let me make up my own mind where I decided to proceed with the replacement of the pressure tank in order to extend the life of my old more expensive well pump which he did two days later. No over the top pressure tactics here and the usual scare tactics that contractors like use. Again nice! Overall I was completely satisfied with the work he did on my well system and how he handled his business. Reasonable cost, first class work and a friendly demeanor are hard to beat in my book and I will definately contacting him for any well issues I have in the future. Five stars in my book. read more

We flushed only to find that we had no water pressure! Bob helped me troubleshoot over the phone then sent Trevor over within an hour. Trevor was great! He went above and beyond to help us fix the problem even though it was bigger than we originally thought. The price was reasonable too. I highly recommend these guys! read more

With an unexpected loss of water after a power outage, we called several plumbers, non could come on a Saturday. But one suggested it be the well & recommended Wyckoff. Bob answered & quickly agreed to come over after a job. He came On Time, immediately set to work, quickly diagnosed the problem (ancient pump) replaced it and we had water in less than 2 hours! Horrible. Where do I even start with this guy. Kept my family and I waiting for almost 2 weeks, held us hostage blocking us in with his large well-drilling truck. Wouldn't answer his phone, left us hanging day after day. Damaged our well trying to remove the pump, told us we had to drill a new well, in a location that was under our deck, and had to remove our A/C unit, and tear up our deck. County inspector came out in 1 day, told us we had a 20'x40' area we could use. Finally realized he was untrustworthy, new guy came out in 1 day, fixed the "unfixable" well, put in a new pump, in 2 hrs of work. read more

When I awoke on Monday July 8, 2019 I found I had "0" water pressure. I found Wyckoff Well Drilling/Repair on-line and called a few minutes before the listed start of business hours of 7am. Bob Wyckoff answered the phone and I said "HELP" I have no water and Bob said they would be out to check and repair it between 10 and 11am. Bob and his assistant arrived at 9:30am and immediately determined I needed a new pump. In removing the pump, which turned out to have a massive leak because the line was separated and it actually broke apart and I was in jeopardy of requiring a completely new well to be drilled. However, being the "OLD PRO" that he is Bob devised a way to retrieve the broken off bottom part of the well access tube, including the pump itself, and saved the day by extracting out everything and then installing a new pump and getting me back in business in about 2 hours or so. Bob is an expert at his craft and he saved the day for me and I highly recommend that anyone requiring a new well to be drilled or an old one to be repaired call this highly qualified "PRO" because you will be very glad you did!!!! Started having low pressure surges on my water pressure and phoned a bunch of well companies off of Yelp and left messages in the late afternoon. One did phone back right away and I scheduled them to come out the next morning. However the real eye opener was the people at Wyckoff calling me about and hour after I had scheduled the other company and walking me through a quick diagnostic over the phone. He asked me to turn on the water and then give him information from the pressure gauge as the pump cycled. He pretty much told me that I needed a new pressure tank and gave me an estimate on the spot. As an engineer, the diagnosis that he provided over the phone made perfect sense, and I told him that I had already scheduled another company. This gentleman was extremely polite and professional and I told him I felt bad not giving him the business because of the other scheduling. He told me to keep him in mind for next time. Pretty cool in these times of only getting to speak to an answering service. Call this company first, as we are still awaiting the "other" company who is now an hour late from the time they stated they would be here! read more

We suddenly had no water, just completely stopped coming out of all sources. I called and was called back in less than an hour, mind you it was 2 hours before their normal business day ended. Bob was there in an hour and some change, diagnosed the problem and left to get supplies. He came back and fixed our problem in less than an hour!! The price was reasonable compared to the only other company I spoke with who wanted more than I paid for the whole job per hour and couldn't help us today. I've had a better response time on messages left from dead relatives. Service is horrendous. His Sanford and Sons truck leaked hydronic fluid all over my drive way for the 4 days he let it sit there not operating. I would rather dig a 60 foot well with a wooden spoon that to deal with this company again. read more

I have had 2 wells at 2 different houses installed by Bob. Fast service and fair prices. My newest well was put in last month and I have incredible water pressure and great quality water. There smaller older truck made less damage to my lawn than other wells that others have gotten. I would Highly recommend them to anyone in the Commerce area. read more

I had Bob out to service my well with a new pump, etc about 5 years ago. NOW I have a bad check valve, and with the pump 175 ft down, he didn't install a $38 backup check valve! I had no idea! Now I had to have the pump pulled again, with a truck in my backyard that tore up my yard this spring. The NEW company not only installed a new check valve on the pump, but two backup check valves as well! Almost burnt up my pump before I discovered it. $600 poorer, and my back yard is a disaster, because Wyckoff didn't install any backup check valves! Avoid this one like the plague... read more

We had a full house system with carbon filter installed less than 2 years ago. BOY WAS I WRONG TO EVER USE THEM!!!! I have had NOTHING but issues from the beginning, my water is SO foul I actually can't describe it. We had them come back out, with a million excuses! It was the hot water tank rod, no it was that it needed a new filter, no it needed to be backwashes more, etc. After all of these issues, we have had to replace our carbon filter every 2 weeks (6 month filters). We have made MULTIPLE attempts at contacting Bob, he finally answered today, and told us "we went with a system too small for the house" Which is complete and total lies. How and why would I ever tell them to install something too small for my home? I had another well company come out after the failed attempts of contacting Bob, they notified me (by calling sterling the systems company) that it was the wrong system entirely. I have two small children in my home. How dangerous for them to be drinking foul water. I'm literally sick to my stomach even typing this. Absolutely the worst customer service AND work! The man, the owners son in law, who installed my system no longer works there, ironic. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER. I beg you to find anywhere else to go! read more

Glen from Wyckoff came out to look at our well and let us know what our issues were. He didn't try to pressure is into buying things we didn't need, beat the other guy's prices by leaps and bounds, and even brought over new filters...and didn't charge us for them! Not only that, but whenever we call him, he shows up at our door within hours at no charge and explains things to us so that we understand what is going on, then leaves us to research and make our decisions. We are new to the world of wells, and i HIGHLY recommend Wyckoff...particularly Glen. He is a gem! By the time he left, we were thinking of inviting him over for a BBQ in the summer to repay him for his kindness. He goes above and beyond any call of duty and is REFRESHINGLY HONEST!
