My well has been progressively failing which culminated in a complete loss of water pressure this week. The first two well service companies quoted me almost four thousand dollars to remove the old pump and clean the well, or ten thousand to drill a new well. The old pump was likely 25 years old. After a bit of run around from the first two companies I was referred to Ernest Morris Well Service. Mr. Morris responded promptly to my call, kept me updated about his arrival and made his appointment as promised. Mr. Morris exhausted every technique his team had at their disposal when my old pump got hung up in the well and broke loose from the extraction pipe. Two hours of inch-by-inch removal with his crane and the pump was finally free. My well is about 260 feet deep. The well aerator hose stopped at 180 feet. Subsequently, 80 feet of terrible looking sludge was pushed out of my well and clean water prevailed! See the attached photos! I was stunned at what came out of my well and what our water was being drawn through.
Pump replacement and cleaning cost me $2200. This was significantly less than $4000 to $10,000 I had been quoted.
I highly recommend Ernest Morris Well Service. read more
