Located along the south side of the Bow river and next to the Carseland Weir, This naturally groomed and well maintained campground has 2 Group area's, a waist station, 2 parks and many secret pathways and interesting plant life.
What capture's me the most every year is the natural basil which grows all through the park, really good for camp fire cooking. You can see Spear Grass golf course from most of the campsites which seems to balance on the 50 foot desert looking cliffs.
A short distance from the grounds is an irrigation canal were we always enjoy a good 3 hour float and finish off with an ice cream at the Parkside Ice Cream Shop. Snake hunting is abundant, the largest we have caught so far was 3 feet long.
I highly recommend this experience for active families that enjoy a diverse amount of simple and relaxing activities. read more
