It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for with the high quality brands and on-trend pieces. Their shoes and accessories are also amazing! I'm a huge online shopper, but Lit is great because they have things that I would order from Revolve, but I'm able to try them on in person. They also do weekly lives on their Instagram, which is helpful to see what the items look like on different body types! Love love love lit!

The owner and her friends were staring at us while my friend was in the fitting room trying items on (I looked back in her direction three times and every single time made eye contact with one of them staring at me), and when my friend left the fitting room, she accidentally turned the light off. Without hesitation, the owner snapped at her to leave the light on for the next customer. The whole time she didn't offer to help us at all, and when we tried to place the items we didn't want back on the rack, she immediately grabbed them from us. We said thank you to her for helping, and she didn't respond. Checking out was a similar experience. Even though we bought an item, will never come back. Microaggressions are real and leave a horrible impression on customers. It's not hard to do the bare minimum to be polite, and they missed the mark by a long shot.

The shop is a consignment shop for high end labels and some normal labels such as Ann Taylor Loft. The owner, Wendy, is nice and helpful. I mentioned that I work part time at another high end retailer and she said she used to work at Neiman's. She was really helpful and gave me a card with the hiring manager at NM. Overall, my friend and I both got some items and there was plenty more to look at! They also carry (new) accessories and Butter nail polish. Will be back!

I've always found it difficult to find suits off-the-rack, so I tend to just go bespoke. Growing up, my grandmother was a seamstress and my mom worked in a tuxedo shop for most of my childhood--I had a custom tux with tails by the time I was 4. So I'm pretty familiar with the process. I have had suits made all over the world, from the Midwest to Hong Kong. It is a dying artform. I figured that when I moved to a big city full of professionals like Boston, I wouldn't have such a tough time finding a made-to-measure place. Turns out, I was wrong. Boston is completely devoid of tailors who will make women's pantsuits. Why? I couldn't tell you. So, I frankly chose Alan because I had no other option. Was it a good decision? Yes. Alan is charming and professional. His shop has a choice location. He's very thorough. I love his dog, who is the sweetest most well-behaved animal I've seen (those with allergies be forewarned--the dog comes with the office, so medicate as necessary). His assistant is also a sweetheart. The suit took awhile to finish. Maybe 4 months altogether. But I wasn't in a rush. It fits well and I wear it on a regular basis. It came in my absolute fav garment bag. The biggest caveat is price. Suits start between $2-3k. So, while I love Alan, I'm not baller enough to fill my closet with him. If you do have that kind of cash flow, I can't recommend him highly enough.

I stopped by this Coach location with my friend while I was visiting Boston. I had seen on display…read morein the shop the Western Tabby that I had eyed a similar one months ago called the Western Cargo Tabby that has been out of stock online for months. I came inside immediately and looked at the Black and Brown models of this bag and had some conversation with workers giving advice about which color they preferred. I decided to buy the bag, and here's where everything went downhill. Because I was visiting Boston, I asked to have the bag shipped to me as I didn't want to carry it around all day and was concerned about potential theft issues. The employee who helped me check out appeared to be new so perhaps this is why he did not ask if I was a Coach Insider or had shopped with Coach before so this bag purchase was never linked to my Coach account. After paying, I went about my day when hours later I still had not received a confirmation e-mail about the purchase nor had the purchase listed in my Coach account. I was immediately concerned so I called this store and spoke with the manager who told me she was boxing it up and that sometimes it would take a while before the purchase would register in my online account. I did receive a text from the original employee who I purchased my bag with containing the tracking information and it was projected to arrive to my home in 2 days. As a result of having frequent package theft issues in my neighborhood, I requested the bag require a signature upon delivery. You can imagine my shock when after I was told this would be the case that it arrived on the steps of my apartment complex with no signature required or e-mail notification that it had been delivered. It was only pure luck that I was leaving the apartment near the time it had been dropped off that it was not stolen. The package came in a gigantic cardboard box but itself came without being wrapped in a box OR in a dust bag. It was wrapped in styrofoam sheeting with the dust bag inside the purse. What purpose did that dust bag hold if not to literally protect the purse? I felt this was such a poor customer service experience for a bag that cost upwards of $500. Lastly, to my complete shock, the bag itself came with a defect. This bag uses a belt style buckle to attach the shoulder strap to it. On one side of the belt buckle attachment, the prong itself was disfigured and also too large to fit through the holes on the shoulder strap to attach it. I had wanted to wear this bag with the shoulder strap exclusively and this completely prevented it. I had to go to another Coach location to do a defect exchange but I still have not had any further communication this with location regarding this entire experience. I would recommend traveling to the other nearby Coach in Boston instead of going to this one.
