FYI, this review is coming after a TERRIBLE experience at the Ultimate (another dress store) --- seriously, avoid that place like the plague. I couldn't have said it better myself, "non-intrusive" (as the other review on here says) is the perfect way to describe Amari. They have a great selection of dresses from popular designers and are able to order the dresses in additional sizes, colors, etc. One of the strongest selling points for me is the staff. The girls are extremely knowledgeable and helpful (even the owner can be seen running around helping). While the staff is more than happy to pull styles, different sizes, colors, etc. to make the guest happy, they are not pushy or overbearing. They will drop the dresses off in your room and give you some space while you make your decision. You never feel rushed or pressured to buy. The prices are very reasonable (the selection includes sale dresses as well as consigned dresses) and they offer discounts for dresses purchased directly off of the rack. The store itself is adorable (bright pink curtains and fun zebra prints), clean, and growing (they recently expanded). Last time I was there they had cupcakes out to snack on while you shop. The prom dress my daughter chose was absolutely gorgeous and equally as expensive. I didn't mind paying the near $500 so that her special day was magical, however one thing I would say could be worked on was the staff wasn't overly helpful or friendly. They were much more friendly when they saw that I was paying with cash and that just because I may have had a casual look didn't mean I didn't in-fact have good money to spend there. I'm a firm believer in that all people should be given the same quality customer service without preconceived judgements. read more

Ghetto looking store in the middle of old town Burlington center. Doesn't carry high end brands like sherry hill, etc. The salesgirls are really aggressive and the owner can have an attitude as well. read more

Took my daughter to Amari Prom outlet today - what a find! Great selection of dresses all organized by size made dresses easy to look at and select. The dressing rooms are plenty big to try on the dresses and the overall feeling of the store is incredibly comfortable and not at all intimidating or snooty! My daughter tried on 11 dresses and had the luxury of choosing between 3 dresses. She was thrilled! She chose her dress but wanted a different color - no problem - first she was shown the color she wanted in another style by the same designer/maker and then was able to order the dress with anticipated arrival in 2-3 weeks. Lastly, it needs a little tailoring for length and bust and when we asked, we were handed a list of numerous tailoring options. The owner is extremely knowledgeable but not overbearing, the girls working their were encouraging but not gushy. I highly recommend Amari Prom Outlet - they are great! read more

Beautiful dresses at good prices. From the outside Amari looks very small. Four of us looked at each other and then went inside. Amari is amazingly well organized and several steps above the big department stores in terms of the presentation and condition of the dresses. Each dress is in its own bag and is carefully handled by staff. The racks contain only one size and for popular sizes like 6, 8, 10 etc. There are several large racks, so there are many choices. I thought the dresses were of very good quality, made with beautiful fabrics and were well sewn dresses. The 3 long dresses that were approved ranged from $200-300. Choosing one was difficult. If you've shopped for new prom dresses you know that these prices are very good. And the Amari store is very smart. They have at least ten spacious dressing rooms with benches outside for moms (and grand moms). The entire is very well thought out and it was a pleasure to be there. Staff was very attentive to clients and to the dresses. I highly recommend you go there first. read more

My mother went into Amari on a weeknight around 5 to look for Mother of the Bride dresses after seeing on The Knot that Amari carried a certain designer she was interested in. When she walked in there were two girls standing at the counter, one who kindly greeted her. She noted that there was not one other person in the shop, and when she told the girls what she was looking for she was told that they could not help her because she did not have an appointment and the Mother of the Bride dresses are in the downstairs portion of the store. This would have been fine, except, she felt that one of the salesgirls (the "non greeter") was pretty rude and loudly drinking an ice coffee through a straw and seemed peeved that she came in without the appointment. Honestly, I have never written a yelp review but my mother felt she was treated so rudely and especially when there was not another soul in the store and the sales girls seemed bothered she would dare show up without an appointment, I felt a review was necessary. Luckily for her she found a beautiful Mother of the Bride dress at Gianna's in Stoneham, and raved about their amazing customer service. read more

Amari Prom Outlet recently opened a location in Burlington MA and I went there this afternoon with my daughter in search of a junior prom dress. What a delightful experience we had. The shop has a good selection of dresses and the staff was extremely helpful, yet non-intrusive. They helped us pick out dresses but left us alone while we made our decisions. When I had questions about fit, the girls brought over the owner to take a look. They didn't try to push jewelry, bags, or shoes on us. All-in-all, I would recommend Amari Prom Outlet to anyone in search of a prom dress. It made prom dress shopping stress-free. read more

Defintely agree about the customer service! They are so nice, patient and helpful and high quality fabrics. Unfortunately still range from $200 and up with over $300 being the average which is the only reason I could not give 5 stars. Great experience at Amari. Good selection of dresses and they can order many if they don't have your size. The dressing rooms are roomy and well lit and the dresses were well cared for. I have gone to some other prom stores in the area and the dresses were missing zippers, had pulled seems and looked beat. When we did not find the perfect dress ourselves, Emily asked my daughter what she liked and came back with 3 dresses we had not seen. The winner was in a smaller size than my daughter was looking for but Emily said she had a feeling it would be a perf Ct fit. So happy and thankful that we took the trip to Amari's in Burlington (from Mansfield). After 2 days of shopping in Fall River at boutiques with unhelpful staff, over-the-top prices, and a chaotic dress display that left us deflated and hostile (both mother and daughter) we tried Amari's. The staff there were helpful, friendly and non-competitive. It was a rotation of smiling, cheerful staff members offering help with size changes and dress alternatives from their "hand picked" inventory. My daughter found numerous "maybe" dresses before picking "THE" dress. We will be back for senior prom!!. read more

we came from the south shore to see about this place for prom after finding it on line and reading the yelp reviews. let's face it: prom dress prices are not what they used to be merely a few years ago, but this place had dresses in a better average price range than most other shops. the quality was decent, and we were able to find one that my daughter liked a lot that made it in right at 300.00. we have been to at least 4 other places, and we could not find much under 400.00. they had great customer service-a good energy in the staff. we will recommend this to friends. read more
