I came to help for the first time and I can't say enough nice things about this campground. The bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen, they have multiple private locking rooms with showers and toilets and due to the fact I didn't plan ahead I got a spot on the side right by the street (which I believe is a busy one) and I still didn't hear a single noise. They also have laundry on site in the building with the multiple private bathrooms/shower rooms which requires a keycard to gain access so that's great extra security! I would come in at 10pm and felt like I was making the most noise because the campground is that quiet. I HIGHLY recommend this place and when I bring my wife back to see Cheyenne I'm staying no other place! I'm guessing it's a family ran campground because the daughter recognized my friend who booked it at the Frontier Days and checked in on us and asked how everything was going! Great experience! Would give more stars if possible!

Well, where we are from we don't have mosquitoes by our lakes! Just not a nice person at all, could care a less if you were there at all. Then we parked and set up and waited till it cooled off to 89 degrees, lol, to get in hot tub and unfortunately it was 109 degrees and they had a chlorine floater under the lid making the hot tub completely unusable! Please do your research on chlorine floater in hot tubs-- not good for you. Plus we wanted to soak not get cooked. We turned it down for the next night but the controls did not work , neither did the jets! Guess what they said they would look at it, but you can still get in it !?! What?? Burns, off gassing yeah no thanks. There was also a big fight between the live ins and watched people get kicked out after 8pm! And the live in guy right next to us came in each night between 9:30 and 10:00 pm and turned on his big bulb blinding string lights 10 ft from our bedroom window and left them on all night!!! Why? Leaving Fort Collins, head West on hwy 14... past the little community of Poudre Canyon... past…read moreMishawaka... past so many other campgrounds that you finally start to wonder if you'll end up in Laramie, WY... ...and then FINALLY you'll hit Kelly Flats. Don't worry, it's worth it. Kelly Flats Campground is located 35 miles west of Fort Collins in the Poudre Canyon. Of the 29 available sites, most are either right on the river or a mere few steps away. It's low enough to wade and tube in the late-fall, but it is COLD. Bring your fishing pole... you might just catch yourself a delicious trout! The campground host keeps the bathrooms IMMACULATE, which is a huge bonus. No spiders! Most of the bathrooms are wheelchair ready. Almost all the sites are car/RV/trailer accessible, but there are six that are walk-in tent-only. Not surprisingly, these six boast the best spots on the river. They're also a bit more secluded. Even so, the other sites are spaced well enough apart so the slightly rowdy won't step on the toes of the family campers (or vice versa!). It's a great set-up. Dogs are welcome, but need to be tied up at your campground. They're free to frolic down by the river, though! Site 10 (walk-in) has a cool little "swimming pool" of river rocks built up... and it's probably really nice during the early summer months when the river's a bit higher. All sites have picnic tables and fire grates. You can buy wood from the camp host for $7 a bundle, but I recommend getting it at the Conoco in town for half the price. There isn't much to gather at the campground. One thing to note: there are TONS of yellowjackets. I don't know if it's because we camped late in the season, but those buggers were aggressive and mean. And EVERYWHERE. You'd be smart to pack one or two of those yellow wasp traps. As camping goes, Kelly Flats is far enough out there to be really gorgeous and secluded, but developed enough to feel safe and fun for even the littlest campers. We took our one-year-old and he had a blast! We'll be back next summer for sure...!

We loved the wind breaks that are at each camp site, they definitely made staying the night more enjoyable. There is a cook station with stoves, sinks, and a microwave that is very clean and made cooking dinner easy. The showers and bathrooms were not the best, they were very small and dingy but they got the job done. The campground was right off the highway so traffic noise was present all night. It didn't bother us but could bother some.

We stayed here in the last night of our wonderful family vacation and we were so very disappointed. We booked over the phone and specifically asked to share a "yard" with our friends camping with us. The phone staff told us there were no full hookup spots remaining where we could camp together so we booked the last remaining water and electric sites. After arriving, we were not sharing a yard at all. We asked to move into the empty spot on the other side so we could share, but we were rudely told that wouldn't be allowed. The lady at the desk even told my husband, "Well that's what you reserved, so you get what you get!" We were completely shocked!! When we pulled in we were extremely disappointed with what we saw, and then the attitudes were appalling. This is nothing more than a rock parking lot with a few tiny trees sparsely distributed around. There was zero shade and absolutely nothing to block the view from a very busy and noisy interstate. It is just a bunch of campers parked off the interstate. Definitely not what I had in mind for gorgeous Wyoming camping!! There aren't even any fire pits!!! Who wants to camp with friends and kids with no fire pit and a TINY little junky picnic table?! Trust me, there are lots of other gorgeous campgrounds nearby, so save your money and your sanity!! Don't waste part of your vacation here!! Drive on by!!!

We didn't have a reservation and but there were still a few sites open around Saturday morning at 11AM. The campground is pretty big but the sites are spread out so you have a little bit of privacy. There are some sites with electricity for RVs and trailers. There is water available and a few vault toilets. The toilets, while clean inside, smelled worse than any campground bathroom I have ever visited (and I've visited quite a few, ha ha). So bad that I had to change after using it the morning we left because the smell was lingering on my clothes. There is also a lot of available dispersed camping on the road up to Jack's Gulch. We saw many groups opting for that... and it's free! Just no water and bathrooms, but you may be better off, considering the aroma of the vault toilets ;)

Conveniently located, the grounds were clean, the staff was friendly and courteous and best of all...most people were very understanding about a 1 year old waking up crying at 5am. I only have one negative for this place and its a BIG negative for me. It is located close to the highway so you can here alllll the cars and trucks day and night. If you are looking for a remote location...this is not the koa for you. There are a lot of other camps spots in the area..I would suggest those instead. However, of you are passing threw and just need some place to stay for a night or two...this is for you. I really wish I could give them 3 stars, but the highway noise really bummed me out.
