My ten-year-old and I had a great time at the 2-hour beginner class. The class had the instructor,…read moreone other family with a parent and child participating, and us. Other people filtered in, presumably members and staff, so there was a pleasant buzz but no crowding. The studio had aprons and hair ties for us. The instructor was very clear, and had a great touch with the kids, giving them the tips and help they needed to get great results, while still having them do everything. We each were given a pedal-controlled wheel, basic tools, and three balls of clay. We got to make three pieces each and then chose two each to be fired later. We also chose glaze colors from a small set. They had us cleaning up our wheels and tools, which was a bit of work but not too much, and my child found it satisfying to clean her wheel anyway. All around great introduction to pottery throwing that we both really enjoyed. We're looking forward to getting our pieces in a few weeks.

My mistake for misunderstanding that this would not be the pottery wheel (not reflected in rating). Elena was our instructor & she was extremely knowledgeable, patient, understanding of our levels. Gave everyone equal attention (group of 4). Clear demo of how to mold from clay ball & clay plate. The first 20-30min was the demo & we wish that it could've been interactive 'follow along' exercise. Great way to get your hands working & molding. I made a nameplate for the dog + a ramen bowl w/ recessed chopstick holder. Looking forward to pickup experience estimated 1mo. Fun & would go again for the wheel class.

Just a very chill vibe to get your creativity juices flowing. My friends had signed up for a rug…read moretufting session, but we also saw some people assembling tiny beads together into an image. They let me stick around even though I hadn't signed up, so I just took pictures of the process. For the tufting session, you pick a flat image of what you want to make ahead of time. The instructor then will give advice on how to go about putting together your creation. After that, you link the image to the projector and it projects onto your canvas. You then outline the image. Then comes the fun part: the tufting tutorial. The instructor spends about thirty minutes teaching everyone how to use the tufting gun and then has each person practice on a large canvas. After that, you pick your yarn color and tuft away! Apparently, it took four hours for my friends to complete their tufted rugs, but they turned out so cute! They even stayed open past closing hours to let my friends finish. We need more artistic spaces like this.

I decided to give it a second try for my boyfriend's birthday, and this experience was WAY better. Lucy did a great job at thoroughly explaining technique and was so patient with us. We were originally scheduled for 6 hours, but she went above and beyond and let us finish up past the 11pm closing time. We made a large frame (36"x36") for $168. The estimated time was 6 hours, but it ended up taking us 7.5 hours. They have so many different yarn colors. The tufting gun did take some practice, but we were able to get the hang of it pretty quickly (good for beginners). I definitely think we got our moneys worth. It is very tiring and will likely take you longer than you expect, so I would treat this as an all-day event. The booking process worried me a little as they texted me a couple of hours after I booked saying that they might have to reschedule/cancel my appointment if another party didn't book during the same time slot. I didn't receive an update for about 2 days and was about to book with another company, but luckily I was able to move things around and book a time slot that others had also booked.

The location is a little tricky to find, it's in an alleyway and you will need to buzz to get in, so try to arrive a little early. Additionally, allot more time than you think you need even for a very simple project - rug tufting is hard to get the hang of and we were so focused on our projects, we couldn't really chat while tufting lol

First time at Art & Craft Workshop! Went with a group of 4 for the Mosaic Lamp 2 hour workshop…read more Great experience besides the minor bumps. Contacting via email with the team was seamless when asking for a discounted price and ensuring our reservation was confirmed. Going in meeting our instructor, Jamie, was great. She was very chill & let our creativity speak. She was very helpful when it came to teaching and explaining. Her lamps were super cute ! The lamp making itself is worth the cost, you come out with a beautiful piece of art that you created. Once you turn the light on the design looks amazing, even if you originally think differently ! As for the minor improvements. We had to call to figure out how to get in. They said they we should have gotten an email about how to enter, but we did not. The other party that came in also didn't get instructions. So we walked the whole square. Entrance will be the gate closest to the main parking lot, on your right. Ask the staff for the code before going in. Also, DO NOT park in that parking lot or you will be towed. The signs were so small, we didn't know but Jamie informed us. Plenty of street parking ! Last, no Turkish coffee or sweets were offered though it said they were on the website. Not a huge deal breaker, but just don't advertise it. Other than that, great experience. Would come back to try a different craft event !!!
