But someone clearly invested wisely in bringing this Rhode Island institution into the modern era. The updates are impressive and practical. Everything runs smoothly - from the quick ball returns and pin setups to the modern scoring system. They've switched to hourly rates instead of per-string pricing, which makes a lot of sense with their efficient setup. Their Monday-Friday special ($20 for an hour of bowling plus shoe rental) is a great deal - and thanks to how quickly everything runs, you can easily fit three strings into that hour, as we discovered when we overbooked for two! The facility itself is super clean, including the bathrooms (always a telling sign). They've covered all the bases for refreshments with both a proper bar/food setup and vending machines. The counter staff is friendly, parking is plentiful, and the whole operation runs like a well-oiled ball return machine. It's great to see a family entertainment spot that's both well-maintained and affordable. Lang's has managed to preserve its community bowling alley character while giving customers all the modern conveniences they expect. Perfect for family time or a fun afternoon with friends.

In addition to Bowling, there are also pool tables and lots of video games so the kids have plenty to do here. The new pro Shane took great care of us, and the staff was wonderful. We will return. And we ate in the restaurant and Erica made sure everything went well. Also food was great. A very minor thing, but the scorecard is great. Not squeezed. It would be great if they added a 150 yard markers I made them more visible. We will return.

The greens are in pretty good shape, though a little bumpy on the back. Overall, I though the turf was in nice shape. There are some interesting tee shots. I found lots of bunkers. Not a great day for yours truly, but it was a beautiful 70 degrees out and I played OK. (shot a 90) I'd go back if I were in the area - it's an hr from my home. I paid the super discounted rate of $24 on golfnow.com and you can too. Just look for hot deals. I wouldn't have minded paying another $15 or so. It's probably worth double what I paid. (or more)

Nice 9 hole course that's very easy to get to off of Rt 195. I've played twice at the twilight…read morerate, $15 walking, which is a great deal. Some of the greens leave a bit to be desired, bare patches and some dirt, but for the most part they're not bad. Everyone I've met while playing has been very friendly and helpful with course tips. The course opens with three par 4s right in a row, so you'll be hitting driver right away. There is water on a few holes and the sand traps are on the harder packed side, but they're strategically placed so be careful. You can easily walk 9 in 1:15 without feeling rushed, making it a great choice for a quick pre- or post-work round.
