At the same time, he appeared to be spending more time chatting with someone I assumed was his girlfriend than engaging with guests or checking on the dining room. During our visit, I never saw him greet or speak with tables or bar guests. I also watched him stop at the service well and stir a cider as though he was trying to create foam--a drink that normally doesn't foam in that way--instead of running drinks or delegating them to the appropriate staff. It gave the impression that leadership wasn't focused on supporting the team or the guest experience. The disappointing part is that the issues didn't seem to stem from being busy--they came across as a lack of urgency and leadership. I hope management takes a closer look at how the restaurant is being run, because the staff and guests deserve better.
