We started with the Chicken Marsala Stuffed Mushrooms, which were packed with rich, savory flavor. I ordered the 'Shroomy Grilled Cheese, and it was next-level comfort food; gooey, earthy, and perfectly balanced. My husband and aunt both had the New School Smash Burger, and they couldn't stop raving about it. Every dish was bursting with flavor and truly "to die for." Our server, David, made the night even better. He was attentive, upbeat, and genuinely kind; an overall great spirit with a fantastic attitude who elevated the entire dining experience. David even brought us some of their popcorn, which was so delicious and such a fun extra touch. We loved the food, we loved the service, and we will definitely be back; highly recommend.

I truly don't understand this place after eating here a few times. It is always packed ... the…read moreparking lot literally looks like a shopping mall with cars parked along the street. It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

I've been dying to try this restaurant after seeing reviews and finding out it's chef owned (yes!)…read more We had reservations on a recent Saturday afternoon at 3pm. The restaurant is small (only seats 48) so reservations are recommended. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, there wasn't very many people while we were there so I'm not sure how loud it gets when busy. They have a full bar so I ordered a drink and my husband loves his craft beers and they had a few (but he always prefers if they have a beer menu so he can read the beer description). For appetizers we ordered shrimp cocktail and the meatball. The shrimp and sauce were delicious, and the meatball was HUGE (we almost could have a meal with that!!! The meatball came with lots of sauce and ricotta with 2 toasted bread slices (we devoured every bit!). For dinner we shared 2 entrees, we got the seafood casserole which came with choice of side (we picked baked potato) and a vegetable medley, and the southern fried pork chops that came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The food was so delicious we ate what we could and had to bring food home. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable of the menu. This was one of the best places we've tried in a while. We eat out at least weekly and most places we don't go back for a second visit, but Lucky Dog Tavern will definitely stay on our rotation of places we love.

She told me she loves the Chicken Parm Sub at Tavern 6 Two 1, so placed an order for her, another chicken parm for her boyfriend & a cheesesteak for myself with an upgraded side of onion rings. My cheesesteak was good but the onion rings stole the show with delicious spicy ranch in our opinion! Very light & crispy breading. I also tasted my daughter's Chicken Parm sub which was excellent. I love how you cut up the breaded cutlet before putting on the roll. Lots of edges for the sauce & cheese to cover. I don't think I can ever go back to eating a chicken parm that just puts a full chicken cutlet in the roll! While I was waiting for my pick up order I had the chance to look out onto the outside patio which is beautiful & nestled around the trees. I'm sure there are some gorgeous sunsets. Definitely a hidden gem! Next time I come from NJ to visit I will make a stop! I just feel bad that I didn't take any pictures, but we were too busy eating!

The second one was very questionable ( see picture). unfortunately, after eating part of it I noticed that some of the romaine lettuce was clearly wilted and starting to go bad (dark, soggy pieces). I stopped eating it once I realized. The chicken and wrap itself were fine, but the lettuce quality was disappointing and not something that should be served. This seems like a food prep/quality control issue rather than a one-off. French fries were nice and crispy! For $17 on DD, I am so disappointed. I am willing to give this place another chance, but this also makes me question the quality of other ingredients. I hope management pays closer attention to produce freshness going forward, because this could have been avoided.

But the restaurant itself was spacious and decorated nicely. We were sat in a dining area off to the front that did get a little noisy. Our waitress was friendly but not overly personable. However, she did get the job done. Another waiter brought over an extra chair that the party in the table in front of us didn't need so he left it right in front of my party so we couldn't get out. A little weird but not the end of the world. For dinner we started with the fried pickles. They were nice and crispy and portion was pretty generous for $10. We could have used more of the sauce though. My main meal was the chicken parm sandwich with tater tots. The sandwich I felt was a little small for the price tag. Chicken was cut into strips with some funky pieces and not overly crispy. Tater tots were an extra $2 but the container they came in wasn't an impressive size either. So, why three stars? The Trap isn't a bad restaurant but I felt that the price didn't justify average food. I think I'd come back again to try something else in the future though.

I got the flash dance drink (coffee and vodka). We also got the the fried mozzarella- it looked really good but it wasn't flavorful at all. When we bit into it, it squirted out with water and got everywhere. The marinara sauce didn't help the flavor either. We also got the crispy Brussels which were really good! The place was busy and was setting up for live music. We were seated very quickly. Would come back but wouldn't recommend the mozzarella bites to anyone ever.

My friend ordered the grilled chicken pesto sandwich with tots. I tried a a tot and they were crispy! I had the bang bang shrimp bowl. The shrimp and sauce on the shrimp was great and the avocado was super creamy. The rice was a little hard though, kind of like day old rice (rice I would have used to make fried rice honestly.) I wish the dish came with a side of the sauce to mix in with the other veggies and rice. While we were there I saw someone eating dessert and also saw the salmon entree. Both looked great! They also offer tons of specials throughout the week. I'll definitely be back!
