He saved us money AND added channels for the cabin! He also gave us paper copies to use in the cabin. Since we were in the store, and we were with such a reliable, pleasant representative, Missy asked about her other rentals. Again, he looked into each account and either kept each cabin as is since it had the best package, or changed the package to save her money. The store is clean and bright. My brother lives in an apartment where the only option for internet and cable service is this company. The packages they offer are so pieced out that to get just some primary channels you have to buy extra packages. I recommend they put the most watched and asked-for channels in their primary lineup and stop gauging customers. Getting a live human being on the line is nearly impossible. Their website only offers their Xfinity Assistant which sucks bad. My questions were way too complex for it. The options they gave me to talk with a live option also did not match my needs for talking with them. I finally had to look at my statement to find a phone number to call them, but I got the same runaround and they tried to direct me to the Xfinity Assistant. It has taken me two days of trying to get through to a live "executive account agent". I feel sorry for these guys because by the time you get through to talking to them, you are so pissed off they have to take the flack and it is not their fault. I imagine this company has a very hard time holding on to good employees. I am on the phone right now with a representative who is quoting me information that is different from their website quotes. I manage this account on my brother's behalf because he has disabilities and lives in low-income housing where his ONLY option for internet and cable is Xfinity - the most expensive option out there. What kind of racket is this? Now, I can't even access their website because it gives me the "Oops something went wrong" message. Luckily, I don't use Xfinity, so my internet is very good, so I am sure the issue is with their website. I usually try to offer solutions to companies when I come up against problems in dealing with them, but in this situation, I have no ideas for them. I will have to contact my elected representative. That is exactly what I will do when I am done with this call that has so far lasted 45 minutes with no solution. I have asked to speak to a supervisor and so expect that will likely take another hour. The account representative was just as pleasant as she could be and I feel sorry for her that she has to take all the flack for her company's missteps. I hope her supervisor has more authority to help me. Ok I talked to Lauren from "Leadership". She was also no help and just repeated to me all the things the "account executive" said. She told me that the only way I can downgrade my service to the minimum is to CALL THEM BACK!!! Internet in Harriman, TN is always intermittent on whether it works or not. I constantly have outages either due to lines/equipment down, or "upgrades". I have contacted Xfinity numerous times about this and they just read a script to me. It works great when it works, but I'm over it. Seriously, who is up for a class-action lawsuit? I want to take Xfinity down. I want them to go bankrupt, their poor employees to find a job with a better company, and better companies to come to the region in place of their local monopoly. So my story...: My mom was a customer, and was murdered, so I had to close her account with them. I went into a physical location while I was in the area after everything had just happened, got the service cut, and was told very sincerely by the employee who was working with me not to worry about bringing in the equipment. I think he was being sympathetic, and was actually representing the company positively. However, months later, the company sent a bill for nearly $400 about the account being delinquent, so I called about it. The automated system already had me angry because I kept saying that I needed to talk to a person, as I don't have the account number and all that, and it would say that it would get me to an agent, but first needed information that I didn't have. After wrestling with the automated system for a long time, I finally got an agent. The agent was insistent that even if I was told that I didn't need to bring the equipment in, and even though I don't even live on the same continent (I'm in the military), I have to bring the equipment in or pay. While I understand wanting equipment back, when I was told that I didn't have to bring it in, with how much I was having to deal with at the time, I accepted the kindness. Corporate later deciding to make issue with it after-the-fact is what I find extremely dissatisfactory, and even offensive, given the circumstances. I went to FCC and was given a credit for equipment I never ordered and was charged for and illegal billing practices. Now they are billing me for past due amounts that have no bases. I have never been more agitated with a company. The contract states that we are able to use the company Modem and pay monthly for it, or we are able to use our own. We were able to use our own modem for a year before we started having problems with it. We had technician after technician out to look at brand new modems after brand new modems, and the same answer kept arising.." your modem must be bad because our company modem works" ( we bought brand new modems that the technician said would work with our service) We were charged $70 everytime someone came out to check it and give us the same answer. We have been dealing with this situation for months, spending hours in the phone with customer service... and no one could help solve the problem. They eventually told us "In a perfect world you could use your own Modem, but we can't figure out the problem, so I guess you all will have to use ours." We finally decided to try one last time to see if we could find a technician who could help figure out the problem, and he fixed it. It was a simple problem of the down stream strength. If anyone has the opportunity to use any other company than Xfinity I highly recommend saving yourself some extreme aggravation, and do not use this company. Update: they actually didn't fix I it. I had to change the account from my dad's name to my name because he passed away, and his bill was also outrageous. So I took all the old boxes to the closest location and returned them. I thought everything went fine they got ALL my info ect and gave me new boxes. However, when I got home it didn't work. So I called tech support and was on the phone approximately 5 hours with them. The next day went back, and spoke with someone else and thought it was taken care of then. When I got home, I tried hooking it up again and was able to hook up the Internet, but was unable to hook up the cable. So I called tech-support again , and again I was on the phone approximately five hours. And even though I had the Internet working somehow they did something to turn the Internet off and mess everything up again during those two days they probably made me 5 to 6 accounts, and none of them worked. When I went back the second day, I was quoted a price of $196. But not when I was speaking with tech-support, they quoted me a minimum price of $248 and finally got it down to $206 and then transferred me to another person who is able to get it down to $203 because we could not figure out how to get the price that the salesman had gave me at the store, and they still could not get it to work. So they set up a technician to come and install everything. When the technician came out, there was nothing really wrong except he replaced a few coax cable ends and just took the boxes around and then did some stuff on his computer andl, I was without cable and Internet for a minimum of six days trying to get this situated. All because the light off could not figure out how to transfer the account from my dad's name to my name. I have never been so frustrated with a company in my life. The one good thing about it all was Matthew at the Comcast store. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable about everything I was trying to do and help me with everything. Dealing with them was the most miserable experience ever. Now I have to pay the installation person be of $100. When I could have very easily have hooked it up by myself, because all I did was unscrew the coax cables and unplug the power supply. Then leave and come straight back home with the new boxes and it wouldn't work. I owe because they left it in my dad's name and not putting it in my name. Allow me to put a damper on the "excellent service" some people claim to have gotten. The facility itself is excellent. My own experience with the service was unsatisfactory. I had signed up for the Triple Play package after inquiring about the "total cost" of the package including ALL taxes and ALL fees. The amount quoted was totally incorrect. This may be the 3rd ring of hell. I drove 20 mins to this location to find what I thought was a short line. There were only about 5-6 people ahead of me and a man with a clipboard directed me to the appropriate equipment line as soon as I walked in the door. I figured dropping equipment and paying my last bill would be a wait, but not ridiculous. 40 minutes later, I'm still waiting after watching the "pay only" line move very quickly. Finally Mr. Clipboard directed me to a newly opened desk that could take my equipment. Once my equipment was processed and I ask to pay my bill I was told to stand in the now slow moving "pay only" line. I waited there an additional 20 mins to pay a $30 bill. Yeah, I was pissed!!!! I had a cable box in bedroom and DVR in living room. The one in bedroom had on demand a favorite list and all the channels that DVR had. It started turning itself on and off so they sent a new one. It took a week to activate. It doesn't have on demand, favorite channel list and doesn't have all the channels that DVR does. The one it replaced was 10 years old. This one is brand new and it sucks. I can't start watching in living room and go into bedroom to finish watching because usually box in bedroom doesn't get the channel I was watching. read more

I setup a transfer of services where I can just take my current equipment to new home and do a simple install. NOPE! The lady at Xfinity store off Kingston Pike didn't set it up correctly for transfer of services, so i had to call CS. They schedule my appointment a week out for someone to come out. When he arrived, couldn't figure out how to connect the lines and kept asking me if prior owner had Comcast. I said "yes" numerous times as if he didn't believe me. Very condescending attitude he had. He called his service department to have someone else come out and a few days later. Well I called CS to confirm appointment for today which was between 8-10am. I would give this company less than one star if I could. Their customer service, especially when it comes to the billing and "solutions" departments are the worst I have ever encountered. I called to cancel services after about the fourth time of them "losing" my payment. Of course each time I had to contact my bank and prove I had made the payment. Each time they charged me late fees which they never credited nor did they credit me for my time and inconvenience or for the day that I did not have service. Which is how I found out they did not receive my payment as my bank statement showed it posted. They offered to lower my bill so I stated with them. BIG MISTAKE. Three months later I found out that the offer they made was dependent on me signing up for paperless billing so they could hide their mistakes. When I called to request my rate lowered back to the agreed upon rate to keep my services I was told they could do nothing about it. If there was a way to give less that 1 star I would. First of all, I work remotely. Dropped service over 20+ times a day. And not one day.. EVERY day. Lots of lag time. Matter of fact at one point back in the fall I had to leave the house and go to my parents in order to work for an entire week because I had ZERO service for 3 days prior. So taking a entire vacation day to travel back 4 hours to my parents in order to work, was not acceptable. But try telling one of these clowns this story.. But nobody cares. All they want is the dollars. Another vacation day and travel 4 hours back after it was supposedly fixed.. all ended up still dropping on average of 15+ times a day. So.. now I have to move because of COVID, there is no Xfinity service in my new area.. and guess what happens?? I have to pay an early termination fee. BE CAREFUL WHEN USING DEBIT CARDS TO PAY BILL OVER THE PHONE. Twice, and every month since we used Comcast phone pay services, they have twice debited my card for payment without my authorization. I like to pay my bill on payday, when it is convenient for me, NOT when Comcast chooses. I was never notified of their intent, nor was I sent a receipt. The only way I knew it had occurred was when I checked my debit card balance. I have repeatedly called and told them that I NEVER signed up for auto-draft and that the only way they had my card number was through me using it to pay a bill once. After I paid with that card one time, it was put into the auot draft system. Again, I have spoken to at least 10 Comcast associates begging them to disconnect the card and told them that I had never given them authorization. This morning I awoke to a lighter balance than expected on my card. Only after doing research did I discover it had happened again! Even after calling them and telling them that this draft done today had drained my balance and it left me with $12.00 to live on until next Friday; first payday after CHRISTMAS! This has put me and my family in a terrible position. I would have had plenty of money to pay them in 6 days. Now I am broke and they had committed an illegal act! A small business would not be allowed to get away with practices such as these. I am now going to have to cancel this card as that seems to be the only way to stop this fraudulent act. Another hindrance as this takes 7-10 days to process and will leave me without a debit card for at least a week because of their inability to fix this or maybe they really just don't care. It is tough to know the difference with the language and accent barriers that exist when using their call centers somewhere NOT in America. At any rate, whether the folks there don't know how to fix or don't understand what I am asking them to do, this is a major AMERICAN corporation and there should be no excuse treating human beings this way. To be completely broke for the entire week of Christmas, that $180 would have gone a long way to feed my family and to finish buying stocking stuffers for my children. This is devastating to us. Shame on Comcast and shame on Xfinity! I will cancel my card and my service the first of the year! read more
