Wish I could give no stars! I placed my initial order for wireless Internet on Aug 13. Setup was for the 17, b between 1-5, no show. I reschedule for the 18th same time. I call at 2:13 and spoke with Edgar. He assured me everything was on schedule. 5:18 no show. I call again, my appointment was canceled at 3pm! I get transferred to the sales support. Guy is apathetic, then tells me I never had an initial order and he could nothing to reschedule. I get sent to yet anther rep (mind you this is now going on an hour and a half still no answers) i speak to a woman who is now made aware that wireless Internet is a necessity in my household. My husband goes off shore for a month at time.........our communication is linked to wifi. Regardless, she assures me I have an appointment today and she "understands my frustration." My best friends came over while I was at work and waited for comcast for 3 hours.....no show AGAIN! I call to only find out my appointment was canceled randomly yet AGAIN!! How does anyone tolerate this? I told them I don't care if I get the worst wireless Internet or the slowest, I REFUSE to do business with Comcast, they have no customer service, and only attempt to passify you. There is no solution given to any issues, only transfers, to another person incapable of any real proactive or helpful assistance. Good Luck to those that deal with this company, I'll go with AT&T. read more

BE CAREFUL WHEN USING DEBIT CARDS TO PAY BILL OVER THE PHONE. Twice, and every month since we used Comcast phone pay services, they have twice debited my card for payment without my authorization. I like to pay my bill on payday, when it is convenient for me, NOT when Comcast chooses. I was never notified of their intent, nor was I sent a receipt. The only way I knew it had occurred was when I checked my debit card balance. I have repeatedly called and told them that I NEVER signed up for auto-draft and that the only way they had my card number was through me using it to pay a bill once. After I paid with that card one time, it was put into the auot draft system. Again, I have spoken to at least 10 Comcast associates begging them to disconnect the card and told them that I had never given them authorization. This morning I awoke to a lighter balance than expected on my card. Only after doing research did I discover it had happened again! Even after calling them and telling them that this draft done today had drained my balance and it left me with $12.00 to live on until next Friday; first payday after CHRISTMAS! This has put me and my family in a terrible position. I would have had plenty of money to pay them in 6 days. Now I am broke and they had committed an illegal act! A small business would not be allowed to get away with practices such as these. I am now going to have to cancel this card as that seems to be the only way to stop this fraudulent act. Another hindrance as this takes 7-10 days to process and will leave me without a debit card for at least a week because of their inability to fix this or maybe they really just don't care. It is tough to know the difference with the language and accent barriers that exist when using their call centers somewhere NOT in America. At any rate, whether the folks there don't know how to fix or don't understand what I am asking them to do, this is a major AMERICAN corporation and there should be no excuse treating human beings this way. To be completely broke for the entire week of Christmas, that $180 would have gone a long way to feed my family and to finish buying stocking stuffers for my children. This is devastating to us. Shame on Comcast and shame on Xfinity! I will cancel my card and my service the first of the year! read more

This company will gradually increase your bill on random months. I think they are hoping that you do not realize The price hike and just pay the bill in your hectic busy day. When you call in to bring the price discrepancy to their attention their are long hold times. You will find yourself spending half your day disputing $10 or $80. Most of the time your bill will not be adjusted. You will be connected to a call center in India or the Philippines as if they are not making enough money off of US accounts. read more

As with the previous review I wish I could give zero stars. Two days ago I called to schedule an appointment for 3pm-5pm and at about 4pm three guys pulled up in a van and stood outside of it talking for about 20 minutes before I finally walked up to them and asked to confirm that they were there for our house. So one of the guys follows me in and tells me he knows what is wrong with the Internet and can fix it. 30 minutes later he tells me he isn't authorized to work on our internet because we are a business and not a residence. So he assures me that someone else will be by in the next 15 minutes. An hour goes by. I call Comcast several times trying to find out if someone is still coming after getting hung up on several times and transferred to at least 30 people, they tell me they are still scheduled to come some time between 3 and 7. I wait till 7:30 and then go through the same process of calling until someone can help me. The last person to talk to me tells me that someone should be coming that night but doesn't give me any specific time. It's 11:15 now and I just got off the phone with them after they told me that they are now closed and I will have to call again tomorrow to schedule a new appointment, the worst customer service I've ever delt with. read more

Comcast is overly priced, rude, and ridiculous. Every time i call them or deal with them in any manner they out do themselves with their silly demands. I have been a good customer with them for 8 yrs now always been on time with my bill never had any problem until lately i have run into some trouble, i've had major surgery and almost died. i missed a payment got behind and they turned me off. Ok, so I go to make arrangements to pay up and turn me back on, i go to my local office and they young man tells my husband NO WAY !!! can't do that have to have it all now $260 . my sweet husband not very good with people , very tired from sitting and sleeping in a hospital chair for 4 days has a bit of a meltdown.To which the young man Says to him that he does not care what he thinks he can go to DISH for all he cares and to get out and never come back. my husband leaves, me being the voice of reason tries to talk more reasonably to this young man he tells me to get out and leave he is calling the cops on me ( ARE YOU KIDDING ME, REALY!!!) Alright then. So i make my payment over the phone with the computer $260, All is right with the world, right.....wrong i call today to reduce my services they tell me, that they can't do that for me that i have to talk to billing before they can make any changes to my services. i guess now I'm just a dead beat loser and can't make any changes without permission from Billing. (Just RIDICULOUS) I see no cause for this AT ALL. I have been a good loyal customer to comcast and now they treat me like trash!!! i pay their high prices as they go up every year at least $20. i live in a small town in Tennessee and comcast is the only cable company available so I'm kinda SOL when it comes to TV. Terrible. Really terrible. I try to write reviews of things I like - businesses, hotels, restaurants. When I have a great experience I want to share it. I'll make an exception here. While not every single call was frustrating, time consuming and met with utter indifference I had many, many calls that were just debacles. Stay away! The "Voice Response" system so maddening that they actually thanked me for putting up with it and the long hold time. Then the run-around begins. They won't charge you, they will charge you. They can help you, they can't help you. Clearly the problem is my wiring and then for three days they have trucks parked in the neighborhood and cable running down the street...just down the side of the road! Finally, we decided to move to another service...and suddenly they offer to go back to a free service visit with cheaper service. What that tells me is I was a chump not to leave earlier. The one saving grace of the Insanity was the folks at the Downtown West Office were pleasant in the multiple visits I had to make there to attempt to resolve the service problems. read more

I cannot count how many times this company has screwed me over. They're extremely worried about customer service but not about the product they provide or how they conduct business. I have experienced countless gliches in the internet service! When I call to get it fixed, they hang up on me over and over before they send a "reset" signal to my house. It just makes a funny noise on my phone line and DOES NOT resolve the service issue. Who do they think is falling for that?!! I am a student and I rely on quality internet to do my studies. My most recent beef with Comcast is that my internet fee went up 20 dollars without any notice. This wasn't in my contract at all! I have called to inquire about this change and the phone service hangs up on me over and over. I STILL have not been able to talk to anyone about this! SO FED UP. I would switch providers but for some strange reason, there isn't another provider available in my area. read more

Horrible Horrible customer service. I called to ask a question at the store closest to me; the one on papermill, and found the number was a national customer service line. I asked the girl on the line to please provide me with the local store number. She said there were no stores in my area. I said, "in all of Knoxville TN, there are no Comcast stores?" She said, "according to my records that is correct." I said, "you're kidding me, there's got to be a store somewhere around here." She said, "no, not according to our records." I said, "can I speak with a supervisor?" She said, I've already answered your question." I said, "you didn't answer my question about speaking with a supervisor." She said please hold for a minute of two. EIGHTEEN minutes later, after listening to the sorriest, poorest quality music available, I was cut off. The stupid messages I had to endure kept telling me Comcast wanted to provide the best Customer Service. What a lie!!! Unfortunately the apartment I live in only offers one cable service, or I would dump them right now. read more

Xfinity claims to have a better service than ATT / direct tv but it simply isn't true... I just saw a commercial that said xfinity is better than ATT/direct tv while I was watching this commercial the signal was cutting out making the image and audio very very VERY choppy ! While the price that I paid for the service I have from them is very reasonable the service itself is about the same maybe slightly worse, due to the fact the error I mentioned above happened while the sky is clear and no possible problems that I could determine. I also have a big issue with the X1 platform for the in home receiver . This receiver is just awful, it's full of glitches and bugs. Also it's so really slow to respond to buttons pushed on the remote and the search feature has one serious bug that I found so far, if you type in the search for a channel on the remote select a channel then after you watch you program and then type the same channel into the search it will not update the programs on the sidebar guide it displays the program that was on when you selected the channel previously. I have also experienced auto channel changing without having anything set to auto tune. The x1 platform is just awful and really buggy... It's a get what you pay for I suppose... read more
