They make it almost impossible to cancel your service even without a contract; on three separate occasions I spent approximately 3 hours on the phone on hold, only for somebody to finally pick up the line and hang up. Now because I decided to not pay my bill to get my service shut off, they call no less than two times a day to harass me about payment. Non-existent customer service given the death loop one gets trapped in on the app. If you are lucky (?) enough to get a live customer service person, they don't know anything about everything. Poor broadband quality. It wasn't great in the last place I lived, but here it's far worse. I have enough bandwidth to watch short videos, but they're often fuzzy. I login to their site and there's no simple contact form. I go to the forums, fill out a question, and continually get errors when trying to post it. They're a monopoly and they have no interest in providing good service. While you have to have it, don't waste money with extra services, they don't provide the bandwidth promised so paying extra for what you don't get makes no sense. read more

Super Live Service! I called the 800 phone number because I couldn't get connected to the Internet on half my home digital devices. Their stupid auto-menu kept pushing Chat at me - threatening longer wait, etc. (resulting in the loss of a rating star) As I had already spent half the night on self-service options I insisted on a live person. I didn't wait long at all and a wonderful, helpful female (name of Jane or Diane - this varied) based in the Philippines who calmly talked me down and gently urged me into helping her run a few tests. A few weeks ago Xfinity did some street maintenance. When service returned we were connected to Marysville, WA instead of Spokane. This caused HULU to think we had gone out of town and shifted our local stations to Seattle instead of Spokane. A call to support was worthless except to get a tech scheduled for a home visit. A tech came out and verified that we were good as far as our home equipment and that it was a problem with the Xfinity upgrade. I spent 30 years working on IBM mainframes specializing in communications, which included TCP/IP, so I am pretty certain that this is a problem with equipment on a rack, in a room somewhere, that belongs to Xfinity. I'm still waiting for notification that that my problem is fixed. There was no problem ticket given to me to follow up with support. Xfinity customer support is virtually impossible to communicate with and all they know how to do is turn the modem off and on, something I already tried. read more

If I could put minus 1 I would. My bill is supposed to be $45/month, but apparently if you go over that, three months later they charge you $10/50 gb. When I called to complain, they explained to me that back in September I went over by 156gb, which I was charged another$40. Better expect a much higher price other than what you were quoted for your cable/Internet. They will have charges like taxes, fees, broadcaster fee, regional sports fee, equipment, etc., but those are known fees and they should be quoted in the "all in" price they give. Even IF it's correct, it will be for one year and without telling you they will raise it much higher because that "special" is now over. You'll have to call in every year on the dot to keep that cost relatively close to that price, IF a "special" just happens to be available at that time. Watch your bills like a hawk! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service of any company I have ever experienced. Pathetic and unfortunately most people in Spokane are stuck with these lying morons. If you have any problem with your service , good luck. The call centers seem to all be in India. They will take you on the phone and online the same route, same questions, etc. To make long story short they have set up 3 tech visits. The techs have no showed all 3 times with no call. They even give you a confirm number and it will not even be in the system. The internet sucks at my apartment while the cable is just ok. I run my business off the internet. I am now forced to go to Starbucks to operate during the morning hours. If you can avoid these idiots, avoid them. read more

Im going to try and be as calm and rational as I can be in this review, but believe me, its going to be hard. If I could give comcast -10 stars, I absolutely would. I have had their service for over a year now, and have more problems here, than I ever have with any internet service in my entire geek-filled life. We have had service guys here, at least 5 times trying to fix the fact that the service is intermittent and completely unreliable. We get coaxed into the "BLAST package" (50mbps), and I have yet to see anything over 22mbps. I call every month, trying to discuss the fact that they SUCK at life, and they are constantly trying to sell me on other shit I DO NOT NEED OR WANT. Every single night around 10-11pm, the service intermittently cuts out, or just throttles down to 5mbps (the latter is considered a good night). So today, I call to talk to them about it... "Oh, well it must be your area. Some areas cant recieve 50mbps" she says. "Then why have I been paying for it!?" "Im not sure sir, but lets see if we can find you a package for 25mbps, so you dont have to pay for something you arent receiving. Okay, here we go, I found a package for 25mbps, 2 free premium channels (for three months), and a LAN line for 84.99." (we're currently paying 80!!!) "Um, I dont want 2 free premium channels (for 3 months), I hardly watch tv. And who has need for a LAN line thats not over 75yo!?" "Ha ha, yeah... well, thats just the package we have available, sir." "Cant you give me a package catered to MY needs? and not try to make me pay for MORE STUFF I WILL NEVER USE!? -thats the reason I'm calling you right now..." "blah blah blah, buy more shit from us, we have no concern for pleasing our paying and loyal customers, because we are money sucking corporate assholes." -Okay, I made that last reply up. I find this company to be the ABSOLUTE WORST company to deal with. It is so frustrating that they have a complete MONOPOLY on cable in our towns so the only option we have is to go to Direct TV or another dish network! I love to have cable and I have had cable in other locations...but Comcast/Infinity is AWFUL! I have Direct TV at home due to the poor service I had from Comcast but recently I had to use Comcast for my mom in a nursing home....they are the only option. They have overbilled me (did not provide the correct plan I signed up for) and when I tried calling/writing to them.....NO RESOLUTION! I spoke to people on the phone who said they would send me a breakdown of what I was billed and what I have paid and explain the charges (never happened). I then sent 2 letters. I was told that even though I sent the letters to Customer Service...they don't read/respond to letters. I was told I had to go to the STORE to resolve my issues. At the store I waited in line, was helped by someone who had NO CONCERN for my situation and told me to "read my statements" and that she could not help me with billing....that is not what she does. I finally cancelled the service (and of course I'll end up paying the overcharges or it will hurt my credit). They did NOTHING to help me or my 83 year old mother in the nursing home! They didn't even have her correct information or the right room even though I have called them and the nursing home has called them. How do we allow such a monopoly??? read more

Piece of S h * t Constant revision of monthly bills to remove monthly charges for a router i did not have nor request/rent from them. Had to always double check their bills, as such auto pay would NEVER be advised. They will get your bill wrong, they will scam you, they will take your money and tell you to p*ss off. Had to send a tech out 3 or 4 times just to get the wiring outside an apartment complex to allow for my speeds... tech set foot in my house and incurred a charge I wasn't even aware of and HAD I been aware of it I'd have told the tech to leave instead. Had to dispute that charge as well. 1 year expires without notification or any type of attempted contact regarding my promotional period. After this I contact them to rectify my bill AGAIN, they (of course) cannot do anything nor is their customer service english proficient (I could not understand the first tech at all). On a single positive note, the second technician was foreign but more more intelligible. I will seek another company as soon as possible, but I've had equally poor experiences with century link (if not worse, their bill tracking and customer services is just as shoddy). read more

Very disappointed in Comcast service. Was charged $120 for "early termination" even though they do not cover my new home, and I tried to transfer service to keep comcast. I cant not move for work just because Comcast isnt in my new area.... I called and was on the phone nearly an hour reversing this charge only to have them take it via auto pay a week later, even though I had zero access to that account since I had closed it a month earlier. Just spent another hour on the phone to be told it will take THREE WEEKS to get my $120 back via paper check due to THEIR MISTAKE!! I will never be using Comcast EVER again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. We got rid of our landline of $35 a month before taxes. New to Spokane and I am an online college student. Wife called Comcast and set up a delivery of their modem and cable box. The package comes well packed and after dinner I hastily get to hooking it up (we were looking forward to streaming a movie from Netflix after a much stressful day). Three phone calls to tech support (having poor cell service didn't help, which was the reason for two calls and an hour and a half on hold) to have a supervisor tell me that the line is disconnected and it will be Monday before a tech can connect the line. I am searching for another ISP and I would highly recommend anyone reading this to do the same. What kind of business ships a product knowing the service cannot possibly be provided? The most non customer-centric, overpriced, overrated and horrible company I have ever come across. My bill has mysteriously creeped up almost $40 every month and when I called today to address it, the rep basically said that all the charges were from 4 months ago when I was late on a payment (which didn't explain all the other charges) and finally told me about all the extra fees that they never inform you about upfront. This company is untrustworthy, sneaky and downright awful. DO NOT go with them, they will suck you dry in terms of hidden fees and when you need help, they will give you every excuse in the book not to be accountable. Absolute worst company I have ever tried to work with. Called and signed up for service. They could not get my order right. could not schedule install. When I took time off work to have cable installed they said I needed to have my home rewired by a electrician. Check did that, next took more time off to get it installed and they no showed. When I called they said that I had called and cancelled Installation. Why would I call and cancel and then take time off to come home and sit around the house wondering if cable was going to be installed today. I would rather pay twice as much for any other provider then ever deal with this incompetent company.
