Internet service is absolutely terrible. Service is expensive for very intermittent and slow connectivity.

Prior to today I was not a fan. I was fairly frustrated with price discrepency, failure to accommodate elderly and fixed income but today Christopher was phenomenal. He exceeded my expectation. Time will tell. I will return with a lesser review if it falls through. read more

I have had Comcast for over 5 years now, every year when my 12months is up and my bill for just internet skyrockets I dread calling. This year was the worst so far. Accidentally hung up on twice, transferred around to people I really didn't need to talk to, on hold forever. Every year I down grade and down grade our service and I still end up paying more. Now I'm paying twice as much for my initial service and have 3x slower internet. If you have another option go with a different company. read more

They advertise "lightning fast internet". What a joke! Even the most basic package claims you can get as fast as 20 MB/sec. I have never seen even close to that! It would be a really good day if I got 100 KB/sec... and that speed is never long lived. I do music production and am constantly downloading and uploading large files. It takes me forever to get anything done through Comcast. Unfortunately they are really the only option for cable internet. They really need a good competitor. Maybe then they would step up their game a little and actually (come even remotely close) to doing what they advertise. I am currently trying to download a 600Mb sound file that, if internet performance was even close to advertised, would take only minutes. My estimated download time is between 2 and 4 hours! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I had Comcast with a bundle and was told I couldn't get out of the contract until Feb. 19th, 2014 without paying the full contract price. After that I contracted with other companies for my 3 services and called them to cancel my services, because my initial 3 year contract was up. (I thought) I was told because I didn't call on February 19th to cancel they automatically renewed my contract and that I would be billed for 60 more days even though I wasn't using their services any longer. Oh, unless I still keep any of their services, then they would drop it.They directed me to an online contract that I never signed. The original contract had in SMALL PRINT that I agreed to the online contract. I also had to send a written disconnect form. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. read more

If I could leave less than one star I would. The only good thing about their device was that it was set up without any issues, which is sometimes a problem due to our location. After retaining the triple play service with them for over two years (during which we never used the phone line yet somehow still received spam calls) we were paying exorbitant amounts for internet and cable. I called and ended service a month ago and still received daily calls from their call center trying to claim payments. I finally answered their call last week and told them I had ended service and returned their equipment the day after I ended service. They apparently had no record of this. I have just received two further calls regarding the remaining balance owed when I had not even received a final bill yet. At this point I have another internet provider that provides comparable internet speed and have been contacted by Comcast to the point of harassment. I cannot express how deeply I would not recommend this service to anyone. Not a good value and exceptionally poor customer service. read more

I use your Internet, on your own website (comcast.net) to watch movies. It is the slowest, skipy, piece of crap I have ever used. Why?

I wanted to select zero stars but there isn't a zero. After thirty plus days of Comcast blowing smoke up my butt I have told them to pick up my equipment. They cannot figure out how to remove the trap off my line at the pedistol. Hmmm. How come I know more than the tech that told me I don't have one on my cable? Easy, I worked cable for thirty plus years and simply pointed it out to him in the front yard. His response? Laughable, you need this on the line to allow the bandwidth thru. Get a life and go back to school. It's called a trap for a reason. I suggest that you stay far away from Comcast/XFinity. The worst customer service (even when you can finally talk to somebody stateside, yes they offshore to Manilla) and the tech's know absolutely nothing. The worst company I've ever had to deal with!! We got a contract with them back in 2014. They've screwed us with our bill and our channels so many times that back in May 2016 we were just going to pay off our contract and start going to someone BETTER but they offered us a deal until November 2016 which is our LAST month with them. Thank Jesus! Everything was going great up until just a few days ago when they started saying that we don't have HD channels and certain local channels(we pay for the works!) and now they want us to pay more money to get those channels back! Not happening. For anyone looking to go through Xfinity- Comcast, save yourself some time, energy, and stress. This company is not worth it. You're better off looking elsewhere! read more

So annoying! Just got off the phone with someone who sounded Indian... I called the customer service number first they say "they dont know" that I would have to call the local spokane store. I call the local 509 number for the local store. It is a guy with a heavy Indian accent. And he said he didnt know that I would have to direct my call to customer service. Then after I said they told me to call him he just kept repeating himself over and over saying your will have to call customer service. It was so annoying. All I was calling to ask is if I could just mail the equiptment I am no longer using to that store instead of having to drive from coeur d alene to drop it off. THATS NOT A HARD QUESTION TO ANSWER! After reading some of the posted reviews I guess I'm probably going to be one of the exceptions. Had some minor problems installing my X1 system on my three TV's, but all were handled well by the associate I made contact with via telephone. The person who processed my complaint was located in the Philippines, but that made no difference to the outcome, which was highly satisfactory and resulted in all TVs functional and operating as advertised. One other thing worth mentioning was my personal contact with he representative at Customer Support at the Xfinity,Comcast office in Spokane. I was initially provided, via mail, with equipment to modify just one of my TVs and after calling Comcast was directed to the office in Spokane to pick up the additional two kits to modify my remaining television sets. The person I spoke with even offered to pay me gas mileage to pick up the kits. Anyway, the Xfinity Store Representative, in Spokane, Chris Lytle, handled my request, for the additional equipment, expeditiously and even reviewed my present Comcast contract which resulted in a lowering of monthly payments and a projected savings of $715.44 for the next two years. My Bravo Zulu goes out to this young man for his demonstrated job expertise and his customer relations proficiency. Probably would have given a five star rating, but, like I mentioned previously, I did have some minor installation problems, some of which were my own, but, in my opinion, nobody is perfect, so hence the 4 stars. read more

Do NOT get in to a contact with these idiots!!! I was told I will have the X1 triple play for $180 total tax and fees. My first bill comes and it is the right price. After the 30 day review period my bill went up to $206 per month. They claim that only the bundle price is in the contract and everything else can change!!! Equipment that I have rented the last 10 years, line fees, usage fees etc. what a scam and now it will cost me $200 to get out of the contract. I am sick of arguing my bill with these idiots every other month. When I first signed up with them 10 years ago my bill was $99 so I figured the $180 was fair with all the technology improvements and such. I have also rented my boxes for he last 10 years at about $50 per month, doubt the boxes are worth the $3000 I have paid over the years! This company is a scam, buyer beware! read more

Absolute worst! Everyone points the finger at everyone else. You cannot understand a single person in customer service. They want you to ok something when you have no idea what they just said. Classic "bait and switch". Quote you one price, then you are hit with another when the bill comes and you cannot get any recourse from anyone, because now you are "locked" in. If you ask to transfer to another rep (who you can maybe understand) they adamantly refuse and just dump you out to the automated system (again). Comcast is the worst internet provider I have ever dealt with. The worst part of their customer service is that it is completely rehearsed--here is an example: I sat on the phone with them for almost two hours attempting to set up my own cable modem and router at home (which they would not or could not authorize) and while I was waiting for them to do what other cable companies seem to get done in less than ten minutes, they were consistently trying to sell me stuff! They kept trying to sell me cable television channels despite me telling them I do not OWN a TV nor do I plan on it. When they couldnt sell me on that, they tried to upgrade my internet service.....BEFORE they had even gotten my connection to work!? I truly wish there were better alternatives in the area. The only thing a can say good about comcast is their speeds are fairly fast. Their customer service is the worst i have ever experienced in my 53 years on this earth. They are extremely rude and will just hang up on you. I am disabled and had been a customer of theirs for over 3 years and they locked out my service without warning and left me without phone service for 4 days because they detected some slight noise feedback coming from my house. Since i am disabled and have medical issues i need to have a way to get help if needed. They left me without 911 service and did not care at all. Luckily one of my friends with a cellphone checked in on me and let me use their phone to contact comcast customer dis-service and tell them i needed my phone fixed asap, they said they could not get out to help me for 4 days because they were behind in their new customer hookups. This is how they reward customer loyalty. I asked to talk to a supervisor and the customer service agent hung up on me. I called back and got a supervisor and they also hung up on me and i didnt use any cuss words or give them any reason to respond that way. If you are disabled or old i would not advise using them for any type of service unless you have a death wish or like to be abused since they could care less if you live or die. As icing on the cake my bill was not due for 3 weeks but they still have the nerve to ask me if i would like to pay my bill early after having hung up on me 2 or three times. Their customer service was so bad it's almost funny, like a Saturday night life skit; like customer care at a masochist meeting. All their agents must graduate from the Marquis de Sade customer care center; but this is what they call good customer service. This was not just an isolated incident with them but i put up with them because of their fast internet speeds. They were always adding things on my service without telling me so i always had to check my bill for phantom charges; they said they would give me credit for the 4 days i went without service...they didnt, they lied. I just finally have had enough of their lying, rudeness, and overpriced lack of good service and am switching providers this week. read more

Paying for performance internet and service is so slow from 7pm to midnight I can't even use it. Have had my mac pro, ipad and HP all checked and have been told it is not my devices...it is comcast. Called them 4 times times tonight and was hung up on 3 times. Finally on the 4th call a message says there is a service outage and service would be restored by midnight. Not true! They can't deliver the speed they promise during peak hours so service is worthless for me. read more

I've had Comcast since 2004. Every six months, my bill goes up -- not a little, a LOT. At the end of 2011, I wrote them a letter asking them to please lock me in with a reasonable price. I'd get the internet, phone, and teleision service they offer and they'd get a happy, good paying customer. They did not even respond to my letter. I finally called and managed to get a person who gave me a two year contract at a reasonable price! Hallelujah! But alas, here we are 9 months later, and the bill suddenly goes from $82/mo to $146! The person neglected to tell me that the two year contract only applied to two of the services, not all three. How does that work? WHAT? I've had it. I can't continue to have this level of frustration every few months! Time to unplug the TV, toss the landline out, and switch to another internet service provider. read more

WORST OF THE WORST! All of this happened in the first 3 weeks: 1) Tech "turned on" the service outside the apt, and then checked the connection inside. He said something wasn't quite right and needed to check outside again. He then left without informing me what was going on. I tried to do the "self install", assuming all was OK... no go. Called in to find out what was wrong and was told that there was a problem with the inside connection and another tech would have to come out. WHY DIDN'T THE FIRST TECH TELL ME THIS. This call in took 35 MINUTES! 2) The package that I signed an agreement for DIDN'T HAVE some of the channels that the brochure had listed. The ONLY WAY I could get those channels was to change to a higher priced package. WAIT A MINUTE... turns out this is a ONE SIDED CONTRACT ie Comcast doesn't have to provide the service that they promised, but I have to pay for their service for a specified time. This call in took 45 MINUTES! 3) Then channels in the new package started disappearing! Another! 45 MINUTE call, only to be told that those channels had been moved to DIFFERENT HIGHER PRICED package. 4) I only use 1 laptop or 1 cell phone at a time. I only surf the web, no TV, no movies, no games. The internet is slow, slow, slow and will sometimes cut out completely and... 5) Whenever I turn on my computer it automatically hooks up to a generic Xfinity site instead of connecting to my in-home modem, requiring that I have to manually choose the service I am paying for. AND this happens even when I open a new window. So I've decided to ditch Comcast/Xfinity within the 30 day trial period... GET THIS!... 6) WHEN I WENT TO CHANGE OVER FROM THE CABLE SERVICE BACK TO THE OVER-THE-AIR ANTENNAE SYSTEM... MY TV WILL NO LONGER SCAN FOR CHANNELS... THIS FUNDAMENTAL FUNCTION WAS DISABLED BY THIS FIASCO!!! THERE NEEDS TO BE A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST THESE BAIT AND SWITCH CROOKS. read more

The associate I worked with at this store called me a liar when I expressed to him that my boss had gotten a much better deal with them than I did (I saw the bill). Then he was very condescending towards me. The service is outrageously expensive and the taxes and fees are 20.03% of the bill (I did the math). Then the prices increase drastically. They used to offer On-Demand free but now they say it's free when in actuality you have to have the channel to get the On-Demand free. So, it's not free. You basically have to have the top package to get free On-Demand. The service is not worth the price at all, and to top it off, if the associates behave this way, it's absolutely ludicrous. The only thing they have going for them is the free hotspots, but service elsewhere is much better. Century Link offers phone and internet that never increases in price at an affordable rate. Then investing in a Roku and paying for HBO NOW and Netflix is waaaaaayyyy cheaper in the long run and is much more satisfying. Another route to go is T-Mobile unlimited everything, you get a phone (and they offer to lease the phone over time on your bill until you pay it off at a much more affordable price). Then, you can use your hotspot for your home and internet, then again with the Roku, HBO NOW, and Netflix and you're set. I will NEVER give Xfinity my business again, and I strongly urge you not to either. read more

Picture quality is bad. Wi. Put a big black screen up for e.r.s. so you can't watch live football. I get better tv quality with rabbit ears. The worst cusromer service. You are way better off with Netflix and rabbit ears. And you will save a ton of money. Think about it you are paying over $1200 a year to be treated like crap and watch a limited amout of tv on a tv that is capable of clear pictures but comcast sends it in low def. Xfinity Cable is a monopoly due to the heavily-tree lined streets and properties that block satellite services. I was done with their TV services as HULU/Netfliz/Amazon Prime/etc.,. makes it silly to pay $hundreds/month. Then along came XFINITY Mobile as an offshoot and upstart with comparable service to Verizon for 1/4 the monthly rates. Foolishly, I signed a new contract and paid $1750+ for two new phones for a promotional last Nov 2017. Now -POOF- no one can find the promotional and all refer you to online - then Chat - then call 800 and then call 888 hotline who refers you to a xfinityrewards website which is where I started after the CHAT - then another hour of reauthenicating the same five data fields I had to have to START the the first log on. Again with the infamous COMCAST Off Show customer service that cannot tell you what day it is in D.C. much less a Home Office. Mike - is right ... mobile service is FINE until it is not - then you are back to 2011 COMCAST-Xfinity Worse-in-US-Customer Service again. Once I find an internet provider - I will drop drop COMCAST and XFINITY ... Okay I can not believe how horrible Comcast is. They have brought so much distress and unhappiness to my life. Because of Comcast I was unable to play with my friend on an online game. My friend is one of my bestest friends in the world and Comcast is just... Just taking away our time together. I-I.. You don't understand how much my friends mean to me!! So there I was, all alone in the game by myself after my friend got randomly disconnected because of the horrible connection provided by Comcast. I waited in silence for an hour. AT LEAST AN HOUR!
