I have dealt with Xfinity in Harrisburg for years. Their service has declined. I was lied to multiple times, including convincing me that the problem was my phone. I reluctantly purchased a new phone, which requires a plan upgrade. Two days later I returned it, because I was lied to about the plan cost. It took months to return to the lower priced plan. When I tried to get help about it, the manager on duty was extremely rude and insulting! It took months, but I have proof that Xfinity is scamming customers by data loading accounts to make it look like you're using way more data. I average less than .25 gig/month. They data loaded my account to over 3 gig! DO NOT USE XFINITY MOBILE!!!! read more

I needed another box for my TV in the bedroom. Took it to Xfinity Store in Harrisburg PA on Jonestown Rd. I was given a new box, remote, and2 cables,the power cord, and directions. Came home and followed the directions to a T. THE REMOTE DOES NOT WORK!!! It is not turning my TV on. Have called a toll free number, - there is no where I could find for the local store number. The toll free number I called was also not great - took forever to get the "robo" to connect me to a live person!! Talked with some one, told me they would do a reset of it - would take an hour and I would get a call. NO CALL!!!! HOW am I to solve this mess! Xfinity is not all it says it is!!! I am so angry I have no TV in my bedroom due to the poor quality of the new box, other items and lack of way to get help from the local store!! read more

First I am a senior, I cannot get a person on any phone number, email or live chat. I am on the ACP, but I was made to pay with cash. The acp says to look for a provider and I went physically to the HUmmelstown store and he said he cannot help me, just pay the bill. Then I asked about a security camera, which I was prepared to fully purchase and a cell phone for seniors, my neighbor has, and he blew me off. He lied and wanted to upsell. He said I was loud when I complained about no contact and numerous hours of trying. I have all the numbers in my phone, emails. Now. ACP said get a provider, but Xfinity refused to put me on the account, or put the account on ACP. I have spent many stressful hours. I have high blood pressure. I cannot get a human being and when I did he said he could not help me. They are angry for low income senior customers. I do not know what else to do. I know the state rep had to help a senior in this building just a few months back. I guess I will have to go see him too. The worst phone service, no customer service, The man did not even show me one phone. I was going to purchase the camera in full. There is something not right about Xfinity. 5 stars for Comcast? Am I insane? Yes, but not because I gave this store a perfect rating. Based on my experience here signing-up for new internet and cell service, this was the most positive interaction I've ever had with this company. If only I could remember the name of the nice young woman who helped me, I'd give her some props. I did tell the store manager on the way out how good she was. This visit took about half an hour to set up both new services and I'm very pleased by both. My cell phone has never sounded clearer. The internet speed is as advertised and for $29.99 a month for 1 year. The cell service I chose was by the gig at $12 each. Unlimited data is $45 per month, but since I'm on Wi-Fi all the time, I don't need unlimited. FYI, Comcast patterned with Verizon for their mobile service, so if you switch, you'll need an iPhone that works on Verizon. Lucky for me, I bought my iPhone sim-free from Apple. I might be complaining in a year when the internet promotion ends, but I'll save money and have excellent service for the next 12 months. One tip for the store: don't come at peak times. Try to get here during the day to avoid long lines and wait times. Good luck! read more

My internet almost never works. In just a few weeks, Xfinity has sent out three technicians. Helping them troubleshoot their poor internet service has cost me a lot of time and money. Xfinity customer service promised that I'd be refunded for the weeks I was without reliable internet. Well, they never issued a refund, so I called, waited for over an hour and was finally directed to a manager. The manager flatly refused to issue a refund. They were arrogant and rude. If you enjoy working for Xfinity for free to help them troubleshoot their unreliable internet, then being treated rudely by their customer service, then by all means sign up for Xfinity services. read more

If you want to have an arrogant and unprofessional experience, go to the Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania store and ask to see Josh, the assistant manager. Never have I had the misfortune of having customer service this bad. Josh was extremely arrogant and yes, I saw you roll your eyes when I said something. I was trying to help my 84 year old mother resolve her phone problem. He was unwilling to try and help resolve her problem. When I said, my husband and myself would be leaving Xfinity because of him, he said, go ahead. Very unprofessional! So we left the store got in the car and called Xfinity and spoke to April who went above and beyond to resolve the problem which she did. Josh said, there was nothing he could do. I am just glad I was able to go with my mom and call Xfinity. How many senior citizens go in there by themselves and get someone like Josh who is not willing to help and end up paying for a phone they are unable to use? Walked into the "new" xfinity store on N. Atherton street yesterday to return their hardware modem bc I bought my own. I had to do a double take to make sure I didnt walk into an Apple store! Since when do they sell phones and have cushioned seating? About 15 people were either sitting, standing around, or looking at stuff. No signs telling people where to go, other than employees walking around with mini tablets on their wrists, asking for your first name, then walking away. Needless to say, i had to wait 12 minutes JUST to return a device that was already deactivated. Got the impression that even the employees didnt know what they were doing, as half of them were just walking around looking at stuff while every customer waiting there looked upset. Thankfully I only ever need to go there once every few years. read more

I had the misfortune of trying to return a box to the xfinity store because we no longer needed in a bedroom. The young man that we got was ignorant, and a condescending customer service person. He told us the box we were trying to turn in had to be kept. We have unplugged this box 2 wks ago and guess what all the other boxes work.
