Jeff, in the Orem, Utah store will lie to your face and smile. Went in to check about the $40 plus increase per month for 2024 and the $40 plus increase per month in 2023. Jeff, the customer service representative said that wasn't true. He said the increase was only $8 from last year! Then I pulled out the bills and he could not change the subject fast enough, accusing me of talking about increasing in 2002 and 2003. where do they get these guys. Bottom line he would not do anything for me! Slight $10 reduction a month. Imagine a company that bills loyal older customers much more than newer customer? I know that the people in the store have nothing to do with the internet service that the company provides, but the service is so awful, especially for the price. We've had spotty internet for weeks and the most they do is send an email saying that they're working on it. When it does work, it's much slower than advertised. They don't appear to have a way to give them direct feedback. They don't automatically refund you for lost service, you have to go through an appeal process. And the cherry on top is they love to rope you into one or two year agreements to "lock in your price", but then they silently bump your rate up when the contract expires and you'll essentially be paying double. So you have to call every single year and sign into another year long contract (I understand that you have to renew the contract, but at least they could reach out with an email to tell you to renew or something). All in all, I feel like the company is trying to get me to switch to Google fiber. Higher rate, but at least I know the internet will work. read more

We received a billing notification at our home address with someone else's name on it. We went into the local Orem, Xfinity branch, and the receptionist at the front desk was so incredibly rude and unhelpful. The customer service here is absolutely horrendous. We simply asked them to remove our address from someone else's account and she stated that they were unable to do so. Apparently you have to provide proof of your address when you were trying to correct a problem but not when you sign up for their service. Save yourself, stress and hassle and choose another provider. read more

I put a one because I can't select a zero. I was on the phone for 19 hours trying to get my situation resolved with my streaming app. I was yelled at by a supervisor, I was told I was lying by five different employees about which package I have, because they couldn't see that I had a full cable subscription on my current subscription. I was Cahors into changing my plan and then made it super difficult to change it back when I found out I was actually right and I had multiple employees confirm that. It was a mess and I don't want anyone else to go through this so if you can go with a different company. I really wish that Cox communications was in our area. read more

The worst customer service I have ever had. they transfer you to call center in Indi. that is if you can even talk to a human in the first place. after they finally activated my account they billed me. but I could not access the billing part of my account (convenient so they can bill me late fees). it is a coding error rendering error cannot read property's unrefined. but they act like it's my fault for the account. the only name in town to get internet so of course they treat all their paying customers like garbage. read more

Comcast is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. My father's month/y bill is ALWAYS wrong (i.e. higher). My wife and i have call so many times to make corrections I've lost count. This calls, bytw, take hours, not minutes. My father is older and I've gotten the impression that they intentionally make mistakes in their favor ($$) and provide horrible service to discourage you from connecting the company and calling them on their crap. Xfinity / Comcast doesn't even deserve the one star rating that I'm forced to give then by yelp. My wife and I just returned from a scheduled appointment at their Southwest Orem store where we were greeted outside by an associate, upon checking us in the associate told us that we would have to wait for 5 minutes, after waiting outside the front doors of the store for 15 minutes (all the while the associate was letting other customers in to the store to use the kiosk) we left. It's obvious that Xfinity / Comcast cares more about getting new customers than their existing loyal customers, who else will give new customers a better deal than existing customers and then not even be the slightest bit concerned about having customers wait outside for scheduled appointments that Xfinity / Comcast can't keep. Quotes from a recent conversation regarding internet speed: Me: hey, I paid for gig internet speed and I'm getting 30mb/s. That's like 3% of the advertised speed. Xfinity: your contract says "up to a gig" but we don't guarantee speeds. Me: well if I'm not going to get anywhere close to the advertised speed I'll just cancel. Xfinity: let me interrupt you to tell you that you qualify for our mobile plans. Can I interest you in signing up? Me: ...no, I just want to cancel my internet Xfinity: *hangs up on me* Their customer service people are bigger pricks than Joffrey Baratheon, their contracts change like Daenerys Targaryen's personality, and when their company fails people will mourn about as long as we did for Euron Greyjoy. read more

I came in to collect my free cable box because Xfinity cable tv is included in the HOA fees in my new apartment complex. Well, the girl I talked to was either ignorant or just straight up lied to me because she told me that I had to pay a monthly fee for the service even though I showed her my lease contract. That was really annoying, to say the least. My first impression of Xfinity was awful. I understand these sales associates get paid to sell, but really? I was just there to collect my free box and go home. I HATE your sales people. I left after I made it very clear that there must have been a misunderstanding. I then talked to my HOA and they confirmed that whatever equipment I needed from Xfinity will be free. So I went back the next day and talked to someone else. The person I talked to knew exactly why I came in: and that is to pickup my free cable box. He tried getting me to upgrade my free basic cable package but his approach wasn't anything like the annoying girl I talked to when I first came visited the store. Twenty minutes later I walked out with my free cable box. One day when I will pay for my own cable, I am NOT coming to this location. Your store sucks, Xfinity. read more

I signed up for the Internet with Basic Cable. After having a service call, I'm told the picture quality I'm receiving is only 480 and will be blurry on my 50" TV unless I pay another $10 per month. It's a customer service center, we all know it can be hit and miss how your treated. My feedback after coming to the store today is that the knowledge they share with their customers is inconsistent. The last time we were there they told us that the Super Bowl would be in 4K definition and other channels would be, but this time they told us nothing is available except for the Olympics will be available in 4K. They originally told us that we could bring in our DVR and swap for a 4K, but they told us they only ship them to your home upon special request. All in all, there was no point in going there, we could have done it online and just came in to return the old DVR once we received the new one. It would be lower rating; however, the staff is always very friendly. read more

I was enticed by a discount offer for 50 MB service. I have spent 2 months trying to get consistent Internet service, hours on hold with Customer and Tech Support, and now they can't even fix the tech problem because my account shows a balance due for the months I had spotty or no service. Unbelievable! The combined modem router is a terrible piece of equipment. I discovered after the fact that there was a device limit on my account (never disclosed during the sales process). The salesperson claimed 50MB up and down, but the actual account was 50MB down and 10MB up (which would have been awesome if I could have actually received it!) One of the worst customer experiences of my entire life. I recommend you pick somebody, anybody other than Xfinity for your Internet service. read more

We've had the 25Mbps internet service from Comcast/Xfinity now for the last 3-4 months, and it's been absolutely terrible. They have good up time, but you can't get more than 1Mbps sustained (wired). This was a 1 star review, but after my second time calling, I got on the phone with someone who wanted to make it right, so she upped me to the 50Mbps plan with basic cable for the same price as my 25Mbps plan. I don't know whether to be happy or feel scammed for not getting the package deal off the bat. Talking with others, the most popular strategy seems to be to threaten to quit every time the package deal is about to expire and get them to offer it to retain you. Really? That's your corporate strategy, Xfinity? Even the woman on the phone with support told me to call back before this 'deal' is about to expire and ask them to keep me on the plan and to keep doing that. Ok, that sounds more reasonable but ..wait, what? So you scammed me for three months and charged me a premium while giving me the scraps from the table? I also think they've just got no love for the 25Mbps package--it seems to be throttled way back to give priority to all the 'package' holders. Whatever, I would love to give them 5 stars for the internet speed alone, because now I'm consistently pushing 60Mbps, and I haven't lost service at all. 5 stars is just too big of a jump up from one initially, and while their service seems to be top notch, there still seem to be shenanigans coming from upper management. Why can't we just have honest pricing? Just give everyone the same fair 'deal'! it's not like it takes anything special to take advantage of it--you just need to know to ask for it. The slow speeds charges for small increases in speed which reach nowhere near what they say a data limit unless you pay for it the constant crashes every fucking week. The Customer Service Representative that helped me out pulled up my account and said "Whoa, you're paying a lot". I said "Tell me about it, I've called a bunch of times asking for a deal/reduction". DO NOT BUY THEIR INTERNET SERVICE IN PROVO! We've had ITs from our place of employment do scans on our internet service and it about 5% of what we pay for. We can't use it for work, and it's only a good enough signal for a couple small devices. When you relay the information to customer support they want to charge you $80 for a service fee. THE FREE PROVO GOOGLE FIBRE internet is so much better than the $60/month portion we pay just for the internet portion to Comcast in our bundled service is a complete waste of money. So in conclusion USE THE FREE GOOGLE INTERNET BEFORE COMCASTS BUSINESS INTERNET! We couldn't be any more dissatisfied with the internet service. The "business speed" at that. It's a complete waste of money and we're stuck in a contract. If Comcast fixed our speed we would re-review. read more

To help celebrate Salt Lake Comic Con 2015 the store offered a free Funko doll to anyone who came in and just watched a demo, no signup required. When I got there the salespeople were insisting anyone who wanted a free doll had to also sign up for at least the free trial period, but we could cancel within that time with no penalty, and that's how they were offering this Funko deal. There was no demo set up at all. That should have been the first indication something was wrong. I signed up for the free trial period and cancelled the account well within the free time. Didn't even take the equipment out of the shrink wrap. 24 days later, the second sign something is wrong comes when I get a call from a collection agency called Southwest Credit about an overdue bill for $39.33 with Xfinity/Comcast. I point out there should be no bill since I cancelled during the free trial, AND that they didn't even wait the required 30 days to contact, AND I never got an ordinary first bill to begin with (and yes, they got my e-mail address, phone number, and physical address when I signed up so it's not like I was hard to find). Southwest Credit said we had to talk to the company that sent them my information and have them call Southwest Credit to cancel the debt. Went back to the Xfinity store in person, and the agent there fiddled a bit on the computer and said, Okay, this is a billing error, it's cleared, you won't be hearing from them or us again. Today - two days after the 'billing error' was 'fixed' - Southwest Credit called again, still demanding to be paid on the same "past due" account. The guy was really weird about it - kept saying that even if I challenged the bill, and even if Comcast contacted them to clear it, the most they could do is remove my contact info from their record, but my credit report would still reflect a bad credit rating for non-payment "unless you pay anyways". Threatening illegal and financially harmful practices? Really?! Are you kidding? He was not kidding. And I, sadly, was too angry to think about recording OR telling him about the FDCPA violations he was committing. Not to mention the attempted fraud, extortion, and intentional infliction of distress. Looked up this company - they have a history of trying to collect on debts that don't exist and have actually filed bad credit reports on people who challenged them. So now I get to worry they might do it to me, too. Called Comcast customer service - the reps there again confirmed I have no bill with them at all, and said I have to discuss getting the bill cancelled only with Southwest Credit, not Comcast or Xfinity, which is wrong. The guy just would not budge, but claimed he'd send some kind of a courtesy check because of the inconvenience. Nice, but not going to fix my credit rating. Went to the Xfinity store again today, spoke to the agent I originally signed up with and he confirmed I wasn't supposed to be charged anything and as far as Comcast records go I owe nothing. Also contacting Comcast/Xfinity customer service via Twitter on the off chance that goes better. I mean, NO written notice at all and then this? For a $10 doll? Next time I'll just go buy one at a normal store. Seriously unhappy. Word to the wise - RECORD AND DOCUMENT every interaction you have with this store, this company, and anyone trying to collect a debt no matter how friendly and honest the agents you deal with seem. Documentation is everything in a legal and financial dispute, especially involving something as shady as whatever the heck they're trying here. Ai ai ai. Honestly, if you have he choice, I wouldn't spend any more time debating whether or not to use Comcast. To set up my internet, it look 45 min on the phone, but whatever at least it works.. Decently. Then to set up my tv, one 35 min phone call to find out a technician needs to come over, then the phone like disconnects. Another 30 minute call (same process) with the outcome the same. A technician needs to come out.. Hey maybe you'll get lucky though and they will be fast and effective. Reviews say otherwise though. read more
