Probably the best experience I've had signing up for any utility/service. I came in having an idea of what I wanted, brought in my own modem and cellphone, and I walked out with broadband internet and cell service from Xfinity. Mr. Aziz was really helpful, and was great to talk to. He asked a few questions, I showed him the offer/mailing I received and he gave me options. Went in asking for equipment they advertised online, she assured me several times that it was the correct equipment, only in the end for it to be the first generation refurbished model which she didn't disclose and clearly not the pods they have online. If I could give a negative star review, I would. When I first visited the store, the young man who helped me was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing. When I started having issues with download speed and high latency, I tried to deal with it online but was rebuffed because my order (dropping home phone service) was "pending." What transpired was hours of dealing with people who did not speak English or understand how to deal with problems. Finally, I got someone to close out the "pending" ticket, clearing the way for me to request a service call. I tried online, through non-English speakers, AI chatbots, and a series of what appeared to be chatter in India, but got disconnected and received no help. I returned to the store and was told that the problem was probably with my equipment (previously checked out by a Certified IT Specialist at my expense) and when I told the guy that was not the case and showed him the logs from Xfinity's own system (wildly fluctuating latency and speed, dropped connections, etc.), he simply waived me off and told me there was nothing he could do. He suggested I go home and use my remote to schedule a service call. Since I'd already tried that without success, I asked if there was any charge to cancel service. His response was even more disrespectful and he was joined by a group of apparent sales guys standing around looking at their phones, who started making mocking noises about me complaining. When I tried to get their names, they told me to leave the store, so I took a picture of the rudest one. He then tried to grab my phone and got very hostile. It is unfortunately true that Comcast/Xfinity has a monopoly to provide fiber internet in Carmel, but the company isn't helped by being associated with clowns like these guys. I'm now forced to choose between lousy Comcast service or switching to Starlink and further enriching Dr. Evil, with the likelihood that Starlink will be just as bad as Comcast. read more

We had an appointment at the Xfinity store in San Mateo. The rep that helped us started with an attitude and seemed like he didn't want to help us. My mom in her late 80's had a few questions and the rep was unable to speak in a respectful and helpful tone to explain things to her. All of this new technology is not easy for older people to understand. He did not explain what he was doing on the computer with our account. He was constantly looking at his phone but not communicating with us at all. He did crack a few jokes with another associate. I work as a Concierge and was impressed with Alec at the Xfinity Comcast office in Northridge Mall. I get frustrated in the Sand City office so I drove to Salinas. Alec greeted me the minute I walked in. We walked to his desk and Alec fixed and explained my issues within minutes. That's what I call good customer service! Thanks Alec! I have been a Comcast/Xfinity customer for over 30 years. I had internet, phone and TV Cable with them. Last year, my rate went up 10% and this year, it was to go up another 20%. I called their customer retention agent was offered no relief from their higher bills. I was not dissatisfied from the service I had, but the continual increases in price forced me to check out their competitors. As a result, I am getting just as much, actually more than I was from Comcast at a little over 50% of what I would have been paying Comcast. read more

If they set you up correctly and you are happy, never change anything in regard to your plan. We had been a customer for 13 years and decided to have security removed from our service. We went in and explained this to the rep and he said no problem we will remove this and it will take about $100 off of my monthly bill. Cool. What he never told us was he needed to do was put us on one of their new plans. We go home and turn on our TV and we went from 185-ish channels to 6 and our 100+ hours of DVR was wiped out as it was changed to a 20 hour limit. After calling a foreign country, it was understood that the shows and clips that we had saved over the years were not to be saved and are gone into the void of cyberspace. A couple days later I went back to the office and turned in every piece of Comcast equipment I had on my property. The rep this time did not once ask why. He did not care. He handed me a receipt for the equipment and said we were all set. I said we were not "all set" as I needed to speak to a manager. He started dodging my request until I told him that it was not going to be about him. Then he asked what my name was and what the reason was. I told him my name and that I just needed to speak to him. After about a 10 minute wait, a female assistant manager came out and asked how she could help me. I indicated that I have been in a position similar to hers and if there was a negative issue, I would want to know so I could investigate further. All she said was that she was sorry and handed me her card and said, "If you ever want to come back to us, come in and ask for me." That was it. She never asked for my name or gave any assurance that the issue would be resolved. No question if there was anything they could do to retain my business. Simply put, they don't care. The employees here take orders, get a check, and go home. There is no pride in having a job and doing good work anymore. Sad. read more

Brandon Schade (or Schads) is the best customer service specialist!! He made sure he asked the right answers so I explained what I need for my work and school for my computer and other devices. He gave me the directions on my xfinity app to activate the gateway. He did say it takes 15 min to connect everything. It works!! Much better than my arris own modem. Highly recommended to Brandon!! He basically started our conversation with an attitude problem. After a bad experience from the carrier of my cell phone I stopped by the Xfinity store wondering if I could get the cell phone I wanted there with better customer service. What an amazing experience! I was immediately greeted in a friendly manner when I walked in. They were busy but I was told I could be seated and someone would be right with me. They had nice displays of phones and accessories and while looking at the phone on display that I wanted, a young lady approached and introduced herself and she shared her knowledge of the phone I wanted as she also had the same one. She was able to order it in my second choice of color and answer my numerous questions all with a smile and wonderful attitudes. I was so impressed I switched from my present carrier to Xfinity. Have the phone I wanted, and Cassidy switched all info onto my new iPhone and gave me wonderful service at all times. So, this place mocks more on the AT&T sales floor vibe. I went in with a quick question, the greeter guy was awesome (sorry I forgot the name) then 3 girls came out. I'm don't have service yet but was helped by Claudia (only with eye glasses) and was in a bit of a rush and murmured as she asked questions. Don't get me wrong I looked like crap today but behind the crap Is someone who likes to be treated well Since I have plans in buying your services that I can afford FYI. I came here with my wife to clarify our bill. We weren't sure why we were being charged so much and surprisingly were greeted almost immediately on weekend. That was pretty shocking to me. They were full staffed and probably just waiting for the rush to begin. The sales associate looked up our account and informed us why our bill was higher than expected. Made sense. Pretty sure this place is (fairly) new. I came here on my lunch break to pick up a modem since we couldn't find ours. There's ample parking since it is located in a shopping center, but you may miss it due to trees blocking your view of the sign (I almost did). I was just treated rudely by one of the higher ups at this store. I went in to ask about my billing and whether I could sign up for one of the deals I was offered on the Comcast website. The people there refused to believe it was possible and kept trying to tell me about how it was an introductory rate, etc. The Comcast employees at other branches I've been to have always looked for deals for me. Long story short, always check the website -- log in and manage your service -- for deals available. I saved $10 a month that way. You also don't have to deal with mansplainers who talk over and interrupt you instead of listening. I went to comcast store to cancel my cable tv account - happily dropped of the equipment. I kept the internet service in tact. When I got back home the cable modem was offline. The in store moron agent cancelled the entire account. He was rude while my wife and I were in the store and screwed us by turning off our internet. We got YouTube tv via Roku which is 45 a month - my comcast bill for tv and internet was almost 400 a month. Of course we can't watch it because the comcast agent turned our internet account off Now they're saying they will have a technician come out to my house Friday. This is absolutely outrageous. While the employees at the store were helpful and polite, they could not give me an answer to my question. I am currently towards the end of my 2 year contract. A contract where I pay $200+ a month to receive certain channels. About 3 months ago I started to no longer receive some of the channels. When I asked why, I was told that if I wanted to keep those channels, I needed to purchase additional packages and extend my contract another 2 years. So even though I'm still under the contract that I pay $200+ per month to receive those channels... I am out of luck. Unless I want want to fork over extra. Nope! At the end of my contract... If I could give zero stars, I would. Xfinity has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I placed an order for a wifi package and waited several days for the equipment to be delivered. I received no email communication as to the status of the order or a tracking number. When I first called customer service to see why the equipment hasn't arrived, they informed me that it was scheduled to be delivered the next day by 10 am. I changed my plans so I could be available when the equipment arrived. Meanwhile, I have to purchase wifi hotspots so I can do my work online. After waiting most of the day, I called customer service again to see if I could get a tracking number. They told me that the equipment isn't being delivered and that I need to pick up the equipment at the Xfinity store at the Northridge Mall in Salinas. I was frustrated but I was willing to pick up the equipment myself because they had already activated my service. They provided me with an order number and said to just give it to someone at the store and they would give me the equipment. After a 30 minute drive to the Xfinity store in traffic, I arrived and gave the representative the order number. After checking the order number in the computer, he said the equipment should have been delivered to my home and they did not have the equipment for me. I explained that I was told by customer service to go to that store to pick up the equipment and it would be ready. He provided no explanation or offer to call to see what the issue was. At this point, I was not only frustrated but pissed off for getting misinformation from customer service and risking my health to go to a location that did not have the equipment for my order. I cancelled the order and will NEVER use Xfinity or Comcast in the future. I recommend you do the same. read more

Went to Comcast Hillsdale San Mateo to switch an Iphone8 and Iphone10 from Verizon. The Iphone10 worked. My Iphone8 phone would work, but no voice mail. Went back two more times. The Manger said there is nothing he could do, and for me to call customer service. Call on Friday Tech support. They said they would call back in 3 to 4 days. They never did. I called a week after the last call I made. They said to wait another 3 days. My phone shows unactivated even though I can make calls. The Hillsdale office broke my working phone and take no responsibility in fixing the problem. I have never had such a bad experience in doing such a Simple task as activating a working phone. We were given wrong information from the start! We chose a package where it clearly said that Investigation Discovery was included. I also made sure to confirm that with the sales rep, Quinn. After install, we came to find that Investigation Discovery WAS NOT included in the package we chose. So I went back to this location to see what the issue was. I was then told by one of the reps that Investigation Discovery was not included with a bundle package and since we also had internet, this would apply to us...I ask to speak to the manager, FERNANDO and he said something completely different. He said that the pamphlet I was given had an old channel lineup and that Investigation Discovery was no longer available. I asked why we were shown something that is no longer accurate. After asking that simple question, he immediately got a horrible attitude with me and my husband. His explanation was that it was not his responsibility to update the channel lineup and said to just cancel since we had 30 days to do so. My husband then told him that he should advise his reps of this information so this doesn't happen again. He rudely responds "don't tell me how to do my job" and basically showed us the door. Fernando is a very poor representation of the company and is astonishingly unprofessional. Xfinity has lost my business because of this individual.
